“i visited this place the day after four chord festival in July during that insane heat wave. needless to say, I was extremely dehydrated and needed SOMETHING. I literally have never had such a fresh, pure tasting smoothie in my life. I felt sooo good after having one, that I came back for a second one. I cannot stress how much this place is a must-visit every time I come to Pittsburgh from the mason-dixon. 5 stars isn't enough.“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. The food was done in minutes and when I went to check out he told me to put my money away the first one is on the house. There aren’t to many businesses like this one in this day and age. “Love this place! The space is amazing with huge outdoor/indoor seating and nice big circular bar. They have a great variety of styles - all were great. You can try a bunch of 10oz pours or stick with 16oz. Their merch is really nice too! I can see myself coming here again and again; definitely one of the more notable Pittsburgh breweries.“

“I often work remotely from my laptop, and this shop has always been my go-to after moving to the Southside in 2020. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and the baristas are extra attentive and caring. I love this spot so much so that after two years of being a "regular" I started working here part time. As a customer turned employee, I can honestly say that being behind the counter is just as amazing as my experience from the other side of the bar. Lavinia puts so much heart into every detail and cares deeply about fostering a sense of community within the shop (for both employees and customers). I recommend Delanie's to everyone in hopes of it becoming their favorite spot too!“

“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Update: Recently, I’ve noticed a couple times that the chai chai chai has been served lukewarm, which is a bit disappointing. It’s definitely more yummy and enjoyable hot.

Previously: I enjoy Dobra Tea for its diverse international teas and tasty snacks. The cozy ambiance and unique interior design are a plus, but it can get a bit too crowded and noisy during busy times, which isn't my preference. The masala chai is delicious. A great spot to chill with friends or a partner, though I'd recommend avoiding peak hours for a more relaxed experience. Overall, I'd definitely go back.“

“My husband and I stopped by yesterday with our young autistic son. We gave the staff a heads up that eating inside may or may not work depending on our son and how he was able to handle it. The people were so kind, understanding, and accommodating and did everything they could to try to make our visit possible. From giving us the choice of where we'd feel most comfortable to sit, to offering cartoons and crayons. They even made up a batch of fries before we came in so our son would have something to eat as soon as we sat down. Unfortunately we weren't able to eat inside but we did get our food to go and it was delicious. Being the parent of an autistic child can be challenging, and it makes all the difference in the world to feel like there are people who care. They absolutely made our day. Thank you so so much.“

Called ahead to see if they sell by the slice (they do) a wonderfully kind women answered the phone and took my order. ~15 mins later I’m enjoying warm custom made pizza slices. Reminds me of the cherished ‘galaxy’’ pizza I used to get growing up.

“In town visiting with family - coffee is a necessity to begin any day. Big Dog Coffee is exactly what we needed. Relaxed atmosphere- great coffee and fabulous pastries and sweets. If you’re in Pittsburgh- definitely stop by and support local small business. ☕️“

“Absolutely obsessed.  Homemade, house-smoked barbeque.   The owners and staff are extremely sweet and friendly.  They do have indoor and outdoor seating which is super nice in the warmer months.  They do close in the one area for additional seating and have heaters so it’s not too cold! The flavor, spices and way the items were prepared with absolutely delicious.  The meat melts right in your mouth.  Tried the wings- three jumbo smoked whole wings. They are slow cooked & flash fried. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible- slow smoked pork, tossed in a house Carolina cider mop piled on top of a Breadworks bun and Pittsburgh pickles. The brisket is a slow smoked Texas style brisket and we tried that on top of the creamy Mac and cheese. WOW- the brisket was so tender. And of course had to try their corn bread. Which came hot and totally hit the spot.“

Brought along my dog, whom the kind owner treated like royalty – offered her a treat, freshened her water and gave her some quality attention while my friend and I enjoyed excellent pizza offered on the menu. It is a beautiful venue where one can take in the riverside view. Everyone there was friendly and relaxed. Five stars and then some. Will definitely return!“

“I stopped by Brave Bean on North Shore recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. I ordered a chai latte with whole milk, but unfortunately, it was way too strong for my taste. There was so much chai and not enough milk that it threw off the balance—it came out way too spicy and intense to enjoy. The atmosphere wasn’t quite what I expected. It had more of a cafeteria vibe and felt kind of empty—maybe I just came at a quiet time, but I was the only person there. That said, the barista was very kind and friendly, which definitely helped brighten the visit. Also, they have a wide selection of drinks, almost like a smaller, local version of Starbucks—which could be a plus if you’re into variety.“
