“Such a fun venue with lots of exciting shows! I've been for the recession pop party in May and we're headed to the Taylor Swift party tonight. The hot dogs are delicious (they have lots of specialty dogs with various toppings!) and the drinks are absolutely phenomenal. The people who work there are great, I accidentally deleted the email with my tickets and Mariah emailed me very shortly afterwards and got me taken care of! It is clear that Bottlerocket takes pride in their shows and their contributions to Pittsburgh culture! We can't wait for even more fun events in the future!!! 🩵🩵“

“I love this place! I was in Pittsburgh for a work thing, and this bar was around the corner from my hotel. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a neighborhood bar where everyone seems to know each other. I love that it's not one of these places that tries to be all fancy and stuff. If you want to avoid those type of places, I highly recommend Birmingham Bridge Tavern. The food is damn good too! I recommend the fish sandwich and the Pittsburgh reuben. Drink well, eat well, and hang out with real people! Thank you BBT for an awesome Pittsburgh experience!“

“Wanted to make sure I wrote this review bc of my amazing experience. First, to get this out of the way… really cool vibe, great beers at great prices, and a great spot for local music. I went recently to see Sacred Monsters who were in town from Philly. It was the lead singer, KP’s birthday and we wanted to do something special for her. Long story short, Toy is amazing. Not only did she help with the surprise but she… on her own… ordered cupcakes for KP since I couldn’t find a cake that met her dietary restrictions. She was so helpful and enthusiastic about helping. I can’t wait to go back.“

“This is a nice venue with top quality music acts, very friendly employee's and very clean. There is a small parking lot and street parking. Very minimal noise level. They don't serve food but everyone goes to a place two doors down and brings it back. I highly recommend Moondogs!“

“Where else in town can you smoke a pack of cigs that came out of a retro machine... drink cheap beer and eat the largest chicken wings I've ever seen in my life? Also you're technically allowed to graffiti in the bathrooms, just don't write on the pinball machine. The jukebox is really cool too. I won't be back for personal reasons but I liked sitting in this bar even when I stopped drinking, it was cool to see everyone else having fun. The BBQ wings are seriously delicious (why are they so big??? Not complaining just impressed) and there are always weird movies playing on TV, and they write a fun little quote on the chalkboard daily which was honestly my favorite part. “If you like hood bars this is the place to go. They have pool tables and food but I never ate there but I heard the food is BOMB! You also have to try those jello shots that Auntie makes which are very strong. My only GRIPE is that they use the state regulated pours so the bartenders really can't show you little love but at least they don't charge you an arm and a leg“

You've found it...at the R BAR... 5 mins. from downtown(avoid rush hour) The owner is a semi-retired musician..and his wife besides being a "Hottie" LOL..Is the salt of the earth...If you make it there on Sundays..You'll find one of the best"Bloody Mary's" around...and a 6 piece band called "The Midnight Horns" who all lead their own bands doing the week,but come together at the R BAR to roar..(Jazz,R@B,Blues)..I must also mention 2 of the best bartenders around..Toni and Billy.will treat you like family...So why not give the R BAR 5 stars? Only because of it's size,and no food..however a Pizza parlor opened next door with a wide variety of treats...good enough to feed those Boilermakers..from the R BAR...“

“Porky's is a hidden gem in PGH. The BBQ is fantastic. The smoked wings are some of the best I've ever had and the atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for in a relaxed yinzers bar. It's a great spot to watch sports and the staff is very accommodating to most requests.“
