“Shawn and his staff knocked it out of the park on our recent visit last Saturday evening! Place was packed to the brim and yet the service and food were all spot on. Our server Laryssa was on top of everything we needed and was such a nice gal. The kitchen was turning out a ton of food but our appetizers came out quickly and our steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered. Shawn came over and introduced himself between bussing tables and asked if he could help the staff with anything. Pizza was pretty good flavor wise, could have used just a little more sauce, but loved the little pepperoni cups. Hoagie was good and a surprisingly large size for the price, i think that was probably my favorite. Seemed pretty busy when I ordered, I was on hold for a couple minutes while they took care of other customers at the counter, but they still managed to get the pizza and hoagie cooked and ready in 20 minutes!“

“I got a whole Sicilian Pizza with pepperoni and sausage. I would say the pizza was an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. So, I rate it as tasty. I enjoyed it. I let most of it cool to then put in the freezer, so I can have some quick and easy meals when I'm busy. I usually reheat takeout pizza in either in the oven or I'll use a toaster oven.“

“The soups are usually pretty good. The only complaint I have is the wait times during peak hours. I tend to order only soup and a piece of bread, but the wait time on that can be over 15 minutes. It would be nice if orders like that could be filled at the register quickly, or while we’re in line trying samples. Overall I’d recommend Zoup, just get there before 12:00 or after 1:00 on weekdays“

“This was our first time eating from The Other Place, after being recommended by family. We ordered a pizza with double pepperoni. There was plenty of cheese (a big plus, or really as it should be), and the pepperoni were small and curled up on the edges, nice and crispy just like I like. Paying extra for double pepperoni, I think there could've been more. I appreciate that the sauce and pepperoni were flavorful, but NOT spicy. I have zero tolerance for spicy heat (even black pepper is too hot for me!) and oftentimes I find that pizza sauce and pepperoni are spicy with little actual flavor.

We also ordered an Italian hoagie minus the olives (I've never heard of olives on a hoagie!) and it was tasty. The bread was fresh, the sweet onions were great, and I appreciate the Italian dressing was on the side. Usually the filling overflows a hoagie, so I'm deducting 1 star because I feel like hoagie could've had a bit more, and the pizza definitely should've had more pepperoni (having paid for double).

We were told it would be 30 minutes, but the food was hot and ready to go in under that. The lady who took our payment was super friendly and engaging. (Even my young daughter commented on how nice she was as we were leaving!)

Overall I highly recommend The Other Place and would not hesitate to eat here again!“

I got the Cranberry Poppins salad. It was fresh, delicious and very large. The rest of my party had the fish sandwich, the chicken tenders and fries and the Alcove Burger. Everyone liked their food. We left just as the band was setting up. Would definitely go back again.“
