“We were up at the Tesla dealership and decided to stop and try Firebirds for dinner before driving home. It was AMAZING. The good smells hit as soon as you open the door. The design and layout is very well done. Our server tonight was Jake and he was the best. He told us about the restaurant (we have never been before) and made three recommendations and we took all three. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Definitely will come again!!“

My one bit of negative feedback is that I’m a vegetarian and when I looked at the menu online I found a delicious looking eggplant dish but they have apparently gotten rid of that. I was able to find some delicious things but I think it would be good to update your online menu to reflect this.Our server was great, but service was pretty slow. “You stand in line you order what you want and they cook it fresh right in front of you they weigh it up then you pay at the end you can eat inside or a balcony upside or outside across the street there's a free parking lot with benches you could sit outside and eat and it don't cost nothing to park there“

“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“I come with my husband for lunch. We always get the lunch special and he LOVES the soup that comes with it. I adore the Tum Yum veggie soup. The summer roll is so fresh and the crab app is crispy and always hot. It’s a family owned business so that just makes it even better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get. Try the Musaman curry with beef. The owner is so sweet and that’s what keeps my husband and I coming back for more.“

“The food is amazing! Flavorful and fresh. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the South Hills. My go-to is Veggie Chow Mein with an order of Momos (dumplings). We also love the Chicken Biryani and Tikka Masala. The name of the restaurant has changed from Sagun to Allegheny Spice Kitchen. The new menu is huge so don't be afraid to try it all!“

“The fish was huge & falling off the plate. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere that they didn't forget to bring something out...like ranch or mayo, but it didnt happen here. “me and my boyfriend drove about an hour from beaver county to try shay and baeee's restaurant. the food was pictured exactly how it looks from the pictures online. my boyfriend got the lobster and shrimp. he said everything was fire, only thing he would of changed was to have more lobster meat. I got the chicken and steak, everything was great. chicken was a little dry (nothing a little sauce can't fix) and the cabbage and Mac n cheese was good. cabbage was just a little spicy for me (I'm weak with spicy foods so may be fine to others) go support small business, and hopefully we'll see y'all in beaver county one day!“

“This might be some of the best food we've had in the area without having to go into the city. We had my husband's 40th birthday dinner here with about a dozen of us. Our group can be loud and obnoxious, but everything they did was great and exceeded our expectations! Gina, the owner, was so easy to get along with and accommodating when making the reservation. Id say it serves kids 10 and under. I’ve been in Pittsburgh for about 5 years and I can finally say that I found my spot for fried chicken. “We tried this place for the first time last month and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We didn't have a reservation but they sat us in the bar area so I guess I would most likely make a reservation next time . I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was huge ! Also very good . “I have too many words to share to describe this establishment. Tonight was my first experience dining here, after a day date with my boyfriend we decided we were in the mood for hibachi. The first mistake we made was driving from Robinson to Carnegie to dine at Benihana‘s. Within thirty minutes of being there, we left (but that’s another story) Unsatisfied and still very hungry, we decided to stop in at Sapporo’s. They didn’t open until 4:30 (at this time it was 4PM) and noticing the website says reservations only, I called to make sure it was okay we dine in. The man on the phone said what time can you be here and I informed him we were already in the parking lot. He told me “I’ll see you in thirty minutes” The moment we walked in we already knew we made the right decision. The table we sat at was full of kind people. Everyone was talking, sharing stories, laughing etc. it literally felt like we were sitting at the dinner table with FAMILY. The chef came out who happens to be the owner. A one man show, and boy did he kill it! The food was so fresh. I had the filet and scallops and it was cooked to perfection. Not only did he make a great meal. He shares stories himself, took the time to actually enjoy our company and show his appreciation that we were there. He must be the sweetest man I’ve ever met. His wife was very pleasant as well! The waitress was so accommodating and very on top of things with her being the only one there. I honestly think this is the longest review I ever made… I could go on and on but long story short, you will NOT be disappointed with Sapporos.! Living nearly 5 minutes away, this will be our forever date night spot!“

“Amel's is top of the line Mediterranean cuisine and my favorite go-to for baba gannouj. They have an extensive menu (including American fare) and always have several dinner specials. My favorites: stuffed eggplant, mazze platter, tabbulee, grape leaves and lamb shish kabob. The beet salad is excellent. Their seafood specials are always fresh and delicious! The swordfish kabob is outstanding if it's on special. Entrees include a stellar Amel's salad and warm pita bread. There's a separate bar with patio seating and a small bar in the dining room. Embellishing a great dinner is a warm and colorful ambiance of many hanging lamps, and the romantic mural on the wall will captivate your imagination! I've enjoyed dining here for years, and it offers good service and a moderately priced menu. Amel's is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy a late dinner or small plates and cocktails. They are open until 11 pm Monday through Saturday. If you are looking for a big hit for a party try the mazza platter. I thoughtful friend added it to my birthday party menu. It contains, the dips, taboulee, artichoke hearts, stuffed grape leaves and pita. It can also be also vegan friendly and gluten-free, and everyone loved it!“

“I've only had takeout from this restaurant, but it is my favorite takeout in the area. Food is always hot and flavorful. Pork fried rice contains generous portions of very flavorful pork. Not sure what type of crab is used, fairly certain it was not lump crab meat? We will try a different seafood entree or sandwich on our next visit & hope for better.“
