“We had sushi here last weekend. Service was quick, food was good, price was reasonable. Only issue was we had a little of a smell sitting in the back by bathroom. Got wiffs of sewage. I still recommend going, just sit in the front by the windows.“

“We went for a valentines dinner and had a magical night. We were seated along the window with a mesmerizing view of the best city out there. We ordered the experience with saki after a couple of tasty cocktails, which was great because it took the deciding out of it and gave us a great selection of what they had to offer. If you’re looking for a spot that’s actually worth the money… Umami Japanese Restaurant did NOT disappoint. We ordered a mix of everything🤤 Blood orange Pork Chop, nigiri, chirashi, pork belly & chicken thigh skewers and cocktails❤️‍🔥 every single plate was top tier! The flavors were super fresh, well-balanced, & you can tell they really care about quality. The pork chop was juicy with that perfect char on a bed of funnel & pear shreds. The chirashi bowl was BEAUTIFUL, fresh cuts of fish, generous portions, and just overall chef’s kiss 💋 Even the smaller bites like nigiri were done perfectly. Cocktails were just as good (and fun names too 👀). Everything came out looking like a full experience, not just a meal. Not to mention the dj was 🔥🎶

“I have too many words to share to describe this establishment. Tonight was my first experience dining here, after a day date with my boyfriend we decided we were in the mood for hibachi. The first mistake we made was driving from Robinson to Carnegie to dine at Benihana‘s. Within thirty minutes of being there, we left (but that’s another story) Unsatisfied and still very hungry, we decided to stop in at Sapporo’s. They didn’t open until 4:30 (at this time it was 4PM) and noticing the website says reservations only, I called to make sure it was okay we dine in. The man on the phone said what time can you be here and I informed him we were already in the parking lot. He told me “I’ll see you in thirty minutes” The moment we walked in we already knew we made the right decision. The table we sat at was full of kind people. Everyone was talking, sharing stories, laughing etc. it literally felt like we were sitting at the dinner table with FAMILY. The chef came out who happens to be the owner. A one man show, and boy did he kill it! The food was so fresh. I had the filet and scallops and it was cooked to perfection. Not only did he make a great meal. He shares stories himself, took the time to actually enjoy our company and show his appreciation that we were there. He must be the sweetest man I’ve ever met. His wife was very pleasant as well! The waitress was so accommodating and very on top of things with her being the only one there. I honestly think this is the longest review I ever made… I could go on and on but long story short, you will NOT be disappointed with Sapporos.! Living nearly 5 minutes away, this will be our forever date night spot!“

“When we need something fast, at a great value and tasty, we had yo yhe Mall food court and get Sarku Japan’s chicken or shrimp cooked on the hibachi. You get a protein, vegetables and either steamed rice, fried rice or noodles for an extra charge.The service here is fast and friendly, the chefs work very fast and hard all day pumping out the delicious teriyaki chicken or shrimp. My wife asks dor mo sauce and they make here chicken separate on the hibachi.The quantity they give you is a lot and we never leave here hungry. They even will add extra chicken for an up charge, but unless you are very very hungry, it is not needed. They also do a small porion of just rice and chicken.We have been goung here for many years and it is a great place for fast, healthy, tasty and reasonable priced food for lunch or dinner.“

“Little Tokyo Restaurant is in Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh, PA. LTR has hibachi, udon and Ramen bowls, sushi and other options. The food was great as was the service. We had steak and shrimp hibachi, yummy roll (shrimp tempura inside with crab), udon bowl and a spicy tuna hand roll. The only complaint is how loud it was inside. At times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table. I would return if I'm in the area again.“

Based on the prices and location, I would have never expected such a high quality meal with such a pleasant staff experience. I believe the gentleman who assisted me was named Bawi (I could have misheard). He could not have been more kind and gracious. I was there at the end of the night after a fairly slow weekday for them, and he was telling me how they make all of their Sushi fresh --every single day. Since they would not be carrying any of their pre-prepared rolls into the next day, he sent me home with a few samples of some rolls to try something new and share w/ my family. Definitely a signature piece u find along of ppl passing them off now adays just filled with cream cheese and sugar. These actually had crab in them. They looked smelled and tasted great. The egg drop soup was also on point. The presentation of everything was very nicely done. Now let's talk about them prices. They were more than fair. Definitely our new spot for sure.
