“We came here for my sister's birthday and ordered crab Rangoon, fried pork belly, vegetable samosa, momo dumplings, red, yellow, and green curries, and also the spicy noodles. The crab Rangoon and fried porkbelly were our table's favorites and the momo dumplings were super tender. The fried chicken breast on the spicy noodles were very tender ? overall a fantastic experience at a super friendly family owned restaurant. Would highly recommend!“

“A few places I frequent are partnered with Panaderia Jazmin, and when I was in the vicinity of this bakery, I had to stop. All the pastries are kept in a self-serve display case. You grab a tray and tongs at the door, and then you fill up your tray with the pastries you want to take home. You hand the tray over at the register, and they package them up for you.I loved all of the items I went home with, and I look forward to stopping there again.“

“Went here for my birthday dinner w/ mom. 2nd time here. Plantain empanadas were 1 of the best things I’ve ever eaten hands down. Super fresh food. Generous portions. Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Overall top notch experience. I’d recommend this place to anyone. Mom lived in El Paso so she’s picky about her Mexican food. Everything was flawless from the hostess to the server to the food. #totopo. #mexicanfoodpgh. I will absolutely be back.“

“5 stars all the way. I'm vegetarian and my server recommended the mushroom taco. OMG. It was crispy oyster mushrooms with the precise amount of heat. I also go the baha fish taco and subbed potato for the fish. The potato was so crispy I thought they messed up my order and gave me fish. It was awesome, I can't wait to enjoy it again! I can't remember my servers name, but she was great too!“

“Cute place, nice people, and fresh, well-prepared food! They prepared our tacos the way we wanted. The queso could have been a little more flavorful though. My only other suggestion would be to add some cute authentic Mexican art on the walls to add a little fun atmosphere and vibe as that's so important for a business as well? I look forward to trying the patio!“

“Smoked wings are amazing. Really like the rotisserie chicken too but usually get the smoked wings. Nice variety of food choices and service has always been good. So glad I decided to stop over one day while my car was getting inspected across the street or I would’ve probably never found this place.“

“One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever seen in my life. Great service and employees. I got to speak to the chef, he told me about the amazing broth that he makes. I really liked that the most, very flavorful. I had the steak tacos, and the meat was very good quality. Very tender. I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu.“

“So glad we finally stopped in! This place impressed us. We shared the spicy mango salsa, house salsa, Steak Baja burrito (amazing chipotle sauce!) and chicken quesadilla. Everything was tasty, fresh, portions were great, and service was incredibly fast. Excited to frequent!Dietary restrictions: Menu clearly states vegan/vegetarian options and they seem to take gluten sensitivity seriously.“

“I ordered THC from Uber Eats for dinner tonight and it was excellent. The bowl was BIG and made with fresh ingredient; I particularly loved the flavor of the chicken. Definitely recommend the queso and guac too! Like the other reviews say, skip Chipotle and order from The Hungry Cowgirl!“

“This Texan transplant never expected to see so many Hispanic staff. We did carry out as we were going through the city but we're pleasantly surprised by the sheet number of Hispanic locals also coming here. After 12 years in Texas and countless vacations in Mexico, this place is pretty legit. The spicy salsa has some pretty good heat so be prepared. Regular mild salsa was mild. For those with food allergies, they accommodated my daughter who is milk/dairy, egg, gluten, nuts/tree nut allergic. Not many can do that on the fly when they don't claim to be, but they did a slamming job (she's didn't get itchy at all).A welcome surprise on this 10 hour road trip! Would definitely recommend this place.“

“I generally order Pabellon through a delivery service but visited for the first time today for dine in and it was excellent. We were treated to samples of sugar cane juice, the kindest, most welcoming service, and as always, delicious food. I already can’t wait to go back :)“
“Always super clean and super fresh! I shop there at least once a week, often twice, now a lot of my dishes and sauces are inspired by healthy Mexican cuisine. People usually buy in bulk at the meat counter but when I asked for just a half pound of chorizo to season my sweet potatoes and greens the gentleman was just as nice as could be about it! In my kitchen I blend cultures, a lot of beautiful things happen. Thanks Las Palmas!“

“Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“

“Can't wait to go back - and it will be soon! The tacos were wonderful with tender meats; asada, birria, lingua, and el pastor. Sides of cilantro, onion, salsas, and lime were served. The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. Don't miss out on this gem.“

“The food at this place as absolutely great. We always compare food with the best Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to (in Arizona) and this is the closest competitor we’ve had so far. The guacamole was great, so were the deserts. The one complaint we had was the music is so loud it’s hard to talk with people at your own table. We wish the music was a little quieter. Other than that, it was great!Parking: We had to park at the bank. It’s pretty difficult to find parking unfortunately.“

“We order chorizo tacos and burritos from California Tacos. The food is consistently good and full of flavor. The chicken would be a better choice for those who are sensitive to heat. They provide fresh lime slices for the tacos, which is great! Pay cash and avoid the service fee. Love this establishment!“

“Our server Abrahan was so polite and friendly. The food was absolutely incredible. We had plantains which were perfect, chimichanga which was delicious and perfectly topped with sour cream and guacamole, and chicken tacos which were absolutely incredible tasting. you’d never expect a little hole in the wall off the side road to be so clean, and have a chill atmosphere. Most definitely will be back here again in the future!!“

“After moving from Austin, TX last year we were struggling to find good tacos. We all LOVED the food from Los Bajitos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You order at a counter. The hot salsa was awesome. We ordered chili con queso, steak tacos and grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla. All were fantastic. Also, the mango salsa was fresh and so flavorful. Highly recommend checking this place out!Muy delicioso!!!Kid-friendliness: My 10 and 11 year old loved what they ordered. Los Bajitos offers affordable kids meals at $6. However, my kids were hungry so one ordered the steak taco plate and ate everything. The other ordered grilled chicken quesadilla and ate half, we took the other half home.“

“El Rincón is my favorite place in Pittsburgh! I've been going to the food truck for a while now, and I'm so happy I could finally make it out to Carrick to try out the new restaurant. “We were there yesterday for Valentine’s Day dinner and the food was excellent. They have so many vegan / vegetarian options which was helpful.I loved everything I ordered but especially their vegan chorizo taco. Love the lime kick in it. It was truly love at first bite. The waitron was very sweet and checked on us only when needed unlike many places where they keep intruding. Loved the atmosphere too!Vegetarian options: They had so many vegetarian and vegan options compared to many other restaurants. They have at least 6-7 in their menu itself and a few others that can be made vegetarian / vegan“

“They were a lifesaver when we forgot to order food for a little party. We called and very quickly we had delicious food delivered. It was fresh and delicious. “If you are looking for authentic TexMex, Fajita Pete's is the best spot in Pittsburgh for it. Everything is made from scratch, including their tortillas. We lived in Austin, TX and this was our first TexMex experience that reminded us of the food down there. Highly recommend!“

“Quirky location, but that only makes it better. Definitely worth the visit. Afteryour first, round two will definitely be on your mind. Also, where else can you get tacos, a sixer, scratchers, and a redballs all in the same spot? Do it! Do it! Do it! ?“

“Ordered a Bellevue bowl and a mojitoThe Bellevue bowl was fantastic, and the turnaround time from ordering was only around 5 minutes which was awesome, and I'll definitely be returning either to dine in with friends or pickup a Bellevue bowl for takeout. The mojito on the other hand was pretty weak, in more ways than one. It came out with no mint in it and no minty flavor, and when I asked for some extra mint the waitress (who was excellent) let me know that they used a mojito mix. She did offer to bring me out some extra mix which was kind of her. The drink itself was fairly weak too, and it was served in a pretty skinny highball packed with ice so the drink was gone in 4-5 sips. They really only need fresh mint to make their own mojitos considering they should have rum, simple syrup, and club soda stocked already so it did feel like a cop-out for a $7 cocktail at a Mexican restaurant. At least they have the margaritas down! Just steer clear of the mojito“

“Don't know why this place doesn't have way more reviews and hasn't blown up yet, but it deserves so much more hype!! Las Palmas has the most authentic tacos I've had anywhere in Pittsburgh. It's essentially a taco stand outside of a Mexican grocery store -- you can't get any more authentic than that! You pay upfront by letting the cashier know how many tacos you want to get (3 was a good amount for a filling meal) and then you go up to the guy cooking and specify which meats you want in your tacos. You can see them literally cooking the meat right in front of you and it smells sooo good. I tried 3 different ones because I couldn't decide. There's a self serve toppings bar w all the classic options (salsas, guac, onions, etc) for you to load up your tacos after you get them freshly handed to you. The tacos were fire. There isn't any seating nearby which is probably my only complaint so we just ate them on some random steps nearby, but it's such a good vibe especially in the summer. If you're looking for tasty, cheap, and authentic tacos in Pittsburgh, this is your place!“

“Chose tacos and was able to try three proteins without it costing extra. Loved the variety of toppings. The roasted vegetables and mango salsa were delightful. The pickled onions are also very tasty, but adding them will potentially overwhelm everything else on the taco.“

“Too good couldn't take a picture until I was done! Got the chicken quesadilla and it was moist and delicious! Only complaint is it didn't come with salsa on the side! After I ordered I noticed you could add some for 25cents but then the line was too long too get any! It was a huge amount and very filling!“

“It would not be fair to give this place a negative review because I am not a fan of Mexican food. I has a taco salad with chicken. It was good but not amazing. Their service is impeccable. They are very busy and with takeout as well. You can enjoy an alcoholic drink from their bar and watch whatever you like on the TV. My friends absolutely love the food! It's just not for me.“

“Brought my husband here for his birthday, fast efficient service, good food. He had the Texas baked potato fajita, I had the 2 amigo quesadillas. We also ordered the ceviche. He loved everything. “This place has very good Mexican food. We're from the Southwest where good Mexican food is easy to find. Finding good Mexican food here has been a challenge. I had the rellenos with chicken, my husband had alambres pollo and both of us were very impressed. The chicken had been marinated & cooked on cast iron before being put inside my relleno which was egg washed and fried! It had amazing layers of flavor. The pico was fresh and crispy. My husband fell in love with the cilantro margarita. We has sopapillas for dessert which were thick, deep fried sopapilla chips with whipped cream, raspberry & chocolate drizzle & a scoop of ice cream. The food had authentic Mexican flavor & the ambiance is warm and welcoming & the use of multiple materials and textures shows the owners pride in his restaurant. We had a table that overlooked Market Square so we people watched & enjoyed Pittsburgh's historic architecture. 10/10“

“We went here with our son and his wife, who live in the area. From the moment we walked in, my stomach was growling from the delicious scent of smoked meats! From the many delectable-sounding choices, I finally chose the pork taco and an apple chicken taco. Wow! The first bite had a kickback of spice that I wasn't expecting, but as I got used to it, I loved it! Oftentimes, spice overrides flavor, but this time, the pork was so tasty that everything blended well! Unfortunately, I didn't get to taste the chicken one I ordered because I was too full. I took it back and ended up forgetting it in my son's fridge. Oh well! My daughter-in-law had recommended it and will enjoy it. We'll just have to go back next time we visit.“

“Great food hall right in the lower north side. I went here on a Friday to meet someone, and it turned out it was 50% off all drinks at the bar (everyday from 4:30-6:30 I believe). I didn't have the opportunity to eat, but it appears there are 4 or 5 restaurants here currently. From what I saw there are a pizza shop, a taco place, wings, and I don't recall the others. Go and check the place out. Particularly nice I've the weather breaks. Follow for more...“

“Wow. This place is authentic and affordable. The food reminds me of my trip to Santa Fe. The portion sizes are ridiculously fair for what your paying as well. Unfortunately as far as the atmosphere goes it's kinda. Hole in the wall. But this overshadowed by the kind service and fair price on food and did I mention how fast the food was ready? 15 mins. To make me a enchilada and quesadilla“

“Was lucky enough to try this truck at the roundabout brewing pop-up. I ordered the chicken tinga quesadilla for $16 and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The quesadilla was massive. It was cut into 4 thick pieces, to fit into the to-go box. Under the quesadilla were fresh tortilla chips and hot sauce. I kept calling the sauce a "salsa" because it was thick and chunky. It was definitely hot! There was so much chicken and chorizo inside of the quesadilla, along with just the right amount of cheese. I really felt like I got my money's worth on this order. The staff were super friendly and my order was up in 10-15 minutes. They were busy though and I'm lucky I caught them early because they did sell out rather quickly, when the place got busy. My friends had the vegetarian soyrizo tacos and said they were flavorful and that the pineapple salsa was delicious. Will be buying from these guys again!“
