“the dining room was so quiet until we were leaving then nice music started playing. the food is good but was served so cold. i like my food nice and hot! i was able to pick the whole cup of soup up and drink it down bc it was so cold.. the crab cakes were good but cold.. the shrimp was like frozen before hand bc the texture seemed weird.. i was too hungry to care about the temperature. plus i want the bread n butter asap ppl come there hungry n bread n butter is key so bring it out immediately! texas roadhouse is killing the industry with them rolls n cinnabutter AS U SIT DOWN ITS GREAT!! b more like texas roadhouse! cant wait to eat my leftovers from piacquadios bc im gonna make sure the food is hot... also u can hear the whole entire kitchen workers conversations from the dining room! please have music going!“

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!“

“This location was recommended for a medical school reunion in Pittsburgh by our alumni association. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We did the family style dining for a large group, and it was very well received. One of my Italian classmates sate the the Cacio e Pepe was the best that he had tasted outside of Milan. I would strongly recommend this location for really first rate Italian food and a great atmosphere“

I have never eaten at bar seating before so I wasn’t sure if I would like it. Let me tell you, it was so enjoyable! The bar was completely full within 15 minutes and the bartender was awesome. “My son and I had dinner for Mother’s Day. Our first experience at this restaurant. Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.“

We were greeted with champagne for her birthday and multiple happy birthday wishes. The food was delicious and the menu made it very nice to share multiple dishes. Our most recent two visits with our 3 young grandchildren were effortless! We love the food and staff so much. I will mention Vince as he waited on us both times and is so attentive as ALL the staff we have had. We love the mother/daughter staff, but I regret that I don’t know their names. My personal favorite is the custom calzone. I asked for thin dough and both meat and marinara sauce on the side. I was delighted that it was all perfect and I took half home! The toppings are perfectly mixed and heated to melt together and the flat bread crust technique should be studied by children!!! “We have been going to Piccolo Forno for years. It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is outstanding. The food is creative and menu items are changed regularly to make use of seasonal ingredients. There are so many delicious choices on the menu that it is difficult to decide what to order. The food is reasonably priced and the corkage fee is less than most restaurants. This restaurant is a gem for anyone who loves delicious Italian food!“

From the vintage Pittsburgh classic ambiance to the consistently outgoing and professional staff to the remarkable chef's creations, there is every reason to treat yourself to delectable creations. The staff is so friendly and kind!! I also love that they have a few parking spots reserved for takeout costumers since that parking lot can get busy. Only downside is that they are closed on Sundays when we often want to order takeout“

“Our server was just bizarre. Running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She was forgetting things and screwing things up. She would basically run away while we were still talking to her. This was 7pm on a Saturday. After forgetting my soup, I was eventually brought an incredibly messy bowl, as if the soup was literally thrown into the bowl. She would say she was going to get us refills and then come back without refills. She did package our leftovers which was nice of her and offer us more bread.“

“Best pizza in Pittsburgh, in my humble opinion. The service is always fantastic, and the pizza is second to none. It's a little on the expensive side, but very well worth it. Worth a try if you're in the Oakland/North Oakland area and want a very competent, traditional pizza. The other dishes are less enjoyable, though.“
