“We just had our welcome party for my daughter’s wedding weekend. Meghan, Jordan and Ashley were very easy to reach. They responded quickly and were extremely helpful as well as accommodating. The evening of the event went without any issues.The only change is I would have brought some zip locks for the kids to be able to take the extra cookies and brownies home as a sweet treat that was delicious. “Jake's Bar is an institution and deserves 100 stars. Is there food? Barely. Do they have a wide assortmet of drinks to choose from? No. Are the bathrooms modern? lol.
Does it need any of these things? No. Jake's excels at what it is- a dive bar in a college town. Dwayne and Orazio are legends, and the absolute best. I had my first legal drink at Jake's in 2002, and 24 years later still try to stop by a few times a year. <3“

Honestly, we liked the many dishes that included mushrooms. We are big fans and when in mushroom country like this, you have to take advantage.

The craft beer selection is good, cocktail list looked very tempting and there is a decent wine selection. We enjoyed Tired Hands Crushable Church. A good hazy with under 5% ABV.

We started with the mushroom arancini, which were delicious. Came as a set of 3 small arancini, perfect for two people.

I enjoyed the mushroom pizza which is a flavorful combination of fontina cheese, mixed sautéed mushroom blend and sautéed sliced mushrooms. Crust was crispy and crunchy. Good combination. My wife enjoyed the mushroom Po Boy sandwich, also a good choice.

They do pass the 3% credit card fee onto the customer just so you are aware.

Overall it was a good choice and a delicious meal. When we return to the area, we will definitely make sure we eat here again.“

“I was invited by a friend on a Tuesday evening, and there was a birthday party going on, so there wasn't any food being sold, don't really know if they still did? The birthday patry people provided the food and allowed everyone to have some, which was so nice. There was a DJ named DJ Cuzzin Pete who was jammin! It's hard to get guys to dance with you in Delaware. I don't know why? Pretty small place. There is a pool table and a nice sized dance floor. The mixed drinks were good.“

“Love the vibe here, great local spot in a rustic 1700’s era building. Very good service from the staff. Phenomenal selection of beers on tap which was the main reason I found this place. It gets loud inside with the live music, though not overwhelming. I have to dink them on the menu though, not sure why they serve the pastrami sandwich chilled, just doesn’t seem right, and was a pretty low grade of pastrami. The fries were way oversalted. I’ll back, but will probably stick with drinks at the bar“
