“It's been about two years that we've been purchasing meats (and much more) from the Meat House. I have never thought to express my praise through a much deserved review. The 4.7 average seems a little low to me (LOL). Our own personal experiences have been 5-star each and every time...even when I call on the phone. Their customer service is consistently exemplary, up to, and including, the owner when he's there. He can relay his experience with A5 wagyu, in Japan no less, to you. I've never been told no to any request. They are one of the true old school butcher shops of yesteryear, prioritizing customers' wants and needs. A varied, wide selection of quality meats and gourmet, yes, gourmet products. Tons of gourmet sauces and dressings, tons of rubs and spices for BBQing and other forms of cooking, wood pellets for grilling, exquisite in-house deli turkey, A5 Japanese wagyu steaks, bison, venison, wild boar, gator sausages, duck, ostrich, rabbit...need I say more? A couple of the standouts to me thus far have been their pre-rubbed St. Louis ribs and twice baked potatoes. But the pièce de résistance has been the marinated Brazilian steak tips!! My goodness! Those jawns was crazy (in my north Philly dialect and verbiage)!!! See, we love and appreciate quality food and customer service, since I work in food service, and am a cashier at my evening job. This place will have you excited and returning time and time again. Trust me/us.“
“We just used Southbound for my sisters "baby que" baby shower. They were so easy to work with from picking the menus to coordinating arrival times. The food was incredible! And the best part was there was little to no cleanup after they left! Will definitely be having them at our next party“
“John Serock and his team catered our wedding reception at Loch Aerie Mansion. Wedding food can be hit or miss ... but our food was the best I've ever had at a wedding. Truly. They were SO great to work with and tailored entrees to accommodate food allergies and preferences. We chose the braised beef short ribs, eggplant parm, crab cakes, and cranberry and apple stuffed chicken (which I still think about almost a month later). We had a couple of last minute no-shows, and we even got to take home their entrees. Everything was truly DELICIOUS! John Serock Catering knows what they're doing.“
“I ordered food from Food For Thought for my annual Christmas Eve dinner. I ordered turkey, mashed potatoes, string beans, and rice. Everything was delicious. I must say the mashed potatoes were my fave. Soooo good!! Beautiful presentation. Well seasoned. Great portions. Reasonably priced. I was 100% satisfied and all of my holiday guests were too. Everyone commented on how tasty everything was. I would definitely recommend Food For Thought. Everyone I interacted with was very courteous and professional. “We used Sherm's for a work event, and the food was amazing. I have been searching for years for the perfect potato salad and there it was with my turkey sandwich. The delivery driver was early and set up before the time I needed him. He was very friendly. I saved some water for my son, and he said it was the best. I had to save some for school. I recommend Renee and her staff 200%. We will use them again.“

“Had a wonderful dinner there the other night while I was in town visiting family and friends. A nice table for two with plenty of light. The meatball appetizer was yummy, but be ready to share! I ordered the risotto special, which came with shrimp and a lobster tail, and it was delish. Wish I had saved enough room for tiramisu! Out waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!“

“I have enjoyed many products from Taste of Puebla over the years as they come to my local farmers market. Recently I tried 2 new products - the jalapeño poppers and the queso. Both are quite tasty. The poppers fried up well and are full of flavor. The queso is creamy and not too salty. it's great as a dip or on nachos. I highly recommend both!“
“Top quality meats. The very best steaks around. Pricey but worth it. Love their speciality burgers, including cheddar, mushroom, etc. Good premade sides like their stuffed baked potato can feed two people. They also carry true fryer chickens rather than those gigantic chicken pieces. Marinated London broil and Greek marinated chicken are just a few of their meal options.“
“I attended an event here. I found the place very updated, definitely had a nice bar and the food at the event was above average. Parking was confusing but ample. As you know if you have read other reviews I have given, I only give 5 stars for exceptional service and food.“
“First time here. I brought my husband here for his birthday. It definitely did not disappoint. Beautiful decor. Wait staff Kelly and Wade were amazing. Very helpful and patient. Started off with appetizers. We had the Alligator meatballs and shrimp lejon. Main course we both had filet mignon with twice baked potatoes and brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended our delicious meal with dessert. We chose the bread pudding and peanut butter and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Will definitely return. Thank you for an Amazing. Spectacular. “This place was great. The cookie dough flavors are unique enough to keep coming in, but they definitely still have classics. They also let you try the flavors. The texture is like mousse. You can get ice cream and cookies too. The cookie dough is also good for 2 weeks in the fridge, so get a bigger size!!“

“We hosted our daughters wedding at the Carriage House on August 11th 2023. Venue could not have been better. Mike, the owner, was outstanding in accommodating our group of 180 people and went beyond the call of duty at the end of the evening when we were locked out of the truck we were planning to store the wedding gear in. Food was amazing, which is not surprising given the Brandywine Prime connection, and the staff were extremely professional and friendly. We would highly recommend the Carriage House as a wedding venue set in the grounds of Rockwood Park, the aesthetics match the service.“
“This company exceeded our expectations! We had to change venue, dates (twice) and our entire set up. Ted and his crew were AMAZING. They offered a full refund of our deposit given the circumstances with Covid which just made me want to use their services more. We ended up having him set up a mini food bar with desserts and shrimp/veggie shooters which were Covid friendly and delicious. They’re attention to detail, ability to adjust plans, and just overall kindness were refreshing. If I need anything catered in the future, I will be using them again.“
