“Today, had lunch at The First Post in York, PA. The place is nice and spacious, located on East Market Street. Our party of four shared a ravioli appetizer and had French Onion soup. Both were delicious!!! Easily the best French Onion soup I've eaten!!! For lunch, we each had something different. My Aunt had Salmon Salad. My wife had The Post Steak Sandwich with fries. Our son had the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo. I settled for.the Fish & Chips!! Each of us loved our meals - taking at least half home!! The portions were enormous!!! To wrap up, we decided on some dessert. My Aunt and wife had the Creme Brulee. My son and I had the Chocolate Reese Cake Tort. So good!!!! Service was phenomenal!! If in the York, PA area, you MUST stop in and eat up!!!“

“Went on a busy Friday night but hostess was able to accommodate myself and two daughters. I was in a rush and was pleasantly surprised by the speed of service by the wait staff and kitchen. Everyone was pleasant, food was excellent (kids had burgers and fries and I had the chicken sandwich). Had a long drive home and we arrived at 7:15 and left by 7:50 with full bellies, fun atmosphere, great staff… which was ideal! Highly recommended!“

“One of York’s hidden gems! We have eaten here several times and have never had a bad meal. In my opinion, consistency is what will bring you back to a restaurant time and time again. The Roosevelt Tavern is definitely one of those places. Atmosphere is very nice, quiet with great music in the background where you can actually have a conversation while enjoying your meal. “About a year ago, I went to John Wright Restaurant for Sunday brunch with a group of friends. I didn’t know what to expect, but the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautiful waterfront scenery and the stunning, rustic building. Inside, that old-world charm blends perfectly with an upscale dining vibe, giving the place a truly special and unique energy. The brunch was absolutely delicious—so many options, including my personal favorite, eggs Benedict. Fast forward to last night: I stopped in for happy hour with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar. It was surprisingly comfortable and not overcrowded at all. The two bartenders were fantastic—warm, funny, and attentive. And the cocktails… OH MY GOSH. Just try them. You’ll thank me later! We ordered the calamari and crab risotto small plates, and they were so good that we immediately ordered a second round of the exact same thing. From a relaxed Sunday brunch, to after-work apps and cocktails, to a special dinner out—John Wright Restaurant gets a solid 10/10 from me. 🍽️“

“I cannot even begin to express how grateful we are for the kindness and exceptional service provided by Jim & Nena's. After a failed delivery with GrubHub it was much needed!! They were patient with GrubHub and my husband as all 3 worked together in rectifying the situation (which was no fault of the restaurant). They not only offered to deliver our order themselves (so we could stop dealing with GrubHub), but also gave us an additional pizza!! Ps. The bacon cheese fries were LOADED in cheese & bacon & they were absolutely delicious. We will certainly be stopping here more often (rather than ordering through GrubHub).“

“We went on 2/8/25. Staying at the Hampton inn for a dance comp. Our waiter, unfortunately l, didn’t catch his name was absolutely AMAZING! More people kept getting added to our party, he, without hesitation, added more tables and chairs. He took our orders and separated the checks without us even asking. Not pushy but timed, she managed the timing for the whole meal. Was so pleasant, never missed a beat. Glasses were always full and Trista even remembered my daughter’s Birthday Treat. We had a mixture of food stuffs, like having the shrimp appetizer for my entree, Burgers, Rivs and of course, steak! “I love Kelly Inn From the Owners to the staff. They remember what your food order are as well as your drink and treat you like family. I always dine alone and they made sure I was comfortable and checked on me, now mind you I normally get the jumbo crabs and thier Neptune pasta platter which is filled with huge shrimps and real scallops so I have plenty to eat, even with that they stop and check on me. I have to travel 30 minutes to get there but it so worth it and if you haven't had their Cosmo its so delicious thank you from the bottom of my heart I truly enjoy my visits with you“
