“Old fashioned ice cream place where you can get hard scooped or soft serve ice cream and Sundae’s.
Got 3 medium size cups of hard ice cream for $15.
Visited just before 3pm on a Wednesday and the parking lot was nearly full.
Very short wait to get served.
This is walk up counter service.
They have 3 picnic tables if you choose to not sit inside your car and eat.
I had coconut and my family members had butter pecan and mint chocolate chip, all were pleased with the flavor.
It’s easy off the highway to this location and well worth the stop.“

“I'm from NJ, we have amazing little ice cream shops all over!! I'm not talking about dairy queen or cold stone (not that there is anything wrong with those places.) I haven't found a place like what I'm used to since I moved here. I happened to be in the Duncannon area a while ago and we were coming up on that location so I asked my wife to stop..It was AMAZING!! Since then I have been to this location a couple times and the funfetti dough is soo good!! The kids are nice, and very quick..they definitely work as a team which is nice to see these days.“

“You will not be disappointed!! The prices are crazy good and there banana split is my personal favorite. You cannot really find anywhere anymore that offers pineapple and strawberries in your banana split so that sold me. Also there homemade waffle cones are super good! I highly recommend anyone to go try if you haven't been there before.“

“Whistle Stop on Wheels provided ice-cream at The Journey's Back to School Block party that catered to 750-1,000 people! They were a hit! I highly recommend them for any event small or large. Great selection of ice cream, great prices, and a great business owners/staff. Highly recommend!“

“Ice cream shop situated right at the Downtown end of the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. Has outdoor seating. Very tasty. Order either vanilla or chocolate ice cream then add a mix-in (long list of mix-in options) to create a flavor of ice cream. Reasonably priced.“

“We were excited to visit this highly rated Coffee Shop for the first time. When we arrived from out of town we were unable to find accessible parking. There were steps up to the entrance which also made it complicated for our 2 wheelchair guests. The place looks so unique & cool, so I’ll definitely return to scope it out on my own to see if I can come back with my physically disabled guests.“

“These guys snagged me as a customer when I was 38 weeks pregnant and I haven't been able to stop going back since. Be aware, if you sign up for the texts, they have exclusive pre order flavors every few weeks and they get me every time. They also do a monthly flavor line up so there's always something new to try !“

“This is better than any creamery out there. Chain speed and predictably with an unmatched flavor and quality of ingredients that feels like a small business. The young people working are always so friendly. Arrive early as there's usually a huge line, even in January.“

“I am happy this Dairy Queen is open during the winter months. I hope they will continue to do so. The ice cream is superb and the atmosphere is family friendly. I am an out-of-towner and wish the Dairy Queen outlets in my area were like this one. GREAT PLACE TO VISIT!“

“Stopped on a whim. And I have to say..it was THE BEST DECISION EVER!
Hand dipped flavors are smooth and creamy, and each bite was a burst of flavor as the first one! Staff is super friendly and helpful, and I highly recommend getting a sandwich or meal too! You won’t be disappointed! And yes they accept cards and cash!“
