“First off, if you’re on a budget and looking to escape the heat wave, listen up. They’re the only place in the area with snowballs (shaved ice in a styrofoam dish). And they start at like $2.75. The kids size is like a small. The small is like a medium, and so on. They have a 50 cent Elvis Presley theme pinball machine. For a quarter, a child under 100 pounds can ride Sandy the horse (an antique ride). They have Hello Kitty coloring pages and crayons. The service there is excellent. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience, and I wish more people knew about this place. It’s right next to the West Shore Theatre on Bridge Street. If you’re looking for a cost-effective and family-friendly place to hang out, their air conditioning is fantastic too.“

But they sell pretzels with a dipping sauce that are awesome

“I'm from NJ, we have amazing little ice cream shops all over!! I'm not talking about dairy queen or cold stone (not that there is anything wrong with those places.) I haven't found a place like what I'm used to since I moved here. I happened to be in the Duncannon area a while ago and we were coming up on that location so I asked my wife to stop..It was AMAZING!! Since then I have been to this location a couple times and the funfetti dough is soo good!! The kids are nice, and very quick..they definitely work as a team which is nice to see these days.“

Parking: There are about 5 parking spots in front of the shop, however in the summertime they are always full. In the Lemoyne location, there is a Dollar General next door that allow customers to park and walk a few feet to the shop.

There were steps up to the entrance which also made it complicated for our 2 wheelchair guests. “Visited Cold Stone Creamery in Mechanicsburg recently and had a really good experience. The ice cream was fresh, creamy, and the mix-ins were blended perfectly. Staff was friendly and patient while taking the order, and the place had a nice atmosphere. Loved the variety of flavors and toppings available.
