“What is the difference between tavern and bar? They both serve alcohol, but a tavern is more sophisticated with an “emphasis on the food.”
Town Tavern is a simple by nature, with a long bar and a rear seating area with tables and hi-tops. They keep the menu fairly simple by pub grub standards, with pizza, sandwiches and their next-level wings. As the definition says, an emphasis on food, in this case “the wings.”
Life is short. Tomorrow is never promised, so Eat the Wings! Enjoy yourself. If you consider them a guilty pleasure, you don’t deserve them. I would say “live deliberately” and try the Cajun or Sweet Thai Chili - my favorite two sauces. The wings come in orders of 10, but based on the size and quality of the wing, 10 is plenty. Would love to see a “fleet” of wings similar to beer tasting. Hard to choose from the 34 sauce flavors and six dry rubs.
The cost of the wings are listed on the menu as “market price.” Just like eating a lobster! Regardless of the current price, they are worth every penny.
I have seen a few reviews saying it takes too long. Please, if you want fast food, go to a place that serves it. If you want high quality - crispy wing on the outside and juicy on the inside, tossed in one of their beautiful signature sauces, wait for that level of preparation. Highly recommend a visit to the Town Tavern. An order of ten of their wings and a cold on-tap beer is truly one of life’s simple pleasure. Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.“

The staff were all so pleasant even though they were running around like crazy. “The Cafe is a comfortable spot for lunch or dinner. The food choices are posted on the wall for customer consideration and ordering at the counter. The food is mysteriously delivered by a member of the staff. I chose a chicken Caesar wrap. It was full of chicken but was a bit dry on this occasion, more lettuce and dressing was needed. It was served with potato chips (meh) and a pickle chip. My friend ordered a club sandwich with special modifications. It also was served with potato chips. We each enjoyed soft drinks -- lemonade and Sprite. A full bar is available which includes specialty coffees. I recommend this long-standing restaurant.“

“We used Grico’s to cater our wedding and they were fantastic to work with. The catering manager, Marissa, was so easy to communicate with and promptly answered any questions that came up. They had a great selection of meal options and we chose the chicken francaise, blackened salmon with raspberry sauce, and filet mignon. All food choices were INCREDIBLE and all our guests were raving how great the food was. The service was top notch and the bartenders kept our drinks full all night. 10/10 service. We recommend Grico’s to anyone looking for an affordable wedding caterer!“

“There's something about that tray of traditional red that keeps us coming back for more. Add some often-rotating and very creative wing sauce varieties and it's sure to be a crowd pleaser. I know they're a local favorite, I know they have their devoted followers, but I really do feel like it's one of the more unique pizza offerings in our area. We got takeout and it was ready right on time. I hesitate to say it, but I mean it in the most delicious, addictive way; it's like a thinner, tastier, less stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth-ish Nardone’s style (in shape and feel), with a more complex cheese build. It's a hybrid tray/bar pie vibe, and you'll wonder how many cuts you can take before others do the math. My son ordered the cheesesteak; I had a hard time verbalizing ‘just steak and cheese’ but check that picture out, I think he's onto something. The wing sauces don't feel weighed down by butter or additives; they're bright, flavorful and unique blends that you can experiment with, since you can get orders as small as six bone-in wings. One of the sauces we tried was Szechuan orange, almost reminiscent of Asian duck; sweet and tangy with a little peppery zing, the boneless bites come SAUCED. I still prefer the regular wings. And it would be criminal not to mention Grandma Kelsey's Pizza, which might not adhere strictly to the Grandma lineage (whatever that is) but is certainly in my top 3 grandma pies locally; really incredible!“

“Rich's Restaurant is an absolute gem. The waitstaff here are incredibly attentive and helpful. You will rarely see your coffee cup drop more than a quarter of the way down before a smiling server is there with a refill. Even if you're a heavy coffee guzzler, they'll practically be standing by, pot in hand, waiting for eye contact the second the mug leaves your face. They are that good! They make a genuine effort to get to know you and make you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. If you’re looking for that warm, small-town feel—and that extra welcoming touch you can't quite put into words—Rich’s is the place.

The food completely speaks for itself. I haven't had a bad meal here yet. They offer a ton of great specials on the weekends, and you absolutely must try their gumbo. It’s a legendary staple within those four walls.

As for the prices, they are exactly what you'd expect nowadays. They aren't overly expensive, but they aren't cheap either—they sit right in that perfect sweet spot that allows a family to enjoy a Saturday morning breakfast ritual without breaking the bank.

I was a little confused as why they would serve with mashed potato's but I went with the flow. Honestly they were the worst crabcakes ever. No taste. All breading!. The iced coffee was lightly iced and I didn’t even have to specify (that’s my Dunkin’ hack, less ice since they love that bartender trick). It wasn’t too sweet and the unique house flavors pose some tough counter decisions; the praline was nutty and caramelly, with just the right amount of cinnamon. There’s table service when possible, but it can get busy so keeping your head up helps everyone. Jess and Kiersten keep a cozy and easy-to-do-work vibe inside, as the cafe doubled as my office last week. The sensibly relevant wifi password, easily explained, is also a huge flex these days. Whether you wanna settle in, or just stop by for a quick bite, this spot is versatile, open till 2 and offers one of the best breakfast sandwiches around. Well done!“

“We follow some NEPA eatery pages and hot wing groups to find good places for my husband and I to get wings! We had Haggerty's wings for the first time yesterday and they were hands down the best wings I've ever had. They were perfectly cooked crispy wings and delicious sauce, perfect blue cheese and crunchy (not wilted) celery! They won us over and we will definitely be back for some hot wings! (Also their other apps were excellent!) They staff was pleasant the atmosphere is so inviting! Can't wait to come again for a beer and wings!“
