“Wifey got the apple cider french toast and I got the caribbean benedict. We shared the chips and salsa. We were both amazed at how incredible our food was. The staff is super friendly. Can't wait to go back!“

“Love the vibes and the people. Chef sounds like a great person, is passionate, and is interactive. Love the concept of focusing and showcasing local ingredients. So 5/5 for vibes and concept. 3/5 (maybe lower actually) for the food. From a technical perspective, everything was cooked properly, just not super exciting. It was like nice homestyle cooking. Felt like stuff my mom used to make growing up or like a menu that you would have if you got together with friends for a potluck or Friendsgiving. The wine list by the glass was not great. My 50/50 martini was solid.

3 drinks between 2 people along with the tasting menu and 1 $27 add on of rabbit pasta and with tip was around $350 for 2 people. You just expect a little more at that price point. Still a good time and nice to check it out once.“

“My wife and I have been going here for 8 years, each time we’ve gone it’s been a wonderful experience. The food is terrific, the menu changes all the time with unique ingredients that makes each visit a new visit a new experience. The staff is wonderful, always going above and beyond to help you understand the menu and feel welcome. One of the best bargains in the city for quality/quantity of the food you get, I’ve never been disappointed and I don’t think you will be either.“

“Booked thru openTable and asked for a quiet area for friends to catch up and celebrate a birthday! Perfect spot when we arrived with a "Happy Birthday" sign on the table!! We were brought shrimp dish for complimentary starters but when the birthday girl said she was allergic to seafood, another starter was created for her! Our food was awesome! Lisa, our server, was extremely attentive and kind! When we left the birthday girl was even given a birthday card with offer for free starter when she returns! Everything about this meal was special and lovely! We can't wait to go back!!“

“My experience at Front Street was wonderful. My mom was dining with me, and she has celiac disease and is also a vegan. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, a wide array of choices for her and our server, David was wonderful. We were traveling into Philly from New York and it was a wonderful time and experience. We would definitely visit again when we are in town. Highly recommend this spot for anyone with gluten allergies. They were wonderful to my mom.“

“Went with a friend for a last-minute reservation after another restaurant didn't work out. They got us in despite being quite busy, and the service couldn't have been better. Food was amazing - fresh and sizable enough portions to be filling even for traditional seafood. The heirloom tomato salad was amazing and the small plate sampler was perfect sizing with shrimp, scallops, crab legs and oysters.. Will def go back, and glad to have found such a great new spot!“

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. Adam & Jenny, thank you for my birthday dinner one to remember!💖“

“This charming hidden gem of a restaurant near the Italian market in South Philly is the perfect date night spot. Very intimate, yet relaxed. There's great variety on the menu for all types of appetites and diners, and they have an impressive robust efficiency in the kitchen that serves up dishes at a great pace and quality. Recently went and tried their tasting menu and my entire service was completed in 90 minutes from the moment I walked in to the close of the bill. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“The quiche was a little undercooked but had a good taste. The soup I ordered needed salt and we had to ask for that since it wasn't on the table. The service was good. It was our first time there and would go again and try something different in the menu.“

“Customer service was exceptional. Seating area was a bit small but everyone was so friendly and worked as a team. Honestly the best service I ever had. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“Yards represents a great story of a local business that does well enough to expand and grow. The location offers a great variety of food as well as the iconic brews they're known for, in an open, though sometimes loud, environment. Parking options aren't great if you're not walking or Ubering, but it's the city so that's to be expected. That said, I was so happy when they took over this former commercial space and transformed it a few years ago and demonstrates how successful their brand has become and not just in the Philadelphia area!“

“Went for dinner on a Saturday night and had reservations for 7:30 PM. Would definitely recommend reservation because it was crowded. Got seated upstairs, but would’ve rather been seated downstairs. But I must say the booth that we were in was probably the most comfortable restaurant booth I’ve ever sat in. Started off with an appetizer that was recommended by our waitress and it was the chicken lettuce wraps (pictured) . They were excellent, and I would definitely recommend also the couple that we were with had the dumplings which they were kind enough to share, which were also excellent. For dinner, I ordered another item that the waitress recommended, The Shaking beef. Was very good. I would recommend with a side of rice. I would have given the food 5 stars but needed to add additional food to the plate. If you go as a couple try to be seated in the hanging chairs. No parking so Uber.“

“My husband and I just tried The Iron Oven for the first time. It will definitely not be our last. We went for brunch and enjoyed everything we ordered down to my Drinks. Very reasonable prices and good size portions. The staff is very friendly and sweet. Our waitress Gianna was wonderful and she alone would have had us returning. Even the gentleman who brought out our food was super friendly. Highly recommend their brunch and cannot wait to go back for dinner soon. Great food, good prices, great staff and good vibe.“

“We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“
