“Such a cute spot with amazing coffee! I have grabbed to go coffee from here quite a few times and it doesn’t disappoint. Anything from drip to a cappuccino has been amazing. It is a little bit on the pricier side but the tip is included and the staff is always nice (I don’t mind paying extra for quality coffee)!
The space is quite small (2-3 tables) so I would recommend taking to go unless you’re lucky enough to snag a table (it is full particularly in the mornings). I can tell there are dedicated regulars who go here and I can see why!“

“It’s places like this that make me love Philly! This quaint, locally-owned coffee shop is hands down one of the best I’ve been to.
I tried their seasonal German Toffee Latte, and it did not disappoint! The chocolate-chip cookie, topped with sea salt, and the chocolate croissant were both incredible—perfectly balanced sweetness.
I’ll definitely be back and highly, highly recommend!“

“What a charming little cafe with such wonderful staff! I had the pleasure of chatting with one of the owners, who was just delightful and really took an interest in her customers. It truly adds a special touch! ✨
I popped in to grab some brunch for my mom and me since we’re staying at an Airbnb and wanted something a bit more satisfying than what we've been eating.
Cafe Tolia was just what we needed! I went for a breakfast sandwich with egg and roasted peppers, while my mom enjoyed the Maple Honey Sandwhich and couldn’t stop raving about it—she actually asked me why I didn’t grab another one for later! The coffee was hot and delicious, complete with fresh cream. And oh my goodness, the BOMBOLINI was absolutely amazing! I savored every single bite and definitely need to get another one before I leave town. The Chocolate Croissant was equally scrumptious!
Such nice people, a lovely atmosphere, and tasty food—what more could you ask for? 💖“

“Yet another hidden gem in Philly. I came in for the first time today by chance and immediately felt so so so welcomed into the space. It is much smaller of a space than Madis Coffee Roasters (Twisted Grounds has only a few small tables to sit), but the staff is equally as kind, friendly, talkative, and enjoyable to be around. You can quickly tell that the team here has a great rapport with each other, and it makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun to be in. They have super cute merch and engaging conversations. I'm excited for this to be one of my regular haunts in Philly. The manager runs this place like a well-oiled machine.“

“Really good coffee and food! We got the coconut vanilla shaken espresso and the pistachio latte, and the flavor really came through! We also got the burratina focaccia panini and the biscoft mousse. Everything was fresh and super tasty. Definitely worth it and we will be back!!“

“This is maybe one of my favorite coffee shops anywhere. First of all, the space is just too awesome, exactly what I think of when I think of a coffee shop. Love the open windows, small and simple menu, and the total vibe. Wish I had this close by but live to visit when in Philly! If you’re looking for great coffee in an awesome space, stop here!“

“Lovely lovely neighborhood cafe with yummy options otherwise scarce nearby. Favorites so far have been the pandan waffle, taro boba, the banh mi combo, but this place is always on my mind to try much more of the menu! The boba drink sizes are also much more generous for the price compared to others.“

“Jiggy coffee was a great spot to hang out and enjoy a matcha latte! The matcha was thoroughly whisked and did not have any chunks sinking to the bottom - which often occurs when rushed. I’m so happy I was finally able to give this spot a try!“

“The place is super cozy. The dessert options are just right and the gluten-free options are so delish. The cortado was yum with latte-art; super special. I was passing by Media and craved something sweet so I found this place by chance. The owner is fabulous, she’s friendly and super nice to chat with. I wish her lots of successful years here. I wish i had this place closer to me.“

“I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

“I ordered some treats for my mom it was a miscommunication with delivery service so she didn’t receive it, but holy cannoli contacted me and cleared everything up and offered to send my mom treats on them which I thought was really thoughtful. Great customer service thank you so much. I appreciate your attention and kindness! Thank you, Khristine“

“This is hands down the best coffee shop in NoLibs. We discovered it over a year ago and have been going at least once a week ever since. I rarely get matcha out because so few places actually use good quality matcha and make it properly, but CNT does all of the above. They have monthly rotating flavor specials for coffee and matcha that are always incredible and made from scratch. The shop is also super dog friendly and our pup literally drags us down the street to go there anytime we are nearby.“

“This place is so cool! I don’t drink but I think it’s really unique to blend a coffee shop with a whiskey bar. For those like me, they have a ton of coffee options and non alcoholic options that feel unique and special. Great cozy vibes inside too.“

“Cute place, amazing atmosphere, wonderful soundtrack, unfortunately is super small (if you are in a group probably this is not your place to eat). We sat outside in a morning of summer, but it was super good and windy. They have a large options to eat and each picture makes our choices more difficult.
The food was great (panini caprese and prosciutto croissants).
I just don’t give 5 stars because the customer service was ok. They could be kinder to customers“

“Absolutely recommended! I’m a London tourist visiting Philadelphia, and I was immediately drawn to this little coffee shop. The staff were super friendly, and the coffee was delicious! A special thank you to one of the customers (with a lovely dog) who kindly offered to pay for my coffee when I only had a card and no cash. That gesture really warmed my heart—thank you! ☺️☺️“

“Had the Spring Fling coffee today, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Never have I had coffee like this. It was robust but mild, with hints of lavender, thyme and pink peppercorns. Absolutely a must have for those that go regularly. I live in NJ so sadly I won’t be here often and I’m sad about that.“

“Bower Cafe is an absolute gem in Philly! I stopped by during the holidays and enjoyed their Cinnamon Hot Latte Christmas special—it was perfectly spiced, creamy, and gave me all the cozy holiday vibes. I paired it with a chocolate croissant that was flaky, buttery, and downright delicious.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. They really go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
What truly sets Bower Cafe apart is their private room. Whether you’re hosting a podcast, spinning tracks as a DJ, or holding a meeting, the space is beautifully designed and well-equipped for any creative or professional need.
Highly recommend for the excellent coffee, delicious treats, and warm, inviting atmosphere! This is easily my go-to spot in Philly!“

“The owner's energy was immaculant from the start. The Ethiopian brother showed nothing but love, especially for my Sierra Leone friend from D.C. who was leaving Philly to go back home. He made it his duty to show us nothing but great hospitality and of course the food smacked! Portions was everything for me!“

“This Dunkin location in Folcroft has very professional staff members that have great customer service skills. But when it comes towards the food, I believe this certain Dunkin location has lower standards of quality in the food they serve compared to any other Dunkin in the area. The quality of food could be better. I'm unsure what's different at this store“
