“Great food and wait staff!“

“Everything was quality, place was clean and staff were super attentive and nice. I have to be careful with my gluten allergy but cross contamination was not much of a risk. Everything in its own hotel pans and covered, dedicated utensils for each dish. Very much worth the money to bring kids for I think $5 each.

Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! Sadly my party and I were just going to head back to Indiana, hungry when they called us back in and said”We’re going to make room for you all up top.” They proceeded to prepare another area upstairs to accommodate our party! “Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“I visited for a late breakfast, and everything was wonderful. The food was generous and delicious. I ordered the Guy's Breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were generous and perfectly prepared, the home fries had a lovely and savory taste, the sausage was real and delicious, and the ricotta pancake was fantastic. It was a filling breakfast and I didn't eat again until much later in the day.

“I do not recommend this place. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar last night and were never even acknowledged. We stayed for 10-15 and after no acknowledgement from the bartender or service we left. Rhonda and Chon at the hot chocolate stand were quite the opposite of our experience inside. They were both so helpful and accommodating.“

“We visited Cornerstone for Brunch. I had an omelette with leeks and asparagus and a white sangria. The food and drinks are really good here. Expertly crafted with great nuances of flavor.
Cornerstone is a bit overpriced for portion size but not extremely.
The service here is lacking for me. There is just a snobbish aura from the staff who only seem particularly interested in their regular, repeat customers. New customers seem to be treated with covert flippancy. Therefore, I probably won't be back unfortunately.“

“Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding. I am a little hesitant to post this since their Facebook page seems to have gone silent and reviews on other platforms indicate that management and menus may have changed in the last 6 months. But I was so pleased with my experience that it only seems fair to give credit where credit is due…. If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Cranberry and have 30 guests or less, I highly recommend the private room at Ember and Vine in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry. We researched every restaurant in the area and Ember and Vine at DoubleTree delivered a perfect solution. Their facilities are beautiful and modern, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Although they can do traditional seated banquet-style meals, we wanted something distinctly different from our wedding dinner the following day. We chose to order off their regular restaurant menu and have them cordon off a portion of the lobby area next to the private room, where a buffet was placed with different flavors of wings, woodfired pizzas, salad, and their oh-so-yummy crispy brussels sprouts. Not only were they flexible with the setup and menu (accommodating multiple food allergies), they also provided the option to have a limited bar within the private room or have our guests use the full bar in the lobby. Having the private room but also the cordoned off lobby area gave us extra area to mingle and a great balance between private space and the fun energy and ambiance from the restaurant and bar. Our guests loved the food and had loads of fun! Other factors that made Ember and Vine a clear winner for us were: - They had a very low minimum spend. Other locations with private dining had a ridiculous minimum spend that would be difficult to meet with a 20-30 person guest list. - The large parking lot. We looked at other options closer to our venue and parking was limited. - Flexibility with timing. We gave them a general time frame for arrival, but not knowing how long the rehearsal would take, they told us just to call them when we were 20 minutes out. Thanks DoubleTree and Ember and Vine for a classy venue and excellent food that let my husband and me and our closest friends and family relax and have a great time before our big day!!“

“I've been ordering from Big Shot Bob's in Avalon for over ten years. They're the best in the Burgh. They opened on New Year's Day to provide fresh delicious wings. Pre-ordering wings for New Year's Day was a breeze and the service is very friendly. I was able to call and make a change to a pick up order with ease.
