“Great food and wait staff!“

“Everything was quality, place was clean and staff were super attentive and nice. I have to be careful with my gluten allergy but cross contamination was not much of a risk. Everything in its own hotel pans and covered, dedicated utensils for each dish. Very much worth the money to bring kids for I think $5 each.

“I have some interesting compulsions. The staff let me sweep leaves that were bothering me during an EDM show. That's some next level customer satisfaction.

Beyond that, the venue is amazing. Excellent acoustics, great layout, multiple bars for beverage needs(if that's your thing), as well as a kitchen tucked in the back.“

Went on Saturday morning and it was so impressive we said “We’re coming back tomorrow before we leave!” Only to return Sunday morning and they had standing room only! “Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“We had 7 people. Made reservations 2 wks prior. Food was delicious. One person got chicken parm, specifically answered "no" when asked if she wanted noodles. The meal came with noodles under her chicken. Also, there was an issue with their check. Waitress never brought the slip that gets signed from using credit card. She insisted she gave it, didn't understand they needed the part the customer actually signs. Not sure what the issue was but waitress realized she never actually rang it up which is why they didn't get the slip. So those 2, although they did like the food, weren't real happy with the service. Waitress spoke in double time. So fast it was hard to understand what she was saying. Seemed kind of moody so not sure if it was just a bad day for her, or if she's always this way. But the food was delicious!“

“I do not recommend this place. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar last night and were never even acknowledged. We stayed for 10-15 and after no acknowledgement from the bartender or service we left. Rhonda and Chon at the hot chocolate stand were quite the opposite of our experience inside. They were both so helpful and accommodating.“

“Good food and lots of space for shows, they get great artists. Staff varies though, i have had negative experiences with some of the bartenders. They pay their rent in one night in tips and still get unfriendly. Id recommend training for stressful environments for the staff. Other than that its good.“

I used to live here about 8 years ago and moved away for that time period, but as soon as I moved back in 2023, I had to get some of their wings!The wings are just as incredible as before and their flavors are insane! “Went there for the first time on a Saturday for dinner. Nice place with lots of options. Our server who was doubling as cook was super nice and answered all our questions and special requests. I got the Cranberry Poppins salad. It was fresh, delicious and very large. The rest of my party had the fish sandwich, the chicken tenders and fries and the Alcove Burger. Everyone liked their food. We left just as the band was setting up. Would definitely go back again.“

“Very, very nice cafe. Great spot for a relaxed breakfast or brunch, with many of the breakfast classics and some of their own delicious spins. They are best known for their ricotta blueberry pancakes, which I tried alongside their croissant breakfast sandwich.

First, the pancakes. These were definitely quite good. Tons of real blueberries (whole little pieces) all through a fluffy pancake. And, they make their own syrup as well! I will say, I would have preferred a stronger ricotta flavor to cut some of the sweetness. But, they were still very good pancakes.

The croissant sandwich came with egg and cheese, as well as a side of home fries. They cooked the eggs perfectly, and included just the right amount of cheese. Their default is a fried egg (you can see they got the yolk just right), but personally, I prefer scrambled eggs. You can ask for scrambled eggs for no charge, so next time I will do so. It was a super flavorful sandwich! Really nice and buttery croissant as well.

The potatoes were also very good. Cooked well and seasoned to perfection. I’m surprised as to how much flavor this side had! They salted it quite a bit too.

All in all, I really liked this spot. Nice portions (the croissant was huge and so were the pancakes), prices were reasonable, and quality was excellent. Would definitely go back!“
