“The food is good, and the prices are low compared to a LOT of other places in the area. The service is stellar from friendly staff. I recommend this place to my coworkers all the time, and they love it, too. If you are not used to the "Papi" store experience, don't let the appearance fool you. They are a neighborhood convenience store, so think Walmart, Wawa and Home Depot combined into one store the size of a hotel room. The food is consistently good!“

“First the meatloaf and the chili are both top notch. Only two items I’ve tried on multiple visits, but would definitely order both again. The menu is great, a lot of selection, and food is relatively quick to arrive (good given they close at 6pm is my recollection). Service has been normally good, gets very busy. Atmosphere is retro-diner so it gets loud, but as to be expected. Go, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“I was lucky to stumble upon Miller's Cafe II last weekend. The diner is a gem. While the food was excellent, the service and atmosphere were the highlights. Locals wondered in throughout the morning, greeting the staff and one another and sharing their news over coffee and eggs. The cafe conveyed a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality, largely due to the one waitress's kindness and humor. It was a pleasure spending a few hours there.“

“Tons of coffee options and different flavors that you can mix & match, breakfast sandwiches are made to order. The sandwiches are a bit on the pricier side but usually big enough that I split them into 2 meals. If you go on a weekend or holiday I suggest ordering ahead on their website, I was quoted 25-30 min when I ordered at the counter on a Sunday.“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties, home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

The value for the food was fairly price; got 4 banana pancakes for around $10. The pancakes were very delicious and they were perfectly cook. Don’t sleep on good deli!“

“So I came in yesterday for Mother’s Day , My mom wanted to go somewhere else cause she never heard of the restaurant and it looked dim but when we was looking for restaurants the reviews said nope you gotta eat there and you must try the gumbo so after some convincing we went in not the most pleasing looking restaurant not dirty but more so outdated ,but in a fun kind of way they have a old school phone booth that we took pictures in non of the plates matched which was fine cause it reminded of a actual home I like the the owner came and introduced himself and ask to have a seat and made sure we got everything we needed I already ordered the gumbo but he suggested it and give the rest of my party a sample . When I tell you the gumbo was so good I called my best friend who never had gumbo and told her to come and she was amazed I can honestly say we loved everything the home feeling the comfort food , the prices it was a party of 4 we had aloooottt of food cause we wanted to try everything and it was only 75 dollars or so with drinks and laughter and nostalgia included will worth glad I convinced my family to give this Philly hidden gem a try also No pork for all my non pork eaters in Philly give this place a try . When I come back to Philly to visit definitely going back
Dietary restrictions: Doesn’t serve pork
Parking: Street parking
Kid-friendliness: Not sure didn’t have kids“

“Such a phenomenal place for breakfast, containing a large variety of breakfast foods such as pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs, and more. Nice variety of coffees and lattes as well. They have lunch, but it’s a small menu, but it’s all homemade dishes which is definitely a good thing. The interior is fun, having many different pictures and nic nacs of old timey trends and fads. Very good location as well, being right near the train station.“

“Spoons is a family restaurant in the truest sense of the phrase. In a time where mom and pop establishments are being pushed to the brink by being forced to serve through nameless cyber middlemen. Come by to sit and enjoy some of the best and fluffiest pancakes south Philly has to offer, served up by some of the most pleasant folks you will ever meet.“

“I don't know what's going on with the one star ratings but they seem fake.
I ordered 3 times from Graduate Breakfasts. Pancakes with Nutella on a delivery order; they were fantastic The pancakes were cooked perfectly and the sides of meat were fresh and hot. The portions are on the large side which is great for me because I like a big breakfast.
The next delivery was a bunch of dishes for my friends and I to recover from the night before and they did the job we all felt great and refreshed and rejuvenated after eating these yummy plates. Nomx100.
Lastly, I had was a spontaneous chicken salad sandwich as I was walking by. Even this everyday-type-sandwich was very tasty and anything but mundane. It was seasoned perfectly and not dry and the bread was fresh so was the produce.
So don't believe the fake reviews. You can tell by their equally lame fake names and identical content. (e.g. Justin Case. So unimaginative, like the post)
This place is a gem. The food is fresh, tasty and fulfilling. Meals of this caliber can only be prepared by people who care about the food.
I just love good food. Period.
*I didn't rate the atmosphere because it's delivery or take out so that's not really applicable here.“

“Had a great cheese steak hoagie here last time I was in Philadelphia. Just the right amount of onions and very fresh. I had issues with some of my Canadian cards not working to pay and I felt bad causing a bother during busy breakfast hours. However the people running this place are very friendly and it's just a pleasant place to eat.“

“I ordered somewhat of 2 platters. Oreo waffles with hash browns chicken tenders. Fruity pebble French toast with salmon, eggs, and hash browns. The food was incredible my salmon was very flavorful and did not have a fishy taste. The waffles were super fluffy and moist!! However, the food that had toppings could’ve used a little more like my Oreo waffles and fruity pebble French toast. Also the packaging was a little messy the condiments were thrown in the bag so my napkins included were sticky with oil and sauces. Overall my food was delicious and delivery was speedy and the food was still hot on arrival. Definitely will order again!“

They remembered me and went out their way to call me and let me know they have spinach today and can add it to my order. ?? Ive also been ordering from them for a while now since I’ve lived in west Philly the past 3-4 years and they’ve never disappointed me. Whatever yall are doing, keep doing it!!!“

“Love this place!! Just moved to the area recently & wanted a quick place to grab breakfast. My food came up within 5 minutes! Was super fresh tasting & wasn’t greasy at all. Ryan greeted me when I walked in. You could hear the kindness & genuineness in his voice. He speaks to everyone like their his friend/family, asking their name, how their day is, for regulars asking how they’ve been etc, its so refreshing & admirable. He has such an amazing energy. Its people like this that make such a memorable experience & foster a sense of community to where even if the food was sub par (which it was not) I’d still come back! My server Ellie was sweet also!!! I love small owned businesses like this that treat you like a friend rather than just a stranger/customer. Can’t wait to come back to get lunch.“

“Sunnyside, off Ogontz Ave in Philadelphia, is my favorite spot to grab breakfast before my morning haircuts, and it never disappoints. They’ve got a great variety of options to suit any craving, but I always go for the turkey bacon sandwich on a long roll. It's so good that I’ve recommended it to friends, and they’ve fallen in love with it too! Plus, their home fries are next-level, crispy and perfectly seasoned—an absolute must-have.
One of the things I love most about Sunnyside, beyond the food, is the diversity of the people who work there. The staff is always so friendly, making you feel welcome every time you walk in. It’s just a great vibe overall.
The only small downside is that it can get busy during peak hours, so I recommend ordering ahead by phone or online about 30 minutes in advance to avoid the wait. But trust me, it’s worth it! Sunnyside is easily one of the best breakfast spots in Philly.“

“I'm biased, Idc ! I've lived in the neighborhood over 30 years and can say that Let's Grub is the BEST breakfast spot this side of West Philly!! They're literally the most consistent with the flavor. All of your favorite breakfast staples are bussin at this spot no kizzy. Don't take my word for it though, just go by there and grab you a shrimp & grits platter with cheese eggs and bacon on the side and crumble that bacon on top ? ? chefs kiss!! Also, try that French toast sprinkled with powdered sugar, with the most deliciously buttery, melt in ya mouth, better than yo mama savoriness in every bite ?!! Now, Idk about y'all, but I like a lil pork on my fork no shade ?. If you just want a sammich, I recommend the pork sausage egg and cheese on croissant ?. Hands down, my favorite breakfast sandwich ??. Finally, I'd wash all of this down with the biggest size half & half ice tea they got?!! Babyyy!! idk who back there blendin that up, but that stuff is fye?!! The prices are on point (?, I don't want them hiking them up cause baby they're affordable right now in this recession), they're friendly, and, they've had the same owners since I was a kid, nothin like a familiar face making you feel right at home. They've also had some upgrades since back in the day iykyk lol ?. My only gripe is that they don't have any type of delivery service cause they'd have my money every day! (Although,I guess that's actually a good thing ?). All i'ma say is TREAT YASELF ‼️“
