“Wonderful staff and the bar has a super cool vibe. My husband and I went Friday night for karaoke night 🎤 🎶 and it was a blast!! The drinks were bomb and I had fun and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like bars 🤣 I moved a couple of blocks away and seen karaoke so I figured why not give it a shot! 😊 10/10 would recommend 😎“

“My favorite place in Jim Thorpe! Yesterday, my friend and I stopped in for lunch and despite being super busy, we were able to be seated at the bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the food and cocktails were on point! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.“

“I love everything about Thunderhead! from date night, to casual dinners, and parties. We've been patronizing them since they opened. Thunderhead has some of the best curated cocktails around. I just hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband this past weekend, and everything was perfect. Their Antler Room that is used for parties is so beautiful. Our entire family loved the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Meredith was wonderful to work with to plan the gathering along with the staff that took care of our drinks and extras. 💓“

“My friends and I found The Wabash by accident,, we were chasing the Reading & Northern 2102 last Saturday Oct 25th 2025.. We were looking for a place for lunch and a few beers.. The food was good and prices were right,, and I got the last bowl of French Onion soup.. The woman behind bar was very nice to talk to,, putting up with us,, the Train guys... “It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“

The service, preparation, care of the order, and, up to and including the delivery of our food make me value this West Penn Diner experience as worthwhile and I feel appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the diner is clean. It is also really worth noting that your omelettes are just the very best! There is nothing to add except another order to them. All the ingredients that are included on the plate equal perfection. I feel confident to write that I bet all the customers feel that with all of these orders of perfection being carried out from the kitchen I believe you have a deadly combination of satisfied, happy and grateful customers. “I never leave reviews for places but I have to for here. the staff last night were so kind and compassionate, and I wish I caught the name of the employee who offered my husband and I some coffee after our accident. Though we couldn't eat from our nerves, I'd definitely stop in again just off the kindness of the staff alone.“

“I enjoy this restaurant but it’s disappointing that the hamburger patties contain bread filler. It’s too nice a menu (and high enough priced) to be using substandard products. 100% ground beef formed into a patty is basic bar food. Cutting corners with something so silly will save you pennies but cost you dollars, via good customers not coming back.“
