“Good service, the server was hustling which I really appreciated, food was excellent, the fact they include bread and soup or salad with the entree makes it very reasonable pricing. Food itself was delicious- just as good as what we had in Italy. I had the chicken piccata which hit the spot, loved the sauce and capers and super tender chicken. The pasta Alfredo was so tasty it moved my pregnant wife to tears so you KNOW it’s good!! Definitely worth a visit ?“
“We ordered through Door Dash. We were not geographically close but somehow the food arrived still warm! Overall we were pleased. My husband ordered the catfish & wings meal. He was very happy. I just wanted a piece of cod. excellency! Would definitely order again. Seasoned correctly!“
“Perfect place for a romantic date! Service is amazing, their food quality and freshness are top-notch. My husband and I spent our anniversary here, and it was the best decision. My fav dish that night was Big Eye Tuna, and my husband LOVED Angel Food Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Flourless Chocolate Cake. We will definitely stop by again next time we are in Pittsburgh!“
“A high end, high priced, and high quality experience. The seafood options are wonderful. Black cod with a hint of heat and spice or a hong kong style sea bass or some delectable scallops. The shellfish tower was light on content for $80 but made up for with good flavor.Cocktails can be hit or miss and I found them to be fairly weak.Service was top notch and our hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly.“
“Pittsburgh rarely disappoints when it comes to Asian food. Senyai is no different. Visited Senyai for dinner with my family. The ambiance and staff are welcoming. We sat in the dining room, which is a cozy setting. We would like to try the patio seating next time. The food was really good. We ordered some dumplings, tom kha soup and fired calamari, which are our family favorites. Dumplings were good. However, the calamari was a bit overcooked. Kids liked their Pad Medamamuang. I ordered ped krob (thai spicy) and loved it. My wife ordered tom yum (thai spicy) and loved it as well. We loved the fact that the portion sizes are not too big. Overall it was good experience. We will definitely come back.“
“Angela, is an angel. She was one of the most kind servers I have ever come across. They had a picture of a juicy cheeseburger out front which is what drew me in. It did not disappoint! It was so big I could barely finish.I am making this as one of my favorites ? you should too!“
“Overall, we had a mixed experience at the restaurant. While the service was good, there were some issues with the food quality control during our visit. The burrata was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cheeseburgers. However, we were disappointed to find that the capers in the steak tartare had a moldy odor to them, and the Lobster Mac was overly salty, making it inedible. Despite these setbacks, Manager David promptly addressed the issues, which we appreciated.“
“amazing place, turkish coffee was superb, i had meat qutab which was delicious and lamb chops. highest reccomendation. the staff was extremely kind and hospitable. service was at a very relaxed pace which is wonderful because many restaurants want to rush you; they did not at all :).“
“You stand in line you order what you want and they cook it fresh right in front of you they weigh it up then you pay at the end you can eat inside or a balcony upside or outside across the street there's a free parking lot with benches you could sit outside and eat and it don't cost nothing to park there“
“Had a great dinner here. The boom boom shrimp appetizer is an amazing appetizer. I had the cod imperial, and it was tender and delicious. Do yourself a favor and pay for the upcharge and get the brussel sprouts side. You won't be disappointed. The food is pricy but so is everything now when you go out“
“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“
“I come with my husband for lunch. We always get the lunch special and he LOVES the soup that comes with it. I adore the Tum Yum veggie soup. The summer roll is so fresh and the crab app is crispy and always hot. It’s a family owned business so that just makes it even better. You can’t go wrong with anything you get. Try the Musaman curry with beef. The owner is so sweet and that’s what keeps my husband and I coming back for more.“
“Read the mini bio/mission statement of young Luke Wholey at the front of the restaurant; so charming and somehow makes you feel personally connected. The food we ordered was cooked very well with great freshness, flavor and seasoning. The fish and oysters were excellent. We had the unexpected opportunity to meet and speak with R. Wholey who was very generous with his time in answering questions about the history of the family business. What a treat!Personally observed LW with a broom in hand and doing a quick clean of the stairs then also acting as greeter and host as guests came in. It was our first visit, hopefully not the last, and I hope the restaurant continues to have success and longevity much like the related Wholey's fish market and grocery store down the block.“
“Went there for Valentines Day.....first time there. Very quaint place. French Onion soup was delicious as was the Halibut. The service was spectacular and we did not feel rushed at all. The lemon sorbet was a nice touch to cleanse the pallet. We will be back.....hungry.“
“Love this place and the family that runs it! They've been serving the community amazing food for so many years, and I have to stop in every time I'm in the area! I get the combo fried rice and the wontons with moon sauce! Moon sauce is spectacular!! Iykyk!!!“
“One of the best fried food in town. And I’m talking about this specific branch. The workers are super friendly. I’ve been in Pittsburgh for about 5 years and I can finally say that I found my spot for fried chicken. Their grilled chicken is dope and if you’re into grilled chicken wings then you must try theirs. I highly recommend it! Bang for your buck!“
“It was our first time here, but from what I can see and taste, the owners put together a great menu with excellent recipes and kudos to their kitchen for their great execution.I honestly think I've found my new favorite italian restaurant.Kid's pasta is $7. Id say it serves kids 10 and under. Kids liked it.Bread basket/rolls were excellent. The salads were refreshing on a warm day.I really enjoyed my time here, and hope to be back many many times again.“
“Central Diner & Grille is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places! Family-owned and operated, it has a welcoming atmosphere for any occasion. My favorite is the Mediterranean Omelet but I have not had a bad experience with any dish. The food presentation is always picture-perfect. The servers and all staff are polite and efficient. If you have never gone, I recommend you try them today!“
“Favorited restaurant for their homemade ravioli, pizza, and hoagies. Food quality is good. Gets crowded fast during the dinner rush and parking becomes scarce. Pricing is average for the area. Local family owned. Has a separate bar area. Dining area is a bit on the smaller side. Had a separate area and entryway for takeout pickup.“
“Great experience at Alihan's today! My friend and I ordered the iskander kebab and Turkish falafel. We really liked them both! The complementary bread is so soft and chewy. The ambience strikes a nice balance between classy and comfortable. We learned from the staff as they closed out for the evening that they had been understaffed. They were so pleasant and attentive that it didn't show! I highly recommend Alihan's for an all around positive experience.“
“I’ve visited multiple times. Some dishes are decent, while others are a bit salty. Overall, it’s a reliable place to go. They offer a happy hour for drinks and oysters. Personally, I think this place is better than the one in Lawrenceville (if you’ve read my other reviews)“
“Amel's is top of the line Mediterranean cuisine and my favorite go-to for baba gannouj. They have an extensive menu (including American fare) and always have several dinner specials. My favorites: stuffed eggplant, mazze platter, tabbulee, grape leaves and lamb shish kabob. The beet salad is excellent. Their seafood specials are always fresh and delicious! The swordfish kabob is outstanding if it's on special. Entrees include a stellar Amel's salad and warm pita bread. There's a separate bar with patio seating and a small bar in the dining room. Embellishing a great dinner is a warm and colorful ambiance of many hanging lamps, and the romantic mural on the wall will captivate your imagination! I've enjoyed dining here for years, and it offers good service and a moderately priced menu. Amel's is one of the few restaurants where you can enjoy a late dinner or small plates and cocktails. They are open until 11 pm Monday through Saturday. If you are looking for a big hit for a party try the mazza platter. I thoughtful friend added it to my birthday party menu. It contains, the dips, taboulee, artichoke hearts, stuffed grape leaves and pita. It can also be also vegan friendly and gluten-free, and everyone loved it!“
“We tried this place for the first time last month and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We didn't have a reservation but they sat us in the bar area so I guess I would most likely make a reservation next time . I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was huge ! Also very good . Very generous portions for sure . Can't wait to go back“
“This place is awesome! If you're looking for some fried fish and fried chicken that will blow your balls off, you've found the right place. I've had their chicken salad too and it's a yinzer masterpiece. Sure, I've had their gyro too and it wasn't a 10 out of 10 but this is the FISH and CHICKEN Boss not Mike and Tony's. Don't be a potato, pull you're head out of your rear end and order some fried deliciousness“
“Stopped in for an early dinner. Ordered the fresh rolls, garlic pepper chicken and green curry tofu. All were excellent. Great service. Calm atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Nice selection of vegan options. Plan to go again!! Worth the trip.“
“My mom, my son and I came to Merchant on Friday (2/16) night. Merchant Oyster is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty...pretty good.We sat upstairs and our waiter was great! Really friendly and welcoming. He had a lot of patience chatting with my son and that means a lot because my son is very talkative. ?The vibe at Merchant is great. It's eclectic and warm and welcoming. The food was awesome. The warm lobster roll with butter was heavenly. And the crab cake sandwich was so fresh and flavorful. The plain mac and cheese was good. It's definitely a nice option for kids. I recommend trying the potato salad. It was crisp and refreshing making it a nice accompaniment to the seafood. We'll definitely be back.“
“I had the chicken salad on a croissant. It was good but hard to eat as the croissant didn't tend to break apart as it was being eaten. The coleslaw was good but some herbs would make it great. The waitress was excellent. Very attentive and pleasant. I will say that the restaurant was quite busy. So next time I will try something different.“
“We were in the area for a Pittsburgh Penguins game, but we're from Northwest Ohio. This was the BEST hibachi place we've ever eaten at! The owners took great care of us and they are so proud of their restaurant and 29 years in business. I wish we lived closer so that we could become regulars!“
“We come here all the time to eat and buy the freshest seafood in Pittsburgh! The menu changes so we are always trying something new and deliciousDietary restrictions: Plenty of naturally gluten free optionsParking: They share a free parking lot with Bar Marco but if that is full pretty easy to get a street spot in the evening for dinner“
“Consistent food quality, which is pretty good.Consistent wait time (usually 5 minutes longer than told).Price wise, they are on the higher end of average, but as stated....consistent.This place is in the regular rotation of take out for me, so no complaints.“
“I do not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. I went to Red Lobster & ordered Twin Maine Lobster entrees with cole slaw. I took it home & steamed fresh asparagus. Each bite of everything just popped in my mouth, so succulant. Danni, the hostess was patient & terrific. The manager, Meghan, went over & beyond by making sure my order was correct & entertained me a little while I waited for my food to be done. I give TEN stars because 5 stars is not nearly enough ? !“
“Above average American Steakhouse. Service was so efficient. Rolls were hot and addictive even when we were holding back. Waghu beef meatballs were delicious. Wedge salad and Tomato / Burrata were embellished with attention to details. Steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Chilean sea bass was moist and succulent. Roasted chicken had crispy skin. It was tender and sauced nicely Butter Cake is a MUST. Great meal. Great wine list.“
“We had a private event in their private room earlier this week that was anticipated to have 26 attendees. The room was set up awkwardly in the fact that they made one long table even though it made all the chairs way too close to each other. The food was pretty good, especially our desserts and entrees. The service was also fast. When they brought out each course, they had several people bring out the food so the whole party got their dishes within a couple of minutes of each other. They also validate your parking in the attached garage but you should note that it's only for two hours so you may need to pay a small amount after the validation.“
“Some of the best food I've ever tried. The service was amazing I didn't know what to try and the waiter gave us some options and they were amazing. The restaurant is very nice inside to and very clean the vibe was awesome. I will definitely be coming back soon. Best restaurant I've tried in Pittsburgh!!“
“Coconut shrimp and paella are always the must-ordered here. Also tried the plantain bowl and it's good. We were told the key lime pie is 100% homemade here. Worth try because it comes with the novel comb that melt marshmallows on top. The dishes are a bit over seasoned but overall is good. A good chill place to go.“
“We Have Experienced The Restaurant And The Bar. We Mostly Utilize The Bar Area.Always A Quality, Welcoming, First Class Experience. If You Enjoy An"Old Fashion" As Far As I'm Concerned Nowhere Does Them Better.Quality Food/Outstanding Service“
“The French 75 was summer in a rocks glass, exactly what a gloomy Pittsburgher needs in this dreary weather. The Brussels Sprouts are the unsung hero, perfectly cooked with a spicy kick. They were mouth-wateringly delicious and without a doubt the star of the show!“
“food was incredible...we got the chicken and beef patties, plantains, wings, pepper steak with rice.. the sauce on the pepper steak and wings were out of this world. the only product i thought might have bee lacking was the beef patty. i was very satisfied though and we certainly will be back!“
“me and my boyfriend drove about an hour from beaver county to try shay and baeee's restaurant. the food was pictured exactly how it looks from the pictures online. my boyfriend got the lobster and shrimp. he said everything was fire, only thing he would of changed was to have more lobster meat. I got the chicken and steak, everything was great. chicken was a little dry (nothing a little sauce can't fix) and the cabbage and Mac n cheese was good. cabbage was just a little spicy for me (I'm weak with spicy foods so may be fine to others) go support small business, and hopefully we'll see y'all in beaver county one day!“
