I came because I had seen other reviews talking about how good the guy behind the counter was, and ill never go to another subway again as long as hes there. Dude always puts exactly what i ask for, not any less, not any more, just perfect. Not to mention, we can just chat while he makes it and hes fun to talk to. I have been around for over 40 years and have eaten at sandwich shops all over, but Peppi's blew me away. Not only is this my absolute favorite sub spot now, it easily earned a spot in my top 3 favorite restaurants anywhere. It might even be number one.

The Highlights:
* The Food: The subs my wife and I ordered were unreal. Fresh, loaded, and hands down the best we have ever had.

* The Value: The portion sizes are massive for what you pay. It feels like a throwback to the days when you actually got incredible value for your money.

* The Staff: Some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you will meet. You can tell they take genuine pride in their food, their history, and taking care of their customers.

* The Atmosphere: Plenty of comfortable, clean seating and a huge menu with tons of great options to choose from.

If you are anywhere near the North Side, this place is an absolute must-visit. We will be back on a regular basis.“

“Greatest food in America is right here. I'm a die hard, black & gold bleeding fan from Columbus, Ohio and visiting Peppi's for a RothlisBurger is a staple of my visits to Pittsburgh. I absolutely will always make time to eat at this restaurant. “Yesterday early evening order was delivered quickly. The 2 sandwiches were very good. However, we were very disappointed with the french fries that were very soft & greasy. “We found Breadbox on (happy) accident and I'm so glad we did!
The Steakhouse Panini and Italian Panini were nothing short of amazing! I absolutely love a good panini and these were the best I've ever had. We also grabbed a cinnamon roll and brownie - 11/10, no notes.
The staff were also so friendly. I get overwhelmed easily and I did not feel rushed into picking my order.
I wish we didn't live so far away - Breadbox would be a regular stop for us.“

“This is hands down the best fish and chip spot in Pittsburgh. The fish, shrimp and fries were excellent. Perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside just melts in your mouth. The house made donuts are also to die for. Highly recommend checking them out and the owner is super nice too!“

I was skeptical about the hummus being on the sandwich and originally asked for it to be made without but i’m honestly glad that they ended up putting it on there because it took it to a whole new level! “A fun setup! Our first time at this location. We were seated upstairs. Was definitely a little snug for our party, but food was amazing as always with Primanti. My only complaint was that we may have been overlooked a little, not being on the main floor. Drinks took a bit to get refilled. Other than that, a nice experience. Would return!“

“This JJ wasn’t terrible. The counter person was slightly condescending. She didn’t understand that I eat a Jimmy John’s multiple times a week because she felt the need to tell me what comes on the same sandwich that I ordered every time.
My instructions were not followed, and my sandwich did not meet my expectations. Even though they did not meet my expectations, I will go and give them another chance.
You know how distracting it is when you’re on your phone and there are no other customers, and instead of cleaning, maintaining your Restaurant following the one and only order you’ve probably gotten in one hour. You dropped the ball.

“I ordered two large trays of hoagies for my men’s group. They were delicious. On top of that , everything was taken care of (enough condiments, plates, forks, etc). All without being asked. “Lunch rush mishap.
There was a decent amount of patrons when I entered. The crew was noticably busy with online orders and a large line at the counter.
They took my order and asked my name. Guy said someone with same name was ahead of me, so he added "v2" to the end of my name on the ticket.
Well.... I waited.... and waited until I realized people who ordered after me, got their food before me.
Told them I'm still waiting.... They must have given the order away to someone else or couldn't read the ticket properly.

But they corrected the issue in a timely manner.“

“I travel all around Pittsburgh for my job. Every time I’m over on this side of town, I make sure to stop and get food from here. This is by far the cleanest subway I’ve been to, with the best service. No wait times, and early pick up if you order on the app. I highly recommend going here over any other one.“

“I'm giving this a 5, because of the excellent way the young lady handled the situation. It was later at night and every other Subway was closed. This location said open. What the site DIDN'T say was that it was for pick up orders only... My phone wouldn't complete the order for some reason. Even though the owner for some reason had this poor girl working by HERSELF AT NIGHT IN OAKLAND at the only open Subway and she was SUPER busy, she took a second to take my order and made sure I was taken care of and did it with a great and positive attitude. I felt so bad that they had her there by herself... She was excellent and courteous. And the food was good as well. I'm appreciative of her.“

“I stopped going to Subway a few years ago because of quality was terrible. A couple of years ago I moved and was very close to this location in Westview plaza. I don't know if it is just this location or all subways have stepped up their game but I have never gotten a bad meal at this place!
Everything is fresh and it fills me up. The best part is I order through the app and they always have at least buy one get a second for 50% off and run a buy one get one free promotion very frequently. Currently they are doing the buy one get one free promotion and I have gone there three times in the last 5 days. All three times the food was delicious and did not take long to get.
