“I ordered lunch and went down the counter to pay when I realized that I did not have my wallet. Went to my car to see if it had fallen out of my pocket. Couldn't find it. Went back into the store to ask them to cancel my order because I had lost my wallet or left it at home. Manager said not to worry about it - that they would comp my lunch. I ate, went home and found my wallet, returned and paid. The manager could not have been any more gracious when he comped my meal or when I returned to pay. I will definitely return.“

“Absolutely unique small restaurant in Pittsburgh. I think they have the best submarine type sandwiches among other things in the city. Their outdoor tables are different, because it's a tiny restaurant. For six of us it was great eating outside. The restaurant is fast, convenient and the food is delicious and reasonable.

Vegetarian options: I get the shadyside hoagie it's all veggies. I'm actually a meat eater but I love the shadyside.“

“I am so sad that they have closed. This was at least a weekly dinner for my family as my fiancé and I both work and live very close. The workers were given no notice, so the customers didn't get any notice either. We just happened to have a friend who got lunch that day and we found out from them. Yes, it was an old building and yes it wasn't "eat in" anymore, but it's sad for those of us who were frequent, loyal customers. The employees had been there for years, knew the customers and their orders and it was a close-knit crew. We heard that the building will likely be torn down and made into (another) strip mall. Disappointing. Shame on you, Peppi's.“

After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! Our waitress was adorable, friendly, cheery, and after she described several of the upcoming week's specials, we decided to come back again in the next few days for lunch!! “The choices on sandwiches was great. The service here was fantastic. This location wasn't that far from the interestate. I rated the food low due to two reasons. One
the fries were overcooked and full of burnt bits. Two they toasted both sides of my sandwich which made the bread hard and not at all like the original sandwich I got in downtown Pittsburgh. I just think this place needs to focus on quality l, don't toast bread or may only one side on the grill and they would be much better.“

“These subs are pretty good. Unlike Subway, you do actually get a decent amount of toppings, and you do get a little more meat on their subs. But I guess with that little bit extra is the price difference. These subs are on the tad pricey side, though. Overall, it's a good place to grab a sub.“

Kid-friendliness: It's a sub joint, about as kid friendly as it gets. Plenty of room for strollers too.“

“This location was average for what you expect from a Subway. Getting a sandwich made the way you want it but.. Subway (Corporate) has been in the news too many times over the years for negative things... "Foot long" does not mean 12 inches (when measured), the bread is not bread (too much sugar by weight), and recently... the tuna might not be tuna (still to be decided by the courts). While I still go there for the meatball sub, my hope and faith is that there is real meat in the meatballs. If not, I will have to plug myself back into the matrix and live out my days in blissful ignorance.“

I have come twice with my 2.5 year and 8 month old and they are always so sweet to the kids and the woman has given my older one a free cookie twice which she really appreciates. “At this particular location for being way understaffed, I have to say I'm VERY impressed by the manager running it now. For being the ONLY one literally working, he keeps the place exceptionally clean, tables floors, bathrooms and food prep station as well. And not only that, he greeted us with a smile, welcoming attitude, didn't show how stressed and exhausted he was and gave the best service I've had in a very long time.
