“I stopped at Subway in Homestead, PA before a concert needing to be quick and still get a good meal. They have a nice restaurant there connected to a pharmacy. It was clean with friendly and quick service. The food was very good and prepared with care. I recommend this location.

“Absolutely unique small restaurant in Pittsburgh. I think they have the best submarine type sandwiches among other things in the city. Their outdoor tables are different, because it's a tiny restaurant. For six of us it was great eating outside. The restaurant is fast, convenient and the food is delicious and reasonable.

Vegetarian options: I get the shadyside hoagie it's all veggies. I'm actually a meat eater but I love the shadyside.“

“My family's favorite sub shop. 45 minute drive but always worth it. Tried at least a dozen different items now and all were the best. If you have never been there - you really do not know what you are missing - it has no equal. The bread and meats and prep are all unique - a really great place !!“

“Always an awesome experience. I have four sons who are always hungry for Glads! Had a church function and got a Gladiator and some antipasto. It didn’t disappoint. Everyone ranted and raved, especially over the bread. All top notch ingredients and would highly recommend. It’s a great value for the money and you won’t go away hungry.“

“I am so sad that they have closed. This was at least a weekly dinner for my family as my fiancé and I both work and live very close. The workers were given no notice, so the customers didn't get any notice either. We just happened to have a friend who got lunch that day and we found out from them. Yes, it was an old building and yes it wasn't "eat in" anymore, but it's sad for those of us who were frequent, loyal customers. The employees had been there for years, knew the customers and their orders and it was a close-knit crew. We heard that the building will likely be torn down and made into (another) strip mall. Disappointing. Shame on you, Peppi's.“

“This is hands down the best fish and chip spot in Pittsburgh. The fish, shrimp and fries were excellent. Perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside just melts in your mouth. The house made donuts are also to die for. Highly recommend checking them out and the owner is super nice too!“

“Came here after work to order takeout because I wanted a bite to eat. I got the turkey sando and the tots and let me tell you I was impressed! I was skeptical about the hummus being on the sandwich and originally asked for it to be made without but i’m honestly glad that they ended up putting it on there because it took it to a whole new level! The vibe of the place was also a plus, really down to Earth!“

Goggle "steak hogie near me" and this place popped up. I said " i got nothing to lose" and i was right. I dint loose anything instead i gained some happiness. Great prices. The half of hogie sized it basically the size of a whole hogie at most other steak houses. The bread, onions, and of course the steak is amazing. Ppl friendly, and the atmosphere reminds me of what life used to or what life should be lol. Idk i guess iam getting to deep for just a review lol. “What a divine breakfast we enjoyed here this morning! After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! Our waitress was adorable, friendly, cheery, and after she described several of the upcoming week's specials, we decided to come back again in the next few days for lunch!! What a friendly place with simply delicious food! Thank you!!“

The staff do a phenomenal job here and make this place the best one out of all the ones I've been to. It's always clean, the food is really good, and service is top notch. “W were a harmar location yesterday. We purchased a large pizza and the tray the server put the pizza on was filthy. It even had sauce smeared on it. The pizza was not cooked enough. The server was there but very unfriendly. I asked to be rated in the non bar area because I'm on crutches at this time. We were seat right beside the bar.“

“By far well worth the price which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’m not sure what the waitress name was but man was she awesome. She was so attentive and super kind. “It's a classic older family run restaurant. 1980's Pepsi menu boards, cheap prices, family owned, etc. The subs/hoagies are 100% over rated. Now the burgers, pizzas, fries, broccoli bites are worth it. They are priced well and taste pretty good. Have been there a few times to try their menu and can see going back.“

“These subs are pretty good. Unlike Subway, you do actually get a decent amount of toppings, and you do get a little more meat on their subs. But I guess with that little bit extra is the price difference. These subs are on the tad pricey side, though. Overall, it's a good place to grab a sub.“

“This is my absolute favorite sandwich shop in Pittsburgh. Delicious sandwiches, free fries when you dine in. We love getting the provolone sub, a big hunk of griddled cheese, warm and gooey, on delicious roll with the usual toppings. She makes sure the orders are what the customer is looking for exactly and really goes out of her way to do so. She’s such an asset to your team!! She has given me an exact same experience a few months ago when I told her that I had ordered a sandwich from the McKnight Road location and had a really horrible experience. The Brussel sprouts in the cold items are amazing. Anytime I am dt I always stop to see if they have Brussels. Would recommend for lunch. “We haven't been to this location in years. Came in this Sunday and it was busy. (A large group of 6 or 7 adults plus kids before us, and another one after us.) Only one person working. I think his nametag said "Twig" which was unusual, but the food prep area was clean, he was quick and professional and I even saw him change his gloves. When the sub he was making for me got a bit wet he took the time to wrap it again in a new paper which I appreciated. (We were taking the subs hiking.) Totally solid experience from a rockstar and I hope management of the store appreciates what a great employee they've got. We were having a rough day so having a good experience for lunch turned it around. We'll be back.“

A bit pricier than what you pay for Subway or Jimmy John's, but the quality you get in return is well worth it.“

“I live close to this subway and the two women who are working here are awesome. I know I will get consistent and methodically well made sub.Because the store is clean and the workers are friendly and welcoming I recommend this particular location.

Parking: The parking lot is in a plaza so there is plenty of parking.“

“This is the best subway I have ever been to! Everything is so fresh and extremely clean. The owners are always so nice and welcoming. I have come twice with my 2.5 year and 8 month old and they are always so sweet to the kids and the woman has given my older one a free cookie twice which she really appreciates. I saw other customers come in and the owner remembered everyone’s order if they had been in before which I find super impressive. I highly recommend coming to this subway! I’ll be back!“

“Shop just opened, I frequent the franchise... my experience today was great and worth taking the time to recognize the efforts of the manager. He recommended his favorite that I never tried and then he continued to step on the line and make it himself for me; I was blown away with the result. Might be my favorite cold sub ever.
