“I was in on June 9th, 2022 and was waited on by a lovely woman named Carissa. I was unsure on what to order and she gave great recommendations on what sandwich to order. She suggested the chicken and bacon ranch, which was amazing. I never buy chips or a drink either but she was able to sell me on those too. If she’s not manager yet she needs to be. Stellar service!“

We'll be back!8/26/23 11:31am: Two Delicious footlong tuna subs on white with fresh veggies for me and mom. Fast friendly service from two ladies. Take-out order. $13.90 with tax n coupon. Glad there is a sign that says what subs can be purchased with coupons. The tv was a bit loud, noticed it as soon as I walked in, but was getting takeout, so didn't affect me. I'll be back!“

“This is THE sandwich shop. Period. Read amazing reviews from people about this place and decided to give it a shot yesterday afternoon. It was by far the best experience I have had in any restaurant in quite some time. I had ordered their Reuben, and I ordered a Steak Hoagie for a family member of mine. When I say I have been eating Reubens for a very long time, I mean it. This was the BEST Reuben I had EVER eaten. My family member also had stated that that was the BEST Steak Hoagie she had EVER eaten as well. Got the Turbo Fries as well, and they came with an absolutely delicious hot sauce that they make in-house. The owner(?) I think was the one who prepared our food, and after we had started to dig into this amazing food, he then proceeded to come over and ask us what we thought of the food. Man if that ain't the most wholesome thing you could experience while eating at a new place, I don't know what is! The woman who took our order was extremely kind and helpful as we ordered. If I could give this place 10/5 for Food, Atmosphere, and Service I absolutely would. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. You NEED a sandwich like what they make here. I will be back again, and again, and again.. you get the picture. My favorite place for sandwiches as of yesterday. Thank you to all who make this place as great as it is!“

“It's a classic older family run restaurant. 1980's Pepsi menu boards, cheap prices, family owned, etc. The subs/hoagies are 100% over rated. Now the burgers, pizzas, fries, broccoli bites are worth it. They are priced well and taste pretty good. Have been there a few times to try their menu and can see going back.“

“In Pittsburgh for the weekend and ordered food for a large group from The Chip Shop. Absolutely everything was excellent! We had to feed twelve people, so we had a variety of menu items and can report that nobody was disappointed. I did not personally pick up the food, but the folks that did said that the service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. We also had the donuts, and they, too, were a big hit! Recommend highly!“

“I’ve visited this place recently and it was my first time visiting this restaurant, I ordered their cheese sandwich and it was something different and was decent. I visited during weekday evening and it was quite crowded and not enough staff also the place was not that well kept but wasn’t too bad either. For the price of the food this place is okay.“

“Went for the first time 4/11/24.Atmosphere: parking lot is a little strange, but it's labelled super well. I picked up takeout so wasn't inside very long, but it was clean and nice looking.Service: employees were very nice and helpful. I asked for a modification on a sandwich (half pickles, half banana peppers) and they did it no problem.Food: got two cold subs, 2' Italian and 1' turkey, and potato salad. Bread was fresh, and there was a good amount of toppings like the meat and veggies. The meat on the Italian wasnt what I expected - it was ham and some kind of soft meat with spices in it (maybe bologna, I'm not really sure). We both thought it tasted great though. I loved the potato salad. I think it might have been a loaded baked potato style - seemed to have bacon in it.One thing that was weird to me is that they charged extra for pickles/banana peppers/jalapenos. It was over $2 to get pickles on a 2' sub. They were jarred so I'm not really sure why it was so much. That being said it wouldn't deter me from coming back. Will return!!“

“I'm visiting Pittsburgh with my girlfriend and we decided to try out this deli. We got a Teresa's Arrosto diManzo and a Tutti. Portions are generous and they come with a pickle spear. We toasted on the pickle and both bit in. The pickle was perfect. The Tutti had a nice balsamic dressing and I polished it off fast. To my girlfriend's chagrin. The Arrosto had a nice horseradish dressing. It was amazing. Definitely enjoyed my time here.“

“They make really good sandwiches. I had the Italian sub. The bread was soft and chewy and the fillings were tasty. I will probably go extra meat next time just because it tasted so good. My wife had the fish sandwich. This was no little fish sandwich! The filet of fish hung out a good 3 inches in each side of the bun. It's a plain sandwich with just the fish, but it was light and flakey (you can add cheese, tartar or ketchup. I would definitely recommend it.“

Always great service and recently they were short staffed and manager Ernie, maintained so much calm, and composure while being slightly backed up with orders. “Tried once, with the deals and coupons it was an ok price. Typically reasonable Family members had complained about high prices for what you get, but I didn't think it was bad considering the fact it's fast food wings. I may not be as impressed if I paid full board price though? Sauces aren't my exact jam, but ones I had were solid, but nothing memorable. Wife enjoyed them more, which makes sense as we have very different preferences for wings. But it's a win though if she's happy and I can be too.“

I've been to other Subways, but the one in Downtown McKeesport, by far, had the creamiest tasting tuna fish, while the others were drier tasting. “I loved experiencing the primanti sandwich in Pittsburgh. The number two best seller Pitts-burger was average. I would suggest any of the other originals. The slaw that is one of the toppings was great l just don't love items on a sandwich that make your bread soggy. There are generous children options available. I shared a picture of the pizza and fries. The lunch hour on a Sunday is busy so nice to see an active environment. It's an experience and a great place to dine with others.“
