“My experience with Lancaster Pie & Coffee began before even entering. My husband and I were reading the sign and then when we finally headed in the owner was there opening the door for us, because he saw my husband was using a cane. Once we were inside we were met with the prettiest cafe, local art to peruse, the incredible smell of pie and the warmest smile from the woman behind the bar / register. The vibes were top notch. So what about the pie? If you call yourself a pie place the pie should be, at least- good. Well, the pie is actually quite amazing. We tried the apple, blueberry and the lemon. The lemon was the showstopper, but all three were spectacular. It felt like coming home and home is perfect and has great pie. Their hot chocolate was good and included rustic homemade marshmallows. The tea selection was fantastic. One of my favorite things (and there were many from my experience), was the quiche. I've tried the quiche in just about every establishment in downtown Lancaster that offers it- none compare to the quiche here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom and it was a revelation. I feel bad for all of the other quiche makers everywhere else. So far behind..... Overall, I was immediately love stricken with the business. They deliver on every level. And the kindness and charm of the employees, owner and hostess must not be diminished. I have a handful of businesses in downtown Lancaster I order from or frequent quite a bit and the owners who are always there are rarely ever friendly or chatty, which is fine, but I wish there was more friendliness. Pie & Coffee has amazing food, fantastic pies and beverages and then the staff is so welcoming and sweet. It's all the things.“
“I recently tried Rachel's Cafe and had the California Chicken Crepe and the Strawberry Crepe. Both were delicious! The California Chicken Crepe had tender chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy sauce, all wrapped in a delicate crepe. The Strawberry Crepe was sweet and bursting with fresh flavor. The service was great, and the prices were even better, low price for sure. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal or sweet treat.“
“The coffee was delicious. I had one of their Valentines themed iced lattes with sweet cold foam and it was very good. They did forget my cold foam at first, but they were very apologetic and fixed it right away. The cold foam was also thicker, but I enjoyed it. If I'm in the area again, I will be going back (definitely trying one of their flavored cold foams next time as well as a bagel sandwich!). Also they offer milk substitutes, for anyone who has a dairy allergy like myself, or just has a preference for nondairys.Dietary restrictions: Milk Substitutes!!“
“Molly's is fantastic. From the food, the staff, the ambiance and the owner. You can see the genuine care that the owner has in not only every ingredient, but in the joy on the faces of the people who work there. A beautiful establishment; inside and out.“
“Very nice cafe. They have a great menu and a big selection of pastries and baked goods and fresh bagels, of course. The crepes and breakfast sandwiches are very good. Food service is a little slow because everything is fresh and made to order. The dirty chai latte was delicious too.“
“Pretty sweet coffee shop in downtown Lancaster. Coffee is good and the food was ok. I ordered a savory pastry that could have been warmed up but I was not offered that option. Be wary digital nomads, there is no Wifi offered at this shop, despite the name and numerous outlets under the seats.“
“The Bolo was the bessssssst breakfast sandwhich I’ve ever eaten. Might try on a different bagel next time- ordered on salt and probably would be better on everything or sesame considering bologna is already so salty. Also had walnut/fig cream cheese on cinnamon raisin which was also perfect. Coffee also tasted super fresh and artisanal for a regular drip?? All around superb.“
“Well OMG Becky, did you get a chance to stop in at this bakery? A little off the beaten path, but Becky, delish! The Apple Turnover was to die for AMIRIGHT? Coffee was tasty, but I have to admit that the quiche would have been better had I taken it home and heated it up just a bit. (I couldn't wait that long) The bread looked delish and the service was great too. Please and Thank You.(Even Ron Swanson would have appreciated it...maybe.)“
“Such a wonder group of ladies and delicious drinks! My husband even enjoys their coffee and he’s a Dunkin Princess. I’ve been a customer shortly after they opened and I’ve never been disappointed. They have no problems making something how you like.“
“It has the ice cream shop vibe that we all remember from our childhood, at least I do. It's a pleasant wait in a calming environment, it's fun to watch them work, even if it's not my order. It tastes great, and is so creamy. This place rocks.“
“OMG !!! Such amazing cupcakes!!! We bought 6 and received a discount for each cupcake. Every cupcake we bought was absolutely delicious!! Staff was so helpful. Iced coffee was delicious. Best cupcakes I have ever had . !!! Must go and visit this place !!!“
“Been frequenting both locations for a year and a half. Even when I’m not getting a coffee, I’ll grab a bag of their whole beans for my home setup (minor bias I’m a fan of coffee in general)Pricing is on the higher side but the quality is there; They set the gold standard for a great cup of coffee. Treat yourself! Also those vegan chocolate chip cookies are excellent“
“I’ve eating their ice cream for a few years which has always been fantastic but yesterday I tried the soup for the first time and oh my goodness, it’s amazing! This will be my go to place for soup from now on.Dietary restrictions: Soup was gluten free.“
“Such great service and I couldn’t have asked for a better result. The girl that helped us (can’t remember her name) was so helpful, patient, and thorough. They nailed it and we got so many compliments on the looks and taste of the cake. Also got a chai tea latte and a pastry when we were there ordering the cake and both were delicious. Definitely recommend and happy I found this place. Will certainly be back.“
“I finally understand the hype... Locals are obsessed with Dosie Dough because of their hours (open on Sunday), quick, good food, and free coffee multiple days throughout the month thanks to local businesses. Sometimes the baked goods could be a bit fresher in my opinion, but that's about it. They have some healthier options too like granola bars, 4 seed cookies, etc. I like that they have oat milk in their fridge for drip coffee.“
“Consistently good coffee. Good variety of drip coffee and espresso based drinks, and a good selection of teas. There is a small offering of food and pastries. Including a couple of vegan options. There is a variety of coffee beans for sale.Staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. It is a nice environment to sit down and work but the tables are not large so no space to spread out.I love coming here every time I’m in the area!“
“Went for a February Saturday morning right when they opened. The staff was friendly and the food and coffee were delicious. We got the shakshouka for 2. Food took about 20 minutes, but that was probably because they were just opening. I would definitely go back. Also great ambiance inside.“
“Came here on Labor Day at 12:30pm (thanks for being open!) There were a lot of people working on their computers I would assume from the surrounding college. We were fortunate enough to find some seating outside, while there were space inside, everyone kind of seemed in grind mode. Service was pretty straightforward for coffee shop. The aesthetic is very hipster coffee shop vibes and decor is admirable. They do not make their own syrups however, I do believe they make their little snack choices (vegan cakes and snack stuff) in house. There seem to be a lot of coffee bean choices and some yummy drink specials. I chose the cappuccino at first but was given a 12 oz latte like drink that was too exciting. The espresso didn’t really carry through my choice of milk: oat (although I did ask for whole milk-no biggie though.) I later purchased a cup with peanut brittle syrup and ice to make an iced latte. The flavor of the syrup was a nice addition and carried the coffee. My friends caramel iced coffee was average. Good coffee flavor but not too aggressive and on borderline of water-like in my opinion. I was appreciative of the condiment bar they had for the coffee including simple syrup. The coffee cake my friend got was a little underwhelming and dry, but the vegan blueberry coffee cake with pecans was quite delicious and flavorful. I received it cold in wrapped in saran wrap, so it’s most definitely a great workplace/take out coffee shop. Would be a pleasant place to return to. Thanks guys :)One double shot cappuccino with oat milk, and a blueberry vegan pecan cake thing came to 11 dollars.“
“Super kind employees, amazing lattes, and food thats almost always worth it. There's nothing bad I could say about this cafe even if I wanted to! Its definetley stop by and try it out.I'd personally recommend one of their paninis alongside an Iced Sweater Weather[Maple & Dirty Chai w cinnamon]“
“AMAZING PLACE!!! MORE AMAZING PEOPLE!!! I am a tour operator and had a group at Tanger Outlet Lancaster. Long and the short... I had a client in need of seat, and an outlet for his portable O2 in a standing room only Butter & Bean. So, one of the staff hears my plea for help and Jessie, the owner comes out. She makes arrangements for not only a seat near an outlet but grabs an extension cord to allow for some movement. The patrons in the entire cafe made way for Jessie and my client. I ask if we can just chill for an hour or so, till he gets charged up and she wouldn't hear of it. "Stay as long as you need to", she said. So, I bought my client a coffee and a sandwich, which was amazing, bought some coffees for those that made space for him, and invited the entire bus group to join us and support Butter and Bean. And we sure did. The food and coffee were great, but the spirit, the vibe and the whole experience I needed to share. Oh, did I mention it was Black Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1230p!!! Who does that??? Well, Butter and Bean does! So, get great coffee and really good eats, and support a business that we will proudly support in every way.“
“After being addicted to Dunkin' Donuts coffee for decades, I discovered Lancaster County Coffee Roasters at a local store. This is by far the best coffee I have ever had. I'm thoroughly addicted to Ross Street roast with Market House a close second. Do yourself a favor, go on their website and check out all their different coffees and buy some. You will enjoy superb coffee at reasonable prices.“
“So happy we found this breakfast place! Tons of gluten free options for breakfast. Beautiful atmosphere. Wooden elements and tables nicely contrast with the concrete floor. Very clean. Great drive through pick-up. 3 young employees keep the place and orders running smoothly.“
“Traveled all around for work and had coffee in many states and countries. This is the best of them all. I love making a stop here every time when I come home to see my sister. A must try for anyone in PA or passing through. Wasting your time any where else.“
“I love this shop. I have been there many times. The donuts are always fresh and made to order. Today I got the spooky box. Nobody likes coconut in our house so we substituted one donut out and it was no problem at all. Customer service was great. The girl at the counter was friendly. She made the donuts quickly. The donuts are delicious as always! Return customer and will return in the future“
“Went on a gorgeous Sunday about midday. The place was so busy, but drinks didn't take that long. Great London Fog that had flavor! For the tea drinkers, they have Harney & Sons. Try the PARIS!! 6 different kinds of quiche offered & 4 or 5 kinds of baked oatmeal!! Wish I lived closer! Keep up the awesome work, Coffee & Cream!!“
“Was not expecting baked oatmeal, bagels, and treats from the local Ric's Breads bakery at this two-track train station! Service was quick and friendly. The drip coffee I got from their carafes was pretty good, hot, a few options available. And there are even a few tables outside, or you can sit on one of the lovely wooden benches as the morning light streams in from the windows of a lovely, clean train station. Love that this cafe is here now!“
“I really drove up for a Chai Tea and a White Chocolate Hot drinks. I enjoyed these two drinks often. Unfortunately these two didn't survive the way home. The cups were defective and leaked. Unfortunately the bag tore when I reached my destination. No drinks but one hot mess. I called the restaurant and left the manager know and she graciously offered to replace. Excellent customer service by far!Parking: In front of store are approximately 10+ spaces shared with the other store.“
“This cafe was small and cute. I came here for lunch and I really enjoyed their sandwich. However, they had forgotten the fruit on my friend’s meal. The latte was presented beautifully and tasted even better. It was a pretty good experience!“
“Wonderful food and exceptional service. I have visited other locations of this franchise and this one is my favorite. the varied menu is quite tasty and i always order the teriyaki chicken onigiri and "milk strike" oreo wow. it is always well prepared even during busy hours compared to other locations. great!Dietary restrictions: I do not consume milk, and they offer delicious "milk strike" prepared with lactaid.“
“Food was great and a welcome alternative to the offerings at the hotel we stayed at, which was just a stone’s throw away. Cute walk-up window and benches for sitting on the sidewalk. We came at a good time on a Sunday, but a line formed soon after us and there was a a bit of a wait. Don’t go if you’re in a rush.“
“We did to-go coffee. Waited about 5 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and quick to great us. It was charming and cozy inside. My wife ordered a mocha which she said was quite good.Parking: Free parking lot in shopping complex, very short walk.Wheelchair accessibility: curb cuts in sidewalk with no stairs to entrance. Wide enough doors.“
“Last weekend, our family and friends threw us a beautiful baby shower at Garth. From the time we walked into the space, we knew that the team at Garth takes great pride in what they do. Our guests raved about the art and the beautiful rooms. Cle and his team worked behind the scenes to make sure the day ran smoothly. We would recommend this space to anyone looking to throw an intimate gathering. My husband and I are still re-living the day and will truly cherish the memories we created at Garth for a lifetime!“
“Seriously one of the most breathtaking coffee shops you’ll see , a fireplace , greenery and you can see through a window of the coffee roaster they use! The coffee was good , could’ve been a little stronger but that’s a personal opinion! Their pastries and food were straight up delicious! It’s a cozy environment for sure , so be prepared to stay there longer than you should!“
“So we arrived at the diner about 10:30 AM, and it was still incredibly busy. So I was very much enthused by that fact because busy typically means good. We were greeted promptly and shown to a booth. It was kind of like controlled chaos, and the sense that people were leaving. People are coming in waiters and waitresses are moving food around which is very much a diner atmosphere. So my wife ordered a meal and I forgot the name of the meal but where everything‘s mixed together and it was covered with cheese and it literally was a mountain of cheddar cheese covering it. Not only did she enjoy the meal there, but she brought it home and had it for dinner last night, and still has more left over. So I had a tomato basil mozzarella omelette with tater tots and side of turkey sausage. So everything came quickly and everything was delicious. The omelette was fantastic. You could taste the fresh basil in it and the tater tots were hot and crispy. I ate half of it and took half home. The turkey sausage was good as well, I definitely say we will be back there when we’re in the area. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the chaos it’s busy and it’s tight and there’s a hustle in the bustle and I don’t deal well with those. But I certainly will deal with those again when we’re back in the area because the food is great and the service is fantastic.“
“Got in town and needed a birthday cake at the last minute for my Mom. Geneva Bakery came thur with a brilliant, beautiful and delicious cake. Live in California now but Geneva is my go to for cakes and pastries when I'm in back Lancaster. Thanks Linda!“
“I've been buying their coffee for months! They roast it fresh and it's incredibly good quality with plenty of options of flavored and unflavored. I love their light roasts, and my two favorite flavored coffees are vanilla macadamia nut and Aztec! I highly recommend this coffee producer!“
“ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIND AMAZING NY STYLE, ITALIAN COOKIES!!!From Long Island, and this is only place I will go!I almost died when they told me $30 per pound for pignoli cookies...but everything else isn't as expensive.I'd try EVERYTHING if I could! It all looks so delicious!!“
“I order coffee from them online nearly every other month! Starbarn is one great espresso bean! 5lbs worth of coffee is great! Works great in our espresso machine. I've been buying their local coffee for over 7 years now! Always great quality! Love supporting a local store!“
“Love this spot. Great food, great coffee and great prices. Best place to get a quick breakfast, brunch or to get some work done with a good latte. They have a great setup inside with nice seating and large windows with lots of natural lighting. Highly recommend this place.“
“Being I’ve only lived 7 miles away from Lancaster all my life and thought I knew about every coffee roaster within 20 miles or so I just recently found out about Gerhart coffee. I took a chance and got their Peru single origin and long story short it’s very very good coffee indeed. I think I found my new go to roaster lol. Ty Adam for your assistance with my first visit and your suggestion with the Peru is extremely tasty to say the least see you guys soon☺️☺️“
“Laurie brought the food truck to our nursing home to offer their delicious food to our staff, residents, and local businesses as well as passerby’s. The food was so delicious, she sold out! Highly recommend for any events! Our favorites were the chicken and waffles, Mac & Cheese, as well as the soul rolls! Thank you Cafe 301!“
“I love this Starbucks. All of the employees are so friendly and courteous, and I especially love Debra. She goes the extra mile, making sure my drink is perfect. I drive past the Queen Street Starbucks forging the drive-thru to go to the Pauline Drive Starbucks in Giant on the weekends so I can have Debra make my frap. She is the best and I always appreciate her kindness.“
“I love Starbucks and this is located right in Giant, which makes it super convenient. I frequent here pretty much weekly and the baristas working are always friendly. Sometimes there is only one person working (meaning taking orders and making drinks), so wait times can be long, however it's worth it. I always feel bad because someone always has to be rude to them! Most Starbucks have super bitey coffee, not this one! I always order a venti iced coffee, only cream and it is always perfect! The taste is significantly better than other local Starbucks. I've literally thrown away other Starbucks coffee because of the taste, which always makes me upset. I've also ordered lattes here and again, very good! I haven't tried the food, but I'm not much for bakery items or pre-made breakfast sandwiches. However, that pumpkin loaf looks amazing when it's out. I will continue to go here, as it is usually where I stop to get groceries on my way home from work.“
“Went for breakfast and was seated right away. The hostess told us it would be about 15 minutes for us since she HD a large group in the bckroom. However, she would get us drinks. We were not in a hurry, and we were served great hot food quickly after we ordered.“
