“I have never been to another manhatten bagel and I don’t have to to know how good this bagel place is. The workers are the kindest and best people you will ever meet and treat you like family. I have only been going for about 2 months and they all know my order like it’s the back of their mind. I will never stop going to this manhatten bagel because of the unbelievably quick service, cheap prices, kind gestures, and most importantly insanely good food. I really do appreciate this bagel restaurant.“

I'm a New Yorker and I can tell you this is probably one of the best bagels I've ever had. I highly recommend the bagel sandwiches. I don't know what kind of magic they do with those eggs but they're light and fluffy and amazing. The California is also my favorite. These were so good that I took some home in my suitcase and put them in my freezer so now I have a fresh bagel every morning . Staff was super friendly and nice. Please come to New York City!!!“

“Just moved to this neighborhood. It’s near my building so I thought o should give it a try. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere of the place was warm and great. I chatted with some of the staff and regulars while waiting for my bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I received it promptly and it was delicious and perfectly prepared. I loved it and will definitely become a regular at this shining spot!“

“Came for the name “Schmear,” stayed for the bagels! As New York, New Jersey bagel connoisseurs, we were pleasantly surprised. GET YOUR BAGEL DOUBLE TOASTED! Hit this jawn up :) absolute fire!

Schmear exceeded expectation! “the Boss” bagel sandwich came with the Ketchup, salt, pepper, Taylor ham! A classic for a great price in the city! Bagel was crisp outside, with a nice chew inside. Slightly soft, breadier interior. Would’ve wanted a few more seeds on the everything egg bagel, but it packed good flavor and chew. Lots of selections, also enjoyed the blueberry with honey pecan cream cheese. Service was quick. Barista was friendly, and our dirty chai coffees were great.

Hash brown was alright for a $1.50 on the side. It didn’t seem homemade, but it was crispy nonetheless. Only minor complaint was they did give us an incorrect bagel. We ordered 1/2 a dozen online, and they switched one out by accident. So just check your online order before leaving!

3 outdoor tables and a few countertop seats inside. Overall recommend to go though!“

“I come here with my family pretty frequently on the weekends to get bagels and they're always delicious (our favorite is the everything bagel - it's so good). Did catering this morning for teacher's appreciation week and had a HUGE order - was frankly not going to be surprised if something went wrong, like something left out or for it to not be ready yet, but nope - it was a perfect experience. Everything was ready to go. They took a few extra seconds to grab the cream cheese since they had kept it refrigerated to ensure it was still cold, and everything was organized, ready to go, with nothing missing. “I've been coming to this spot for 25+ years since it was The Bagel Factory. Although it has changed hands a couple times and is now a Manhatty, the tradition of a solid breakfast sandwich spot continues. The staff/owners are very nice and appreciative of your business. The service is quick and I haven't experienced a long line yet. There's plenty of space inside to eat in as well.

The breakfast sandwich (BEC on Everything) is always consistent, isn't messy, and is fairly well-priced compared to the premium spots in the area (Spread and Up-Ryes). Good Everything bagel with salt - fresh cooked egg and solid bacon. Nothing worse than an Everything bagel that doesn't have salt.

I would go here over Spread 10/10 times. While Up-Ryes may be a higher quality sandwich, they are more expensive and it's good to switch things up once in a while.

Also Manhatty's Vanilla Hazelnut coffee is A+. Would recommend!“

The sandwich was ready within five minutes, which is probably why I accidentally left my wallet running out of there to get to my next meeting. Luckily, a employee from the store tracked me down about three City blocks away and gave it to me! You don’t usually see that kind of attentiveness and effort in Philly. The balance of egg, bagel, and cheese was excellent, and the cafe atmosphere would have been a great place to eat a Sammie if I wanted to. Overall a rock solid choice, and the prices were very reasonable too. Give them a try!“

“This cute coffee place was right across the street from our hotel. They honestly had the best lattes in Philly while we were visiting- so smooth and creamy. Our kids loved the French beignets, much different than New Orleans but so yummy. Their pastries were all so fresh. We highly recommend this place“

“I work up the road and we ordered for pick up for lunch and it was delicious! BLT’s can be tricky for takeout. The bread was toasted, fresh yet crunchy and delicious. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly with a good portion on the sandwich. The lettuce and tomato were also fresh and distributed evenly with the mayo. Served with fresh coleslaw and a pickle! My new favorite lunch spot!! Can’t wait to try the other menu items.“

“We came down to Temple from north Jersey to visit our daughter for her birthday and came here for breakfast…what a treat!! The bagel sandwiches were so good I felt like we were sitting home in Jersey eating these sandwiches…eggs and meat cooked perfectly AND the bagels were big and tasty!! “Lovely place with excellent service! I recently ordered “The Cure” through DoorDash, which includes egg, brisket, bacon, and cream cheese on a bagel. When my order arrived, I noticed the bacon was missing. I double-checked the menu to make sure I wasn’t mistaken, and at first I was disappointed since I had paid for the full sandwich.

I called and left a voicemail, not expecting much, but to my surprise, the manager returned my call and quickly made things right. She was incredibly kind and professional. The sandwich itself was delicious, and the way the situation was handled made me feel like a valued customer, even though it was my first time ordering from here.

“Unique selection of flavors not only in bagels but cream cheese. BUT they had my favorite (Asiago Cheese). I literally Googled for a shop with Asiago as the one by my hotel didn’t have it. I like mine “scooped out and double-toasted” and the bagel crew did a great job. Even putting plenty of cream cheese inside (I actually like “light” cheese so scraped off half of it. My husband would have loved to taken all of that extra if he’d been with me. My granddaughter had plain with strawberry cream and she said it was great! Friendly counter staff too. Highly recommend!“
