“The ice cream was great, and the menu was fun. I'm new to the community, and I can see how this is a staple in this area.
However, I do find it disappointing that the staff treated me and my friends rudely for simply wanting ice cream at 9:20 at night. Friendly service goes a long way, but I won't let this tarnish my thoughts on this place, for now. We've all been there in similar jobs; slap a smile on your face and do better.“

“Yummy! While on our June summer road trip with our kids, we were in the mood for something sweet and decided to try out The Meadows for their famous custard. We were not disappointed! The building is very welcoming from the outside. All painted with ice cream cones and Adirondack chairs sitting around. In the front, you have tables where you can sit outside and enjoy the air. Inside you have tables and chairs in a brightly painted, cheerful room. There is also a life-size connect 4 game where the kids can play. My son and I enjoyed a game while eating our custard. It was a busy day, but the workers did great. They were very friendly. We all went for the original vanilla and we’re very impressed. I loved my waffle cone! It was a very hot day and these definitely hit the spot! Highly recommend! Good for kids! Boosters and high chairs available. *Wheelchair accessible entrance, seating, parking lot and restroom. Offers eat in, take out that you can get through the drive-through window or the walk up window and delivery. Credit and debit cards accepted.“

“I check the weekly offerings and try to plan a trip when something sounds appealing. I will say that I have enjoyed 95% of the ones I tried. You can't go wrong with the semi-sweet chocolate chip. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. The orange creamsicle flavor was spot on. They recently had a peanut butter crisp cookie featuring Butterfinger. It tasted like the candy bar in cookie form.“

“First time experience at The Barnyard Coffee and Creamery today and it was excellent! Super friendly helpful staff and the ice cream was superb! My son got a vanilla shake and the kind woman whipped me up an espresso caramel vanilla shake. The perfect ending after a hot day at deer lakes park. Will definitely be returning in the future. (especially with it only being 3 min from the park) Highly recommend!“

Their outdoor seating area is nice, even though the place is next to a relatively busy intersection, but if that's too much, you can always head over to the Frick Park playground areas across the street!“

“I ordered a combo cake from this DQ for Billy & Elizabeth's Birthday, since nobody needs 2 cakes in a 3-day period - 1 is plenty! But I only had 30 letters to work with, so I went with "Happy Birthday Billy and Cupcake" - but I really wished for an exclamation point, so I added this note in the comments section "If you could squeeze an exclamation point as a 31st character onto the cake that would be amazing to "Happy Birthday Billy and Cupcake!" - but if not the cake will still be great, just less enthusiastic. LOL!!" So, when we picked up the cake I was curious if I'd get my bonus exclamation point or not, but I was legit thrilled to not just get 1, but I got 3, it made my day! Many thanks for the bonus free enthusiasm!😁🤣🥰🤩🥳“

“We discovered this place as we were walking in New Ken for the first time seeing what kinds of stores they had. We decided to come in the Lucky Duck, because it’s summer so why not have ice cream before noon . The moment you walk in the store you feel like a kid again with all the different kinds of candy to pick from and the smell of the fresh baked waffle cones . As soon as we walked in we were greeted! They have penn state creamery ice cream and I have never had that before so I orders the Death by Chocolate. Best ice cream I ever had ! The price is great for the amount of ice cream you get !“
