“1st time here. Stopped in for a beer and some wings on a Sunday late afternoon. Not very busy. The bartenders were very polite and accommodating. Wings were good and the beer was cold. Definitely will be stopping in again if in that neck of the woods.“
“We had a St. Patrick's day breakfast at 3 C's and it was wonderful. The service was excellent, and the food was great as always. I had a Western Omelette with cheese and home fries. The Omelette was filling and very tasty. It was full of peppers, ham, and onions and it was an good sized portion. The home fries are sliced potatoes with optional onions and they have an excellent flavor. Overall, all the food is great, the staff is festive and always dressed up for holidays and very friendly. Thanks 3 C's! We will be back!“
“My husband and I came to The Coldstream Kitchen located in the Second Mountain Rod and Gun Club unexpectedly. The ambiance is a traditional social club vibe with extremely nice members (you can go to the restaurant without being a member of the club).Maddox and Robin provided very prompt and extremely friendly service. They reviewed all the specials and made great recommendations.Since it was lent, we got Haddock with Mac and Cheese and the Crab Cake Sandwich. Both were extremely delicious! We shared dessert which was hands down one of the best local desserts we have ever had!!! The prices are very affordable and we will be returning, very soon.“
“Cracker Barrel is my comfort food place. It’s known for its southern country style, both in its decorations and food. It was a rainy day, but I was hungry. We got seated immediately, but it was still decently crowded- expect a wait around 6-6:30 pm. I tried the new Golden Carolina BBQ Tenders with steak fries. The BBQ sauce was perfectly tangy and paired well with the fries- needless to say, I finished it all. The atmosphere was nice and service was fast. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Of course, there’s more than just food. The gift shop has an assortment of mostly patriotic clothing and decorations and some signature sauces. Outside is a patio with checkerboards and rocking chairs that you can relax in while you wait to be seated. Cracker Barrel is always a consistent hit.“
“I usually have a great experience and delicious food here! But today I ordered Crabby Fries and oh my LORD were they salty. I genuinely love salty fries but this was SO MUCH its all I could taste, I could only eat about 3 bites out of the entire container.“
“We just had lunch there. The atmosphere was simply old world charm. One guest had the Turkey Rachel and he really enjoyed it. I had a burger and it tasted delicious and like it came off an outdoor grill. We were full so we took dessert home. The staff was very attentive and very pleasant. We will return“
“A hole in the wall restaurant but let me tell you! This is one of our FAVORITE breakfasts we have enjoyed in 2024 thus far. Its very small town charm meets GREAT food that is easy on the pocket book and satisfying. Our server (Debby) was such a hoot - she immediately knew every face in the place and made it a point to learn about us out-of-towners too.The bacon, pancakes, smoked sausage + omelets (bacon omelet + spinach and cheese) is what we ordered. Though the coffee was also nice and strong - not watered down by any means!Wish we were staying through Monday to get breakfast here one more time!“
“We have been to many restaurants in different neighboring countys, but this place tops them all.. the food was delicious ,the atmosphere was awesome, the service was great the prices were very good, kudos the the owner, and all the staff we will most definitely be back to enjoy more of our new favorite place for dinner thank you for such a great experience.“
“I’ve been going here for nearly 25 years. Recently was back in town and dined there with my kids and dad. I was happy to see that things had not changed, the food was as excellent as ever, as was the service. Next trip home we will definitely be back!“
“I had the best BLT in sourdough at Rumors last Sunday. The Cesar salad is also incredible. The atmosphere is clean, friendly and relaxed. The vibe is very much like your favorite neighborhood tavern, except the food is markedly better.Parking: There was plenty of park when I stopped in.“
“I had a great time seeing some live music here. Thank you for having live music on a Saturday night. Most of the places in the area have live music during the week and I don't go out during the week like that. So I really enjoyed being able to catch some live music on the weekend. Thanks Roman's!“
“Really good food and service. Got the southwest Chicken Cheese steak. The fries are great. I know it gets very busy on weekends so we went on a Thursday night. Prices are very fair. If you like having a variety of drinks, they have many moonshine combinations or straight up moonshine.“
“I love this restaurant and the service is amazing makes you feel right at home and my breakfast was delicious especially the smoked sausage yummy and I will always be back to get more delicious homemade food. God Bless and have a great day.“
“Enjoyed a meal here. I had called and made reservations and everything seemed unorganized. I spoke with several different people and finally one guy said he had me down. We arrived a few minutes early, walked in, and the waitress at the entrance seemed like she couldn't find our reservation anywhere. She scrambled and got us a table though. We waited quite a while before finally a waitress helped us. The rest of the time was great and food was very good.“
“Awesome experience with owner/bartender Kevin! Camping nearby & have become regulars. Only wish we lived closer! Fantastic food, drinks (great selection) with the best mojito to enjoy on a hot afternoon! Highly recommend crab stuffed mushrooms! Going back for Sunday breakfast tomorrow.“
“They serve my fave dish ? shrimp fra Diablo! I do believe there's only 1 other restaurant in Schuylkill county that serves it. Anyway the ? fra Diablo here is SPOT ON! DELICIOUS! I highly recommend if u like shrimp, spicy spaghetti sauce, and linguine u check this dish out on ur next trip to Fratellos. Also there antipasto salads are excellent as well. They have a LG variety of food to choose from on their menu. I will MOS DEFINITELY order from here again and again and well u get the idea“
“We were going for “fun and tasteful” for our wedding with great views and that’s exactly what we got! This is very long, but it’s all of the information I know I was looking for in reviews, from an August 2022 bride.Mountain Valley was the perfect venue for our wedding in August and we lucked out with perfect weather. MV had the gold chiavari chairs, great air conditioning, a beautiful ceremony view, a great rain option for the ceremony, good meal choices, large and beautiful bridal suite, the connection with the Comfort Inn down the road with shuttles, and we loved the view on the deck that overlooks one of the courses. We went with the chicken francese, filet mignon, and penne alla vodka with green beans and roasted potatoes. I would not have changed our meals, they were great! The chicken was not dry at all and I really appreciate that the green beans were definitely fresh and cooked perfectly. We had the former coordinator for the first 7 months of our planning. We found out she left and a lot of our details were not documented. This was very frustrating and scary, but coordinators change and it’s not the current staff’s fault. Make sure you get details in writing. With that said, Nancy and Shannon were great! Nancy honored many details such as our ceremony start time, rehearsal dinner (highly recommend!), and we did not get charged the sparkler fee because that was a new change after our contract. We had some odd preferences that Nancy and Shannon honored such as served coffee and cake and bar open during dinner (added fee). We had a few sober groomsmen and Nancy picked up on this at our rehearsal dinner. She offered them NA beers that they had left over from another event and even offered to go on her own time to pick up more NA beer for them for the wedding since we weren’t from the area so they had something to drink- thank you for taking care of our guys!! There was a wedding the night before, but you would never know, other than the smell of bleach in the morning when we walked in, which tells me it’s clean! Having shuttles and the ability for guests to leave their cars overnight if needed was really appreciated too for safety. A huge shout-out to Frank and Gorilla for driving everyone around and making sure our guests were safe!Hotel: We used the Comfort Inn & Suites down the road for our block and after party and it was great!Rehearsal/Dinner: Officiants can help with rehearsals, but ours was a friend. Nancy did a great job telling us what to do and when. It was so easy, we were good with one run-through. We booked the overlook pavilion for the rehearsal dinner with a tab bar. They had nice tables with tablecloths set up. The weather was warm, but breezy and the doors were open for a cross breeze that was so nice.Bridal suite: We had a shuttle in the morning to get ready. We got the continental breakfast and mimosas in the suite as well, which was very nice to have. Know your timeline and when you need to be downstairs for the shuttle. We also opted for a private cocktail hour after the ceremony in the bridal suite for all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen to go upstairs and have refreshments/drinks. This was a great time for everyone to cool off, grab some food, and freshen up before the grand entrances.Bar- We got the premium option and added the extra hour during dinner. We also got the outside bar. We really didn’t have a large wedding that would call for 2 bars, but it was so nice for guests to be able to go outside and relax instead of just sitting at their table or going back and forth. The outside bar will pull guests outside and possibly away from the dance floor, but I didn’t care. I danced all night and was so happy that we had so many guests enjoying themselves with the great views outside and the cool night breeze. Our guests have been raving about the ceremony view and the ability to relax outside at night and understood why we chose Mountain Valley for our wedding.“
“I love this place, it's my favorite bar! I stopped in to pay my respects to my favorite bartender of all time, the late Alby who passed away suddenly. I haven't been there in a long time and wanted to stop and have a drink and say hello.“
“Disappointed that the turnip greens were discontinued for being a southern inspired restaurant. Food tasted better at this location: less salty. Country fried pork chops are good, but it was hard to cut with the butter knife. Manager gave us complimentary dipping sauces, as we requested, to go with the Smokey Grilled Chicken.Ordered 2 take-home meals of Smokey grilled chicken for $5, which includes one piece of chicken & mashed potatoes. Will add my veggies, and another meal is ready. Will need to put in oven proof dish to warm up, as we do not use a microwave.“
“Local watering hole. Nice large bar area with limited non-bar seating. Definitely a drinker kind of crowd, not necessarily a dinner kind of place, although they do offer the typical bar fried types of food. There is pool table and an area outside for sitting. All in all, a pretty good place.Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible easily ...the main door has a step up ... however I think there is a door on the front of the building that might be accessible, however it's a smaller entrance“
“Hidden Gem! Best meal out I’ve had in quite a while. Definitely a must when passing through the area. Filling may be my new favorite food group ?. Add the chicken gravy and it’s completely addictive! The deserts are Wonderful! Our waitress was very friendly, courteous and helpful.“
“Was there for a mixer. Food was delicious. Waitresses/bartenders seemed to be running back and forth from the bar to somewhere else constantly. Not sure if they were getting drinks from another bar or just hanging in the kitchen but they were still pleasant. The restaurant/bar is broken up into several rooms. Kind of confusing where you were supposed to be. Upstairs has some games and a whiskey bar. Wouldn't have known about the bar until a worker passing by mentioned it (not staffed when we were there).“
“You know what....if you end up in Tamaqua and stop in you will not be disappointed! The most friendly owners, staff, and local flare. A+ (I went back for a second time and it was better than my first experience) They know what they're doing. Great spot“
“Amazing cheese steaks- very interesting combinations. Fantastic homemade sauces for wings and numerous other items. Ask for suggestions and recommendations Staff is very helpful and friendly. Spectacular atmosphere. Super entertainment. Always an enjoyable outing.“
“A great small town family restaurant! They catered our small event with sandwiches and salads, then cookies from the quaint bakery next door. The service was friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and well-presented. Very reasonably priced with generous portions.“
“Went with my whole family. Very accommodating for a group of seven adults and three kids under 10. We did call ahead though since they have limited seating. Standard Americana diner foods. Generous portions and inexpensive. Service is fine. Have an option of hash brown or home fries for most of the breakfast options (the hash browns seemed the better of the two ?)“
“Last night, my wife and I visited the restaurant for the first time, The food was awesome, the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. We didn’t stay for it, but they also had live music. I think we found a new favorite. Give it a try!“
“We ordered food for my husband's Christmas work party to be delivered We cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service and delivery. From beginning to end, we were treated with wonderful service. From ordering the food to delivery of the food! If you are looking for a event to be catered or just want to order delicious food.....this is your place! Thank you for taking very good care of us! Everyone in attendance raved about the food!“
“I may be a local and live near cousins, however, it’s by far one of the best bars to come relax and have a drink. I’ve come on many days, but by far the best days to come; Wednesday and Saturday. To start the bartender Mikailah, she will remember a face and a drink. I’d like to say in a picky drinker so for me that means a lot. But let’s stray from the bar, Kenzie the server, like mikailah will remember a face and a meal. So you’d like to come to a friendly bar and grill cousins is for you.“
“While house hunting in the area, we came across the Uptown Tavern and decided to pop in for some eats. It was a cozy place with a very mouth watering menu. The burgers we got were great, but the cheddar cheese jalapeño poppers were the best I've ever had to date (no exaggeration!). The owners were really down to earth people that were so cool to talk to. I'd love to go back some time, and if you're in the area, I highly recommend it!“
“I've been going to Pappys for a LONG time and we've always had a good time but it's impossible to talk to friends when there's a band. I would have given service a higher score because our waitress was awesome but everyone in my party got their food before I did and all I ordered was a quesadilla. They need a better cook.“
“Delicious cocktails, chopped sirloin, flounder stuffed with crab meat, lobster bisque, salad, cucumber salad, fries, tossed salad, everything was fantastic. It was my husband’s 80th birthday and he chose to go here. We had a wonderful celebration! Plus our waitress was fantastic.“
“Went here on a first date. It was a casual kind of first date and we basically just sat drink a little chatted. Got to know each other and that was pretty much it but I will say the server was really awesome and we actually didn't realize we were still sitting there as they were getting ready to close up. So will you appreciate them tolerating us? Just laughing and giggling like a bunch of fools.“
“Sometimes the most dive looking diners have the greatest service with the nicest people and the most delicious food. That is just what my husband and I experienced. No racism whatsoever we are we are a mixed couple in an area where there are not a lot of different cultures. In this diner we had no concerns with any problems of that which was a breath of fresh air. People were so nice and food was delicious and it's not the most updated place but it's clean and that's really what matters. Thank you Long Rn Diner we will go back!!“
“OMG! So. 51 years old. Born and raised and still living in Philly. We decided to take a random ride on the bike ANYWHERE new today to grab a bite. A random Google map search found Westy's. Took the longest way here. (2.5 hours) Because, you know, it's the ride not the destination. Well, today it's the destination! Still here as i write this! Had the BEST wings ever. Repeat. THE. BEST. WINGS. EVER. Period. JUST got my King burger. Can't wait! This place is a gem! 'nuff said.“
“I kept seeing posts on Facebbok of the food at The Wooden Keg. My husband and I wanted to give it a try for a while and finally had the opportunity to stop by. The food portions were large and also tasted great. We will be back to try more items on the menu. The crab dip was good but a little lacking on the crab. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $1.50 and get those pita points. We wanted to try a bunch of stuff, so we also took a lot home.“
“I stopped at the Brickhouse because I was heading out of town after an athletic event at the high school. I was very happy with the quality of the food, which was excellent! We had the Brisket tacos, Turkey Club, the Tumbleweed Burger, and a Cobb salad. Again, all top notch for an establishment of this type. Our server Heather was a gem; we loved her. Not a single complaint about this place, and I have no compunction about recommending it!“
