“I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! “My sweetheart and I went here on our second date. The original plan was to meet at Dead King Bread in Manyunk, and then hike in the Wissahickon. Dead King was closed, however, and my sweetheart quickly suggested Roma Cafe as an alternative. I'm ashamed to say that I never knew about this bakery. When I think of Italian bakeries, I typically think of South Philly. This is the real deal. An interior that harkens back to earlier times, and probably owners that harken back to an earlier time!

It was here that I discovered that my sweetheart is extravagant with treats, especially sweets. As a bit of a minimalst, I chose a rather bland biscuit. He chose an array of half a dozen treats, including canolies.

When we eventually made our way to the Wissahickon, we discovered that we had each packed more treats for the hike - cheese, grapes. He brought the most wonderful brie from Trader Joes that was as soft and gooey as if you had baked it in the oven. I noted with approval that he was equipped with a good picnic bag, as was I.

As we walked through the Wissahickon, I was captivated by his friendliness to everyone we passed on the trails, including the dogs.

Everything was delicious, and I appreciated that the canolis were petite in size!“

“The officially unofficial best boba spot in Chinatown. Reason why? They use fresh fruit for their boba. Nice cuts of mango or tea taro. Plus their bakery items are delicious.

Protip: this is one of only 3-4 of the Chinese bakeries in the area that do steamed meat buns. And in my opinion, the best tasting and bang for buck.

“Writing a review to say that this place has probably the best cake I've ever had: we got a taro cake yesterday and I've never seen our family almost eat an entire cake in one day-- two amazing portions/layers of taro filling and icing on top and in between layers. The icing is so good, it's not your usual store-bought icing: the perfect amount of vanilla and sugar. Will absolutely be back to try their other cakes as well as their breads/pastries. Service is friendly too, I made sure to tip. Thank you!“

“Really nice small local ice cream shop with about 12 flavors to choose from. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy and the price is fair for the amount you get. Limited seating inside and unfortunately no seating outside, probably because of the neighborhood.

The coffee is not bad, and the service is pretty good. It’s a cute little bakery with some small French bistro tables by the window and a couple of small booths on the other side. Stopped by today and got the cheesesteak with sauce and onions, and the buffalo chicken cheesesteak just to try it out. It was absolutely delicious! We have one more day in Philadelphia and will be going by first thing tomorrow morning for a couple more before we leave. If you have not tried them out, you need to make it a priority. So so good!“
