“Firstly, Ya'll getting 5 stars just for being OPEN AS ADVERTISED! I can eat collard greens everyday and usually I make my own but I was out and at work and decided to try to find some. This was the third establishment I went to based on Google but the first to be open on a Saturday. I am so glad this is where I spent my money because I was far from disappointment. They were the best greens I've had from an restaurant. I'm just mad I didn't get two. I wanted to come back Sunday! I will be back and intend to explore more of the menu.“
“Had an amazing experience at Kitchen & Kocktails! Cindy was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Every recommendation she gave us was delicious, and you can tell she genuinely cares about making sure her guests have a great experience.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and Cindy’s dedication and customer service made the experience even better. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. If you visit, definitely ask for Cindy—you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! ❤️🍽️✨“

“If you are in a hurry, this is NOT the place to go. However, if you want authentic, DELICIOUS SOUL food, this IS the place! Fried fish and chicken are on point! The greens, yams, string beans and potato salad taste like grandmom's. If you go after two, you won't be able to get the potato salad. Just a heads up! There's only one waitress and she's a Senior so don't expect fast. Friendly, clean and family oriented.“

“Samaiyah B. Cooking catered the American food for my wedding, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience! The food was absolutely phenomenal, so delicious that all of our guests were raving about it throughout the night.
I had enjoyed Samaiyah’s food before, so when I found out she did catering, I knew I had to have her for my wedding. From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional and efficient. She responded promptly to all my emails, provided clear pricing information, and even offered to arrange a tasting (which I didn’t need since I was already familiar with how amazing her food is!).
On the day of the wedding, Samaiyah and her team were right on time and completely professional. The food display was beautiful, and the quality was outstanding. What really stood out was her attentiveness, she checked in with me during the reception to ask if guests could have seconds and made sure everything was going smoothly.
The setup and breakdown were handled seamlessly and efficiently by her team. Everything was taken care of in a timely manner, which allowed me to actually enjoy my special day without any stress.
If you’re looking for a caterer who delivers both exceptional food quality and outstanding service, I highly recommend Samaiyah B. Cooking. She and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding memorable!“
“I’ve ordered banana pudding from LindaLicious for the second time today. It was absolutely scrumptious; rich and without it being too sweet. It’s an absolutely must-get for your holiday desserts!“

“I didn't get to taste the food because one of her workers had a bad attitude. When dealing with the public professionalism is a must. I could have referred a lot of people that don't know it's there. Your tea was very good and I hope your service gets better. A vegetarian platter would be nice also.“

“I really wanted to give 5 starts but when I got there I had to wait over a half our because only 1 person was working by themselves. He was trying his best but don't leave him alone again. Lol, got fish platter and was told the the price on the menu wasn't the same in person, smh. Side of potato salad was undercooked and exchanged for a $5 side of what was left of yams. I really should have gotten a discount or something added because there wasn't enough, smh. But I will definitely try again, maybe next time service will be better and things properly priced. Also when the lady finally got there, she fixed the issues but could have done better. But thank you anyway because the food was worth it!“

“great food best in philadelphia area. very professional“
“Love It!! Will be there soon!❤️“
“So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.
Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.
My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“

“Came to Philly for visit. A friend served us some food from Crafty Soul food. Damn that stuff was good. The next day I ordered the same meal of fish platter and shrimp platter with greens and Mac/cheese. Also got extra sweet potatoes. The only thing missing was cornbread. This place will be on the top of my list when visit again.“

“During a recent visit to Philadelphia, I stumbled upon a place that felt like a slice of home — Ol’ Boys Soul Food, tucked away at 5148 Locust Street in West Philly. From the moment I arrived the rich aroma of seasoned goodness and slow-cooked comfort filled the air.
Their Southern fried chicken was golden, crispy, and tender inside — just the way it should be. The fried whiting, tilapia, and shrimp were cooked with a master’s touch, flavorful and satisfying. Every side dish was a hit at my family’s table: baked mac and cheese oozing with cheesy perfection, collard greens and cabbage cooked just right, and potato salad that tasted like it came straight from a family reunion picnic. And that cornbread — moist, sweet, and buttery — tied the whole meal together.
The service was fast, friendly, and genuine, making the experience even better. In a city known for cheesesteaks and pretzels, Ol’ Boys brings something different — a soulful reminder that Southern cooking isn’t about fancy plates, but about heart, heritage, and flavor that lingers long after the last bite.“
