“Nice spot good vibes and music. The place was packed on a Friday night but my friend and I didn't wait long. Our waitress Sid was excellent and very accommodating. She had great recommendations and let us sample the frozen dousse cocktail. We had the catfish Mac and cheese, collard green dip and gumbo. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be coming back again.“

“Firstly, Ya'll getting 5 stars just for being OPEN AS ADVERTISED! I can eat collard greens everyday and usually I make my own but I was out and at work and decided to try to find some. This was the third establishment I went to based on Google but the first to be open on a Saturday. I am so glad this is where I spent my money because I was far from disappointment. They were the best greens I've had from an restaurant. I'm just mad I didn't get two. I wanted to come back Sunday! I will be back and intend to explore more of the menu.“

“This was our first time at Terrell's restaurant in Chester. When we walked in Lamar welcome us and was very pleasant. I had the cat fish with cabbage and candied Yams and it was amazing. Please try Terrell's in Chester, you will not be disappointed.

“Had sweet food cravings! Their cookies and cream ice cream, butter pecan ice cream, and vanilla cake were so delicious. Can’t wait to try more cake and ice cream flavors.

The food is delicious too! I’ve tried the wraps, chkn salad, and hoagies and highly recommend. Also tried both soups, “fish” stew, drumsticks, jerk chickpeas and curry chickpeas, and chkn with gravy which were DELICIOUS. favorite sides are cabbage, collard greens, and Mac n cheese.“

“If you are in a hurry, this is NOT the place to go. However, if you want authentic, DELICIOUS SOUL food, this IS the place! Fried fish and chicken are on point! The greens, yams, string beans and potato salad taste like grandmom's. If you go after two, you won't be able to get the potato salad. Just a heads up! There's only one waitress and she's a Senior so don't expect fast. Friendly, clean and family oriented.“

“We were visiting from our if state and found this place. The 3.9 starts were not making a lot of sense to me so we decided to try it anyway. The food was full of flavor, staff was amazing and the restaurant was clean.

“Came to Philly for visit. A friend served us some food from Crafty Soul food. Damn that stuff was good. The next day I ordered the same meal of fish platter and shrimp platter with greens and Mac/cheese. Also got extra sweet potatoes. The only thing missing was cornbread. “So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.

Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.

My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“

I stopped by D’s Café and ordered the fried chicken wings — and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I love flats, and they actually gave me the option to get all flats (major bonus points 👏🏽). They were fried to perfection — crispy on the outside, juicy inside.

The yams? Delicious! Sweet, smooth, and seasoned just right — wouldn’t change a thing. But that mac and cheese… whew! Over the top! The flavor was rich and creamy with just the right amount of cheese pull.

On top of the great food, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. You can tell they care about their customers.
