“Stumbled upon Albero Verde, when looking for a fine dining restaurant for our Anniversary that wasn't $50-100/ plate and was more accessible than downtown Pittsburgh....Albero Verde, did NOT disappoint. The owner and Chef, Anthony Pupo, introduced himself while delivering a small, unique tasting of a wonton with a twist. This small but mighty restaurant provided top notch service, an intimate dining experience, good music, the option of BYOB, and the FOOD was too die for. The wonderful waitress suggested that we split the Wedge salad, and I appreciated the suggestion as 1 was plenty for 2 people...but when she brought it out, they had plated it on 2 seperate plates for us, taking away the hassle of dividing the dish ourselves at the table. We then had the Octopus and Beans and Greens appetizers.... both delicious. For our main course, we had the Fran and Fudge (named after the Chef's grandparents) a HEALTHY sized bone in porkchop with brie and goat cheese pierogi and the Scallop and Langoustine Spaghetti... both excellent! For dessert we had the Pomegranate Semifreddo, a refreshing frozen yogurt and a mini chocolate cannoli. We will absolutely be back! Thank you, Chef, for a lovely and tasty evening.“

“Was here this past Saturday for a private gathering on the second floor. Did was very good, it was presented buffet style. Only negative I had was entrance was from the one side of the restaurant up a rather steep flight of stairs. I was curious what they did in the winter time to prevent people from slipping on the stairs and the rational of this as apposed to having a stairway from inside the restaurant. Other than that like I said the food was very good, full bar and the one waitress did a fantastic job.

Update, ate here last week for lunch and again tonight 9/19/24, I think this will be my new go to, closer to home and better menu and they are open till 11pm, the kitchen also closesat 11.“

“This was our first time here and the breakfast/lunch bar was open. it was phenominal. great quality of food, tons of choices in buffet style containers to keep it hot. Everything from made to order omlettes, waffles, sausage, salad, pot roast, mashed potatoes, tender breakfast potatoes. my husband said it was the best omlette he has ever had. he had the Irish Omlette. “I go to the Monongahela Eat'n Park for breakfast two or three mornings a week. Kim is usually the waitress opening each morning. She is always pleasant. She remembers everyone's beverage of choice we never have to wait. No matter how busy they are, my meal always arrives just as ordered and hot. There are other restaurant options in the area for breakfast but we always seem to gravitate to our Eat'n Park.“

“I had a great experience at this place! Even though they have been busy on Sunday evening, stuff did an amazing job. I was greeted with a smile by the host and my server was very friendly. The food came out quickly and it looked and tasted really good, I enjoyed my sandwich. But the star of my experience - dessert. The bun was warm and very fresh and the ice cream was soft. On the top of that my coffee cup was always full. Can you ask for more? I don't think so. I definitely made a good choice to stop here for my late dinner and left with a smile on my face“

On my last visit, I was most pleased with how the staff worked with a cranky guest at the table next to me. This man complained that the food was too cold and the plate was too hot and asked for the food to be sent back, but the server put him in his place with a sassy comeback. He then stormed out of the restaurant. The server didn’t seem too upset because both this man and his companion were annoying, the latter for talking on and on about unimportant topics such as her recent travels.“

I had to walk to a gas station to an ATM to get the cash. Besides that, the people that work in this place they are very polite and nice, they offer me coffee, and greet me properly. “I absolutely love this place. The people working there make it the best. They are so friendly and kind and nice to talk to. The food is phenomenal. Always served hot and fresh. The environment is nice, too. On one side, there are more intimate booths with ambient lighting, up front there's the bar area, on the other side, it's more open and well lit with bigger tables and various size seating areas, there is also a hibachi area!! The sushi was so good. The cocktails are also delicious! The cool itch is refreshing.“

“I hafta say this diner is amazing. We are out on a trip and needed to stop for lunch. Anyway the waitress was awesome I had the reuben w sweet potato fries and tea and everything was amazing. We are coming back next week for another trip and will stop here again. Next time I'm trying the Philly cheesesteak. A definite must try if you are in town. “Delaney was our server, a consummate professional! Have not been taken care of that well in a restaurant in quite some time! Excellent recommendations check back to see if needed anything additional and kept our eating area cleared off of useless dishes! Firebirds is a place to get a excellent meal! Prime rib was done to perfections and so was the steaks. Limited desserts but all were delicious and good in size, shareable. It is rather loud when mostly filled! Hard to hear people at your own table talking, the only reason I gave four stars for atmosphere.“
