“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!“

“If I could eat here every day of the week I would! First off they have the best wings around! (I am a wing snob). Their wait staff is always so friendly and accommodating. No matter what you are in the mood for they have it. Their specials are always something new and exciting. I always start off with a side salad with their homemade ranch. Also make sure to save room for dessert because they always have a great cheesecake on the menu!“

“Wendy the waitress was amazing. She did a fantastic job and was always there to serve our needs. The pasta on the menu was amazing as was all the sides we had. The only down side was that I wanted a Bolognaise pasta and Wendy told me that it was not on the menu, but they could make up a batch for me. First off, unlike the other pasta's on the menu that were amazing, the Bolognaise dish that the chef threw together for me was mediocre at best. Not to mention, I was charged $46 for the sauce and $3 for the noodles? For a plate of pasta that was not good at all. When all of the other dishes offered much more of a delicious pasta at half the cost. Long story short, don't order off the menu and you will enjoy this very much.“

“Took my mom here for dinner tonight after the recommendation of a friend. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots and she got the meatloaf. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and nice. We ended are meal with a piece of the baklava cheesecake (honestly the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had), before the check was even brought my mom was already making plans to bring her brother and his wife. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends highly recommend.“

“Let me start by saying they have great pizza and their hot wings were great! The place is small so it's kinda hard to get a seat. Their also located on a cobble stone which sucks to drive and park on BUT with all of that said, people keep going there because it's good food. Great group of guys working there as well.“

“We recently gave this place a try after hearing good thing and were blown away by the food and service.We had meatballs and ricotta, maple Brussels, pizza, and pasta.Their chef has a meticulous focus on quality and you can taste it in every bite of goodness.We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Awesome vibes and food! This place was spotlessly clean and well lit, everyone is incredibly friendly, service staff and even the cooks were so helpful, welcoming, and kind! We got homemade meatballs, zucchini tower, and homemade tiramisu and every single single was just to die for!!! Drinks were strong and cheap and the pool table is well taken care of!Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, bar in the front and laid back dining area in the back“

“Dined for lunch with a group of 14 ladies. Nikki was our server and was wonderful. . .fast, pleasant, just all around good. I like Spots and I like Frangelico; so, I tried the Frangelico Spots. Not saying they were bad, just not my cup of tea. Everyone was very pleased with the experience.“

“What a charming little shop! So much character in the space - a collected, homey feeling, with interesting fixtures, warm colors, and lots of sunlight. I ordered an americano and raspberry turnover and both were delightful! I love that they were served in real dishes instead of paper or plastic. The service was prompt and attentive! The seating is quaint but a little uncomfortable. Will definitely return next time I'm in the neighborhood.“

“Seriously, the best thing in our area. Donella our waitress was fantastic and kept us happy the whole meal. It was my birthday and i got to pick the restaurant. I was under pressure , as my friends can be a lot! They loved everything about this place. The homemade manicotti was the best I’ve ever eaten. Cannoli for dessert was exceptional! “Angela, is an angel. She was one of the most kind servers I have ever come across.They had a picture of a juicy cheeseburger out front which is what drew me in. It did not disappoint! It was so big I could barely finish.I am making this as one of my favorites ? you should too!“

“Honestly I keep thinking how dumb I've been to not have discovered this place sooner! I walked in within 2 minutes of them opening so I was the only one in the place. The waitresses and the owner all introduced themselves to me and asked my name. From that point on, they treated me like we had been friends for years. I had only wanted to try this place because I have heard the live music is great and the atmosphere is better, but when I got there, I was a bit hungry. I took a look at the menu and didn't see anything I would like but because they were so nice to me, I thought I would try the Italian hoagie. BEST DECISION EVER. I mean wow I can't stop thinking about how good it was. While I was waiting for my food to be made, I was looking at some of their upcoming events. They have an event called "Dingus Day" coming up and I wanted to know more. The owner came out and sat down next to me and started looking for videos on their tv. He found a clip of Anderson Cooper making fun of this dingus day and that's why he likes celebrating it. We walked YouTube videos for 15 minutes til my food was ready. I've never laughed or had so much fun with complete strangers in my life. I can't wait to go back and hang out with the people who made me feel like family from the second I walked in.“

“This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. They make custom menus with your name(s) for the occasion! The food is really good. GET THE MEATBALL APPETIZER! The vibes are immaculate in the old school building with old pulley ceiling fans.“

“Was looking for a new place to try and have heard great things. Called and spoke with Leah, explained that it was my first time and wanted to know what she recommended. Gave me recommendations. Decided to order the meatball hoagies and the pizza bread, both were great. I wish the meatballs had extra sauce, but I'll order extra next time.“

“Been eating at Armstrongs since I was in high school, 20+ years ago. It is the most remarkably consistent food, and delicious every time. You literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu…I’ve had most all of it over the years. Never, ever anything less than a delicious, filling meal.“

“I have had the good fortune to be a customer of Fioris for over 40 years! My ex husband worked at the Brookline location when he was a teenager and Fiori and Pepino were family friends. I have lived in several places and have tried hundreds of pizza shops in my lifetime and I can honestly say that nothing beats Fioris, not even Via Napoli at Walt Disney World! My personal recommendations are pepperoni pizza (they put the pepperoni under the cheese) and a meatball sub "my way" which simply means extra sauce and extra cheese. Thank you Fiori for coming to Pittsburgh from your beautiful country and gracing us with both your exceptional food and engaging personality...I fixa you up! ;)“

“This is by far, the best pizza and the best calzone I’ve ever tasted. The cheese to sauce ratio was impeccable. The crust was a perfect bit of crunchy around the crust. There was NOT a single bite of pizza that was soggy - and given the moisture of the cheese and sauce the pizza had, I was floored by how perfectly cooked it was.This place is CASH ONLY and although there is sorting available, it doesn’t seem like the type of place you want to sit down and eat. “Chef Eric and our server Mike were fantastic! Our large group was able to enjoy a delicious business dinner in a timely fashion. Apps, entrees, and dessert were absolutely incredible! The Cesar salad was perfectly composed, they make their own mozzarella, and the specials are on point! You could taste the love and passion that created each dish. It was so nice that Chef Eric came out to meet us and personally described some of the dishes to us.The owner was a little unprofessional about an accommodation we needed, but the food and other staff made up for it, so I would still highly recommend this establishment.Dietary restrictions: Chef Eric did a great job accommodating a gluten friendly appetizer and entree.“

“We had a funeral brunch upstairs in the private dining room. Everything was great. The staff was pleasant and efficient. We had the Cod, Breaded chicken breast, White rice, Stuffed shells with sauce, salad, and rolls with chocolate cake with coffee at the end. Food was plentiful, delicious and very satisfying. A pleasant ending.“

“They make really good sandwiches. I had the Italian sub. The bread was soft and chewy and the fillings were tasty. I will probably go extra meat next time just because it tasted so good. My wife had the fish sandwich. This was no little fish sandwich! The filet of fish hung out a good 3 inches in each side of the bun. It's a plain sandwich with just the fish, but it was light and flakey (you can add cheese, tartar or ketchup. I would definitely recommend it.“

“Get the gnocchi in red sauce - trust me. Hand made fluffy pillows of goodness. The salad is also amazing. Love their house dressing (even bought some to-go to take home and use on my own salads) can’t recommend this place enough. Risotto ball appetizer is really good too.“

“We tried this place for the first time last month and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We didn't have a reservation but they sat us in the bar area so I guess I would most likely make a reservation next time . I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was huge ! Also very good . “We tried Antonio’s for the first time tonight. We ordered a deep dish pizza with pepperoni and the general tso’s chicken pizza. Both pizzas looked and tasted amazing. I don’t find many places that put fried chicken on pizza, so I appreciate the unique menu items. This style and quality of food is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back.“

“Come for the tasty pasta, stay for the excellent service and homey vibes.My boyfriend and I love places like this. We live just down the block, and really, there isn't enough local eats that still feel a bit dressed up, even though casual wear is appropriate. We've gone twice now, and both times, our servers have been lovely. On our latest date on Thursday, our server was there to greet us and ask about beverages not a minute after we sat down. She was super attentive, very fast, and a total sweetheart. The food has some hits, but it's all up to preference. I love the cheese ravioli. My boyfriend had the steak hoagie and we both agreed that while the steak was perfectly cooked, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side for us. That said, it was well made and presented, and we still left with full bellies. Carbonara's is fast becoming a regular date spot for us, and I haven't been disappointed yet. And those portion sizes? Perfect for work lunch leftovers! Yum!“

“I read some good reviews about this place, so I stopped in for carry-out for lunch on a Monday. The folks working there were GREAT! Really friendly and they explained how they make much of their food. I was tempted by their chicken tenders, so I asked if they used frozen chicken tenders and they not only said “no” and explained how they made them, they just happened to be making a batch of fresh tenders and showed me the fresh chicken breasts they use to make them. I ordered their Nashville Hot tenders and they were AMAZING! The breading was very light and flavorful and the dry Nashville Hot seasoning was spicy… very tasty!!I also got their Deluxe Italian sub, half size and it was excellent! Very fresh ingredients and the sub came together great… Very Nice!!This place is carry-out only, but they do deliver and they do prepare food rather quickly. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely return!!“

“I went to Anthony's for pizza but ended up ordering something else. The "pick two" offer caught my eye and was an outstanding choice. I had the chopped salad that had interesting ingredients, including pepperoni, and the server honored my request to remove the olives and replace the gorgonzola cheese with mozzarella. And it WAS chopped, which was great, because you don't have to wrestle with trying to fit large pieces in your mouth, or fuss with a knife.I also had a chicken sandwich on focaccia, but brought half of it home because the salad was more than enough. Both choices were so good; maybe next time I'll actually order the pizza!“

“Super great food and the staff is all so friendly!! Amber was the best waitress. We got the meatball appetizer with mozzarella, peppers, onions and sausage, so so good! I wish they always had it on the menu. Also got the scalo pasta with penne and the veal parmesan. Definitely call and make reservations. “Breakfast critic: 2nd best place to eat around here outside of my own kitchen! First visit and I am hooked. Wedding soup was so close to moms recipe I almost cried. Omelet was phenomenal. If I could have given them a 10 they would have got it. Highly recommend!!!! Can't wait to come back to try the dinner menu. Been to a lot of places for breakfast and this one takes the cake. And that banana creme pie is calling. Do yourself a favor and stop in sooner than later.“

“Been a customer for a year now since me and my girlfriend moved to South Park... We absolutely love this place! This is our go to take-out place for pizza, wedgies, fries, and fried Zucchini! Food is delicious and their marinara sauce is top notch!“
