“Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. This is the kind of unassuming, tucked-away spot you might easily pass by, but once you step inside, you realize you’ve found something truly special.

We began with the best fried cheese—crispy, perfectly cooked, and paired with an amazing sauce. The homemade pasta truly sets this place apart; you can taste the care and quality in every bite.

Our table ordered a variety of dishes and every single one was superb. The lobster roll and lobster Alfredo were loaded with thick, succulent pieces of lobster, not skimpy at all. The chicken and pasta and the seafood pasta were just as incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

The desserts were the perfect finale, with delicious cakes that had us scraping our plates. Service was prompt, friendly, and genuinely warm, making the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed.

My family was raving about this meal the entire ride home. A true hidden gem that delivers incredible food and heartfelt hospitality. We cannot wait to come back.“

“For six years I have been looking for a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh since my old favorite one closed. I have never found a place that had the perfect food and atmosphere I was looking for until I entered Lilith last night. Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. The service from being greeted to the absolutely awesome server we had was excellent! The food had a wow factor rarely found in Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a huge fan of how vegetables are cooked most places and the veggies in my dish just blew things out of the water. You could tell they were fresh and local too. The fish I had was just amazing. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Needless to say I will be back again and again now to experience more culinary delights!“

They also have one of the best beer lists in the area. I love being able to grab an IPA, lager or imperial stout all in one place. You can also grab beer to go here as well. “We went on a Friday during lent because we'd heard the fish was delicious. We were not disappointed. $19 for a piece of fish that was bigger than the plate, and it was not just breading with a tiny sliver of fish inside, plus a salad, plus bread & butter, plus your choice of potato. I couldn't eat it all! It was all served hot and freshly cooked with homemade ranch dressing and homemade tartar sauce.“

I was able to get my dad, daughter, wife and brother to all come for breakfast and it was fantastic. Cash only, but it's always very affordable, timely and tasty. Bre, the waitress is the best.“

“Love the food. Had the chicken Parmesan half hoagie last night with fries. I get a side of their hot sauce to dip my fries in. It is very spicy and most people probably can’t handle it but it is one of my favorite sauces and I always get it for tenders or fries.

Bri is the best bartender, Gwyn is a close 2nd and the owners are so friendly. Love it!“

“Best wings place in the area, bar none. The original wings are awesome, but I also like Jamaican jerk. Big meaty juicy wings with the best seasoning. Everyone knows Burrell Inn is the best.It's connected to a bar so you get some cigarette smell, but still worth it.This last time we ate outside in the little courtyard. It's cozy out there and fun. Plus you avoid the bar smoke.If you're looking for the best chicken wings, look no farther.You won't leave hungry.“

I live about 4 hours away and was here on business staying at the Comfort Inn (attached). “Was in a real predicament when caterer for daughters wedding did not show up, these folks did not hesitate when I called to provide me as much as they could quickly. The chicken was delicious, the guests said they were glad the other place did not show up😁they truly helped me salvage the night. Class act and awesome food.“

No problems with the food, the service was good. There were several schools there, so kinda hectic, but other than that, it was very good, and it's right when you enter the zoo.

My order arrived exactly as I ordered it and they didn't miss any of the sides. They have a huge selection of desserts and I got the sweet potato pie, it tastes like my 95 yr old grandma from Tennessee made it! Get the homemade healthy green tea drink, you won't be disappointed! “We visited Cornerstone for Brunch. I had an omelette with leeks and asparagus and a white sangria. The food and drinks are really good here. Expertly crafted with great nuances of flavor.
Cornerstone is a bit overpriced for portion size but not extremely.
The service here is lacking for me. There is just a snobbish aura from the staff who only seem particularly interested in their regular, repeat customers. New customers seem to be treated with covert flippancy. Therefore, I probably won't be back unfortunately.“

“We ate here tonight and the service was amazing. Bri or Bria was our waitress and she was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. There were about 16 of us all together and she took really good care of us. Constantly kept an eye on our drinks. We never had to ask for a refill. She was always smiling and even sang happy birthday to my special needs niece who we were there for celebrating. We all hung out for a while after we ate and never felt rushed which is what I really liked. Thank you for the wonderful service and great food. We spun the cool wheel for my nieces birthday for a prize.“

“I usually love eating here and understand that it gets very busy. However, they do not run reservations well. I checked in 30 minutes after making my reservation. My quoted time was 40 to 55 minutes. We waited an additional 30 to be told that I wasn't checked in properly. Waited a total of an hour and 20 minutes and still was not seated.“

“the facilities are great, museum carriage House gift Center conservatory Clayton tours. don't waste your time at the cafe. did not feel welcome there too many policies that are inhospitable. policies that are not welcoming. also the manager is rude and Ben's the policy rules for certain people in certain groups. also don't believe the menu they post I thought the menu you'll get when you go in. it's a little overpriced for what's offered. the food is fairly average nothing outstanding it can't be made in your kitchen. plan to go to the property do the tours and museum and then you'll find better restaurants more hospitable off property in the area.“

What once felt warm and inviting has become cold and unprofessional through eye-rolling, dismissive responses, and careless service. Respect should never depend on how often someone visits, who they are, or what they look like — professionalism is the standard, not the exception. As patrons, we notice the small things — tone, body language, and how we are treated when we walk through the door. Establishments should remember that every guest is observing, every interaction matters, and every moment reflects the character of the business. My hope is simple: that businesses remain mindful of how staff attitudes shape the entire experience. I run hot and this was too cold for me! End of July and it must've been 60°F-65°F in there!“

“My son and I had dinner for Mother’s Day. Our first experience at this restaurant. Aside from a small miscommunication where the side dishes were delivered to the table alongside the apps, everything was very good. They corrected the sides and delivered fresh with the entrees, the sides were easily large enough to share amongst three or four people and the food was very good. The app, sides and entrees, as well as the gluten free chocolate cake were all delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to return.“
