“Alta Via is definitely a favorite place of mine now. Tonight was my third time coming, and our server Eddie was absolutely amazing. He saved our night! (We had a horrible experience at another resturaunt, so we left and came to Alta Via in Market Square!) He was so attentive to our needs and really went above and beyond! “Phenomenal restaurant with staff to match the vibe. Everyone here is super friendly, and even the staff that are new seem to hit the mark without jeopardizing customer satisfaction. I would like to mention that I had a large party of 13 people. We did not demand to be seated together (because that would be ridiculous) but did have a specific time we would like to be seated. I had arrived an hour early to check in, and the staff were more than reasonable to accommodate us. The service we received was fast and friendly despite the obviously heavy load on the servers at the time. My table had a newer server, but he was still very skilled and accommodating. I will be returning often. I love this First Watch!“

“I sometimes have a hard time finding this little neighborhood bar. It's a gem. I feel like it's kind of like a phantom bar that phases in and out of existence, like something out of Brigadoon. It defines the word 'cozy'. The food went from reheated pizza to (now) very respectable bar food. It's always chill here, and the prices are right. Bar staff are consistently friendly.It's good that this place is hard to find. It's for locals, and people that know how to behave in bars. If you can't respect that, you shouldn't go.“

“Dad’s Pub & Grub in Monroeville! Was out at Monroeville Mall with a friend and we were looking for some good food and stumbled upon this gem!! Seen it had good reviews and the food looked awesome and the reviews/pics definitely did NOT disappoint. Started out with chicken tenders with a dry rub & ranch for dipping. Then for our meals I got a Cuban & my friend got the mushroom Swiss burger, both with fresh cut fries. The Cuban was amazing!! And one of the biggest I’ve ever had. I really liked the mustard sauce. The fresh cut fries were delicious too. The mushroom Swiss burger was delicious and absolutely giant for the price of $11!!!!! (I believe the Cuban was also $11) And that price INCLUDES the fries. We also split a side of Mac and cheese which was pretty good! Had a nice flavor and the sauce was nice & creamy. I also had a delicious cocktail but can’t remember the name. It had Tanqueray gin, lavender/chamomile infused simple syrup & fresh lemon juice. Deliciousness all around and such good prices!! 5 stars 10/10 highly recommend!!“

You can choose what base from any of the available flavors that day and add toppings!! Usually most places do vanilla as the base.Previously, I got an Extreme with a Butter Pecan base mixed with Oreo and cookie dough pieces. That was unusual and tasty, but I also highly recommend adding their new brownie cookie dough bites! That really adds something extra. Definitely got my fried fish fix (5 out of 5). If were to provide any critique maybe the bun could have been toasted a bit more to hold up to the condiments - however, while a bit challenging to manage eating like a sandwich, entire time I was eating the sandwich I had a big smile on my face. The menu was a specialized menu with a bunch of customer recommended #1s, it was very hard to choose what meals we would be selecting off the menu due to the whole menu was packed with excellent dinner choices. I settled for the Meatloaf special off the house special board (Amazing), and my wife chose the Chicken Picata (Amazing), these are two of most recommended dinner choices by the house and a few friends of ours. We both ordered the House Merlot with dinner which was a good choice on our part (perfect) along with the wine the house places a large flip top bottle of ice cold water on your table for you to drink at your will. Paired with our meals were a side of mashed potatoes and cooked carrots with a side salad (all were perfect). If all of this amazing meal wasn't enough, we had to order the Zattola homemade ice cream over the house made brownie for dessert... everything was way to good to not finish... We left this place absolutely stuffed, and pleasantly pleased with our experience... one side note I would have to say if you chose to go there, please have a conversation with your servers and staff, we spoke to an older gentlemen who I still don't believe he is in his 70s, he was one the most kind, and personable staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant, he made us feel like family and like he knew us for ever, he stated how the food is prepared and the history of the recipes, you could tell he absolutely loves this place along with the owners and he firmly believes in the quality this place provides. The food was definitely enough for us to go back, but just having the small interactions with the gentleman makes me feel that we will absolutely go back... Im sure anyone who has been to this place and has interacted with this gentlemen could probably attest to what I'm saying, as he spoke to everyone... the world needs more people like him in it!!! Ambiance here is really nice, most of the dining area is outdoors (watch out for lantern flies). Our waiter was great, very attentive and friendly. They have a great cocktail list. Not a fan of the dry rubs but this wasn’t bad… Th e pizza was burnt on the edges but it’s their style but it was still good. Had spinach artichoke dip and it was great! Got a chopped salad also and it was delicious! Recommend both! So overall food was good. Service- excellent! He kept an eye on us and checked often if needed anything!
