“My experience with Lancaster Pie & Coffee began before even entering. My husband and I were reading the sign and then when we finally headed in the owner was there opening the door for us, because he saw my husband was using a cane. Once we were inside we were met with the prettiest cafe, local art to peruse, the incredible smell of pie and the warmest smile from the woman behind the bar / register. The vibes were top notch. So what about the pie? If you call yourself a pie place the pie should be, at least- good. Well, the pie is actually quite amazing. We tried the apple, blueberry and the lemon. The lemon was the showstopper, but all three were spectacular. It felt like coming home and home is perfect and has great pie. Their hot chocolate was good and included rustic homemade marshmallows. The tea selection was fantastic. One of my favorite things (and there were many from my experience), was the quiche. I've tried the quiche in just about every establishment in downtown Lancaster that offers it- none compare to the quiche here. I ordered the Swiss mushroom and it was a revelation. I feel bad for all of the other quiche makers everywhere else. So far behind..... Overall, I was immediately love stricken with the business. They deliver on every level. And the kindness and charm of the employees, owner and hostess must not be diminished. I have a handful of businesses in downtown Lancaster I order from or frequent quite a bit and the owners who are always there are rarely ever friendly or chatty, which is fine, but I wish there was more friendliness. Pie & Coffee has amazing food, fantastic pies and beverages and then the staff is so welcoming and sweet. It's all the things.“
“I recently tried Rachel's Cafe and had the California Chicken Crepe and the Strawberry Crepe. Both were delicious! The California Chicken Crepe had tender chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy sauce, all wrapped in a delicate crepe. The Strawberry Crepe was sweet and bursting with fresh flavor. The service was great, and the prices were even better, low price for sure. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal or sweet treat.“
“Well OMG Becky, did you get a chance to stop in at this bakery? A little off the beaten path, but Becky, delish! The Apple Turnover was to die for AMIRIGHT? Coffee was tasty, but I have to admit that the quiche would have been better had I taken it home and heated it up just a bit. (I couldn't wait that long) The bread looked delish and the service was great too. Please and Thank You.(Even Ron Swanson would have appreciated it...maybe.)“
“This place is a gem, my husband and I have been coming here with our two under two. The food is amazing, I'm vegan so I always get the delicious crispy falafel or falafel pita. Everything on the menu is very clear on what's vegan. The hummus is great too, pitas delicious and warm.My husband who isn't vegan enjoys the beef gyro and says it's flavorful and gets it everytime. We also ordered the chicken bites for kids and ours gobble them up.Check out this spot, it's nice and quiet for us but wouldn't mind to see more folks and kids. There's a nice play area for little kiddos to entertain themselves. If you're getting take out ask for the veggies on the side so they don't get too wilted with the heat of the protein.Dietary restrictions: I'm vegan, check out the falafel and pita- so good.Kid-friendliness: Clean play area for kids.“
“I grabbed breakfast here yesterday and have to say this is quite the hidden gem. The building and decor are so cozy and made me feel right at home. The owners have a dog who runs around the property and was just the sweetest thing, making the trip even more fun. I ordered a vanilla latte, which was good and had a strong espresso. I also ordered a brick house omelet to eat. Unfortunately it seemed like my omelet was forgotten about because they were in the middle of a rush, so I asked for it after 30 min. They then got it out quickly and it was delicious- filled with sausage, bacon, peppers, onions, and cheese. It was so big and came with toast, so I was stuffed by the time I was finished. Other than the service snafu, I really liked this cafe!“
“These are the best donuts we've ever had and we're foodies. They're like a delicious mix between a croissant and donut. Literally want them every day and so glad we have such a delicious local donut shop. The atmosphere and decor inside is so cute also.“
“This is a cool cafe that has a unique feel to it and offers great food/drinks. The food here is pricey, but is quality at the same time so you do kind of pay for what you're getting. The coffee is great! The espresso is balanced and you can tell their baristas know what they are doing. I great place to stop if you're traveling through Strasburg!“
“Has decaf on tap rather than only espresso like other places, which is nice. They sometimes burn their coffee and somehow always run out of cream, though.Edit: I moved to tea, so these concerns don't apply anymore! 5 stars, good earl grey“
“Pretty sweet coffee shop in downtown Lancaster. Coffee is good and the food was ok. I ordered a savory pastry that could have been warmed up but I was not offered that option. Be wary digital nomads, there is no Wifi offered at this shop, despite the name and numerous outlets under the seats.“
“The Bolo was the bessssssst breakfast sandwhich I’ve ever eaten. Might try on a different bagel next time- ordered on salt and probably would be better on everything or sesame considering bologna is already so salty. Also had walnut/fig cream cheese on cinnamon raisin which was also perfect. Coffee also tasted super fresh and artisanal for a regular drip?? All around superb.“
“It has the ice cream shop vibe that we all remember from our childhood, at least I do. It's a pleasant wait in a calming environment, it's fun to watch them work, even if it's not my order. It tastes great, and is so creamy. This place rocks.“
“OMG !!! Such amazing cupcakes!!! We bought 6 and received a discount for each cupcake. Every cupcake we bought was absolutely delicious!! Staff was so helpful. Iced coffee was delicious. Best cupcakes I have ever had . !!! Must go and visit this place !!!“
“Been frequenting both locations for a year and a half. Even when I’m not getting a coffee, I’ll grab a bag of their whole beans for my home setup (minor bias I’m a fan of coffee in general)Pricing is on the higher side but the quality is there; They set the gold standard for a great cup of coffee. Treat yourself! Also those vegan chocolate chip cookies are excellent“
“this is by far our favorite coffee spot to come too on the weekends!! such friendly employees, coffee is always soo good and their lotus drinks are a fun tasty drink to have as well!the little notes they leave on your coffee will definitely brighten up your day!highly recommend if you’re in the area !“
“I’ve eating their ice cream for a few years which has always been fantastic but yesterday I tried the soup for the first time and oh my goodness, it’s amazing! This will be my go to place for soup from now on.Dietary restrictions: Soup was gluten free.“
“Consistently good coffee. Good variety of drip coffee and espresso based drinks, and a good selection of teas. There is a small offering of food and pastries. Including a couple of vegan options. There is a variety of coffee beans for sale.Staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. It is a nice environment to sit down and work but the tables are not large so no space to spread out.I love coming here every time I’m in the area!“
“Went for a February Saturday morning right when they opened. The staff was friendly and the food and coffee were delicious. We got the shakshouka for 2. Food took about 20 minutes, but that was probably because they were just opening. I would definitely go back. Also great ambiance inside.“
“Came here on Labor Day at 12:30pm (thanks for being open!) There were a lot of people working on their computers I would assume from the surrounding college. We were fortunate enough to find some seating outside, while there were space inside, everyone kind of seemed in grind mode. Service was pretty straightforward for coffee shop. The aesthetic is very hipster coffee shop vibes and decor is admirable. They do not make their own syrups however, I do believe they make their little snack choices (vegan cakes and snack stuff) in house. There seem to be a lot of coffee bean choices and some yummy drink specials. I chose the cappuccino at first but was given a 12 oz latte like drink that was too exciting. The espresso didn’t really carry through my choice of milk: oat (although I did ask for whole milk-no biggie though.) I later purchased a cup with peanut brittle syrup and ice to make an iced latte. The flavor of the syrup was a nice addition and carried the coffee. My friends caramel iced coffee was average. Good coffee flavor but not too aggressive and on borderline of water-like in my opinion. I was appreciative of the condiment bar they had for the coffee including simple syrup. The coffee cake my friend got was a little underwhelming and dry, but the vegan blueberry coffee cake with pecans was quite delicious and flavorful. I received it cold in wrapped in saran wrap, so it’s most definitely a great workplace/take out coffee shop. Would be a pleasant place to return to. Thanks guys :)One double shot cappuccino with oat milk, and a blueberry vegan pecan cake thing came to 11 dollars.“
“Super kind employees, amazing lattes, and food thats almost always worth it. There's nothing bad I could say about this cafe even if I wanted to! Its definetley stop by and try it out.I'd personally recommend one of their paninis alongside an Iced Sweater Weather[Maple & Dirty Chai w cinnamon]“
“AMAZING PLACE!!! MORE AMAZING PEOPLE!!! I am a tour operator and had a group at Tanger Outlet Lancaster. Long and the short... I had a client in need of seat, and an outlet for his portable O2 in a standing room only Butter & Bean. So, one of the staff hears my plea for help and Jessie, the owner comes out. She makes arrangements for not only a seat near an outlet but grabs an extension cord to allow for some movement. The patrons in the entire cafe made way for Jessie and my client. I ask if we can just chill for an hour or so, till he gets charged up and she wouldn't hear of it. "Stay as long as you need to", she said. So, I bought my client a coffee and a sandwich, which was amazing, bought some coffees for those that made space for him, and invited the entire bus group to join us and support Butter and Bean. And we sure did. The food and coffee were great, but the spirit, the vibe and the whole experience I needed to share. Oh, did I mention it was Black Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1230p!!! Who does that??? Well, Butter and Bean does! So, get great coffee and really good eats, and support a business that we will proudly support in every way.“
“Super friendly. We were greeted upon entering and showed a menu. Tried the butter latte (delicious!) which was perfectly prepared. Chocolate croissant was divine. Pistachio macaron was oh so lovely, as was the dark chocolate lavender one. Great little coffee shop with welcoming staff. Honestly, we didn't find what we were looking for while shopping at Tanger outlets, but this coffee shop saved our trip and brightened our day!“
“After being addicted to Dunkin' Donuts coffee for decades, I discovered Lancaster County Coffee Roasters at a local store. This is by far the best coffee I have ever had. I'm thoroughly addicted to Ross Street roast with Market House a close second. Do yourself a favor, go on their website and check out all their different coffees and buy some. You will enjoy superb coffee at reasonable prices.“
“Traveled all around for work and had coffee in many states and countries. This is the best of them all. I love making a stop here every time when I come home to see my sister. A must try for anyone in PA or passing through. Wasting your time any where else.“
“So happy we found this breakfast place! Tons of gluten free options for breakfast. Beautiful atmosphere. Wooden elements and tables nicely contrast with the concrete floor. Very clean. Great drive through pick-up. 3 young employees keep the place and orders running smoothly.“
“I love this shop. I have been there many times. The donuts are always fresh and made to order. Today I got the spooky box. Nobody likes coconut in our house so we substituted one donut out and it was no problem at all. Customer service was great. The girl at the counter was friendly. She made the donuts quickly. The donuts are delicious as always! Return customer and will return in the future“
“Was not expecting baked oatmeal, bagels, and treats from the local Ric's Breads bakery at this two-track train station! Service was quick and friendly. The drip coffee I got from their carafes was pretty good, hot, a few options available. And there are even a few tables outside, or you can sit on one of the lovely wooden benches as the morning light streams in from the windows of a lovely, clean train station. Love that this cafe is here now!“
“I really drove up for a Chai Tea and a White Chocolate Hot drinks. I enjoyed these two drinks often. Unfortunately these two didn't survive the way home. The cups were defective and leaked. Unfortunately the bag tore when I reached my destination. No drinks but one hot mess. I called the restaurant and left the manager know and she graciously offered to replace. Excellent customer service by far!Parking: In front of store are approximately 10+ spaces shared with the other store.“
“I'm not one to finish my food when dining out, but Kung Fu Tea's popcorn chicken had me licking my fingers! It was so yummy, and the fact that I could request less salt made it even better. And don't get me started on the honey black tea – it was absolutely perfect! To top it off, the service was super fast and the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommended this place for a delightful treat!“
“Food was great and a welcome alternative to the offerings at the hotel we stayed at, which was just a stone’s throw away. Cute walk-up window and benches for sitting on the sidewalk. We came at a good time on a Sunday, but a line formed soon after us and there was a a bit of a wait. Don’t go if you’re in a rush.“
“Got in town and needed a birthday cake at the last minute for my Mom. Geneva Bakery came thur with a brilliant, beautiful and delicious cake. Live in California now but Geneva is my go to for cakes and pastries when I'm in back Lancaster. Thanks Linda!“
“I was in the area to work the Lancaster Tattoo and Art Festival. I stopped here over the weekend with my boyfriend. I had the street corn hash for breakfast and OH MY GOD. I can see how they needed to keep it on the menu. It was absolutely delicious. I wish I had one of these shops closer to home. The Chai is to die for as well. Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I hope to come back sometime soon!“
“We did to-go coffee. Waited about 5 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and quick to great us. It was charming and cozy inside. My wife ordered a mocha which she said was quite good.Parking: Free parking lot in shopping complex, very short walk.Wheelchair accessibility: curb cuts in sidewalk with no stairs to entrance. Wide enough doors.“
“Seriously one of the most breathtaking coffee shops you’ll see , a fireplace , greenery and you can see through a window of the coffee roaster they use! The coffee was good , could’ve been a little stronger but that’s a personal opinion! Their pastries and food were straight up delicious! It’s a cozy environment for sure , so be prepared to stay there longer than you should!“
“So we arrived at the diner about 10:30 AM, and it was still incredibly busy. So I was very much enthused by that fact because busy typically means good. We were greeted promptly and shown to a booth. It was kind of like controlled chaos, and the sense that people were leaving. People are coming in waiters and waitresses are moving food around which is very much a diner atmosphere. So my wife ordered a meal and I forgot the name of the meal but where everything‘s mixed together and it was covered with cheese and it literally was a mountain of cheddar cheese covering it. Not only did she enjoy the meal there, but she brought it home and had it for dinner last night, and still has more left over. So I had a tomato basil mozzarella omelette with tater tots and side of turkey sausage. So everything came quickly and everything was delicious. The omelette was fantastic. You could taste the fresh basil in it and the tater tots were hot and crispy. I ate half of it and took half home. The turkey sausage was good as well, I definitely say we will be back there when we’re in the area. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the chaos it’s busy and it’s tight and there’s a hustle in the bustle and I don’t deal well with those. But I certainly will deal with those again when we’re back in the area because the food is great and the service is fantastic.“
“This place is a bit pricey, but the food (and drinks) are worth it! I had the Hot Roast Beef sandwich and a Dulce de Leche latte. Amazing! The folks who work there are super friendly and very helpful too! I'll be back whenever I get to this part of the state.“
“This starbucks is going to top all other starbucks in berks county I have to say the staff is incredible and the service they provide is superb. I went when they were doing that red holiday cup giveaway and that place was packed! But they still made sure they all had a pleasant experience 100/10!! :) Blessings to them!“
“I order coffee from them online nearly every other month! Starbarn is one great espresso bean! 5lbs worth of coffee is great! Works great in our espresso machine. I've been buying their local coffee for over 7 years now! Always great quality! Love supporting a local store!“
“10/22/23 When our son got married here about 14 months ago, this was just opening up. I think it's a splendid addition to this gorgeous hotel. It's bright, clean, chill and relaxing to enjoy a coffee or breakfast item here. The staff is ultra pleasant and polite. Not only do they have fabulous light breakfast- lunch selections but feast your eyes on the case that has all on site hotel Pasteur chef creations. Not only are they beautiful but they are absolutely delicious made with fresh ingredients. It's so nice to sit here with a fresh cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. I'm so happy this beautiful cafe was added.“
“ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIND AMAZING NY STYLE, ITALIAN COOKIES!!!From Long Island, and this is only place I will go!I almost died when they told me $30 per pound for pignoli cookies...but everything else isn't as expensive.I'd try EVERYTHING if I could! It all looks so delicious!!“
“I haven't been inside, I've only visited the drive thru, but almost every coffee I've gotten since they opened has been on point. It's the only Starbucks in Lancaster where the coffee is consistent and just right (what I've come to expect from Starbucks). I'm ashamed to say how much I go through Starbucks drive thrus around the county, the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the drink they put in your hand is far and above the rest of the locations. Not sure why the others have such inconsistent drinks, but it's annoying. So happy this one opened up.“
“Being I’ve only lived 7 miles away from Lancaster all my life and thought I knew about every coffee roaster within 20 miles or so I just recently found out about Gerhart coffee. I took a chance and got their Peru single origin and long story short it’s very very good coffee indeed. I think I found my new go to roaster lol. Ty Adam for your assistance with my first visit and your suggestion with the Peru is extremely tasty to say the least see you guys soon☺️☺️“
“Love this spot. Great food, great coffee and great prices. Best place to get a quick breakfast, brunch or to get some work done with a good latte. They have a great setup inside with nice seating and large windows with lots of natural lighting. Highly recommend this place.“
“I love this Starbucks. All of the employees are so friendly and courteous, and I especially love Debra. She goes the extra mile, making sure my drink is perfect. I drive past the Queen Street Starbucks forging the drive-thru to go to the Pauline Drive Starbucks in Giant on the weekends so I can have Debra make my frap. She is the best and I always appreciate her kindness.“
“Great service. This is the friendliest Starbucks I have ever been too. All the staff here are awesome. The mornings are brutal here as people have no idea how to park and just pull up and block the thruway. Yes, you in the black Volvo, lady. Also it takes about 25 minutes to get your mobile order. So don't rush. Or eat in.“
“The whole team - which shows EVERYTHING about the amazing ? kind human being who own this place (have no clue who he is never met him/her) - is so sweet , all of them so kind , good hearted people who care about others! They will give homeless people use the bathrooms, one of them old and sick, get free coffee every morning!!! A place that support the community like that - the community should support that place!!! No mention their EXCELLENT COFFEE AND SERVICE W A SMILE ? THAT COMES FROM THEIR HEART ❤️SPECIAL THANK YOU , to Garrett for tonight! Another kind sweet person! Starbucks of queen street - YOU ROCK BIG TIME‼️“
“It's a coffee shop with a variety of sandwiches and breakfast foods. My suggestion is that they have more cold sandwiches. It seems that all of the sandwiches are heated sandwiches.I wanted a chicken salad sandwich but had to settle for a chicken salad melt. They do not make sweet tea. That was disappointing.Keep in mind that it is only open for breakfast and lunch and closes around 2:00 p.m.Kid-friendliness: Very small place not recommended for children.Wheelchair accessibility: It is all flat from the door throughout restaurant.“
“This store is always so friendly! Always greeted by the ladies especially the morning ones and they are all so nice and welcoming. The environment is great with lots of seating for work and a great atmosphere with even outdoor seating with a light up fountain. One of the nicer Starbucks I have actually been too. It's a great place to see people and be a regular for them moving forward!“
“I have been working at a location near this Starbucks for the last 2 years, and to say the least, I'm never disappointed. I have gotten the same drink every Thursday and it seems to taste better each day. The service from this facility is phenomenal. Every morning I am greeted by the most amazing worker I've met. Stella is so patient and kind, give this woman a raise! The food is also steaming hot and so delicious!“
“I’ve been going to this Starbucks for a couple years and it’s my absolute favorite. In comparison to several other Starbucks that I have been to, the staff here are super nice and accommodating. Each encounter I have had and at various times has always been pleasant. The food and drinks I get are also well made. I’m happy with my order every time.“
