“This is my favorite location but I'm not in the area often. The employee there was a rockstar and so patient and kind. The location was pretty packed when I went at around 2pm on 4/3 with a few complicated orders per customer. She kept a great attitude, made nice conversation, and made the orders and checked everyone out with a smile and a nice greeting. “Nile Cafe in Germantown offers affordable vegan Soul food with big flavor! The modest interior is lightly decorated and sparsely seated. There were maybe six two-chaired tables. Outdoor seating options are available. Walking in, locals cycled in, ordered, waited, and cycled out constantly. All the food, served in to-go containers, was fantastic. The duck in gravy and the jerk chicken stole the show before we had the dessert. After being impressed, we dug deeper into the menu. The coffee ice cream was super creamy and the cake was moist and decadent. Nile Cafe is special. Although there isn't much on the menu we didn't try, the food was definitely worth a revisit. I might just stop in for dessert when I'm around.“

“Nestled inside Reading Terminal Market, it is necessary to navigate through aisles of carnivorous atrocities by other vendors, (be prepared to cover your eyes and hold your breath) to arrive at LUHV's outpost. The venue itself is underwhelming, as is the menu, but sufficient enough to satisfy any hungry Vegan, assuming one is not strictly adhering to the healthiest options on a whole-food, SOS-free regimen ::sigh:: And so, I opted to try the "Lox (made from beets) and cream cheese (tofu) sandwich (everything bagel) which in all honesty, tasted just fine. I guess it just doesn't hit the same way as on previous visits to Philadelphia as a full-fledged Vegan foodie from 2016-2020. Now, the way a meal makes me FEEL is just as, if not more important than how it tastes. I can't wait to get back home, to my daily salads and smoothies.“

“I eat here a lot and love it! The food is delicious, all organic, wholegrain and 95% vegan. And…it’s super cheap. And their containers and plastic wear are all compostable. If you are lucky you might be in time to get an excellent $.99 muffin. They make juices, always have 1 or 2 soups, a daily special as well as a veggie burger, tacos, and totally customizable bowls and salads. They sell kombucha by the ounce-bring in your growler. The service is usually very fast and the upstairs dining area gives a great view of shoppers. Plus there is free wifi and outlets to charge up. My favorite is the jammed yam.“

The food is terrific, the menu changes all the time with unique ingredients that makes each visit a new visit a new experience. “This place is great. There circle pizza is good, but I think there square pizza is better. The dough becomes a bit fluffy, so it is rich but not excessively so. I normally don't like White pizzas but the square white pizza here is one of my go to orders. The cheese steaks here are also excellent. The quality of the meat is quite a bit higher than typical. I don't eat a lot of cheese steaks but this would be the place I would get them.“
