“After reading a bunch of reviews about this specific location, I wasn’t sure I wanted to stop here for lunch. We ended up choosing to eat here anyway, and I was very pleasantly surprised given all of the terrible reviews about this place.

Our experience was exceptional. I was wondering if we may have gone to the wrong location (given all of the negative reviews) because service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We ordered at the self-serve kiosk and chose table service. Two kind young men brought our meals to us and were very friendly when they told us to enjoy our meal.

The fries were some of the best McDonald’s fries we had ever had. My Big Mac was tasty and everyone else at our table enjoyed their meal.

To anyone considering a visit to this location, please do not let any of the reviews left by the obviously miserable restaurant guests influence your decision to stop here. The restaurant was clean, the food was tasty and the service was excellent. The restaurant is in a great location given its proximity to the highway right between Gatineau and cottage country.

“This place was close to our hotel so we decided to try it. It is a little hole in the wall test kitchen with a counter with a few chairs. The staff were very friendly even though it was busy. The food was fantastic. The smash burger was fresh and so tasty. I'm not usually a big burger fan and never had a smash style burger before but I'm sure we'll go again before we fly home. The fries are also great. Luckily we saw someone else's order before we ordered as you get an entire sandwich bag of fries which were plenty of for the two of us. Good value and so yummy!“

“I had heard a lot of good things about Pataterie Hulloise, but I honestly wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. I decided to stop by and order a small poutine just to test it out for myself.

People were not exaggerating. The poutine was absolutely excellent — fresh fries, great gravy, and cheese curds that were on point. Easily the best poutine I’ve had in Gatineau so far.

Safe to say I’ll definitely be back. Next time I’m trying the hotdogs.“

HO response was quick + follow-ups with Jaclyn Real Person! At 216 their Manager Rassi & Server Omar knew my name as we came in to enjoy HO make-good my suggestion of a complimentary veg burger & fave Strawberry Handspun Shake. Success with Harvey's app would have earned me points & loyalty benefits.

Maybe my old MS 7 vs newer MS10 caused missed menu items or my wrong entries on the app. More care might earn points to earn benefits like Burger Boss for $3 first one. I avoid buying anything American, use mainly Harvey's, Cdn A&W & local meals in tRump years. With reliable American Google OS! :) No McDs, Burger King, Dairy Queen or Starbucks. For takeout, I'd use Winnipeg's SKIP, not US DoorDash.“

“Despite the name, they do not have a patio.

Location: right on Greber (a main street), easy to find and easy to access the parking lot and front entrance.

Parking: a decent sized parking lot in front with plenty of parking for the size of the restaurant.

Accessibility: it’s accessible by wheelchair and the washrooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Ambience / aesthetic: it’s a typical diner. It’s clean and in reasonable shape, but there are no frills. The restaurant is clearly delivering food, not an experience.

Service: the staff are very friendly, and very relaxed. Almost too relaxed, if I may be honest. I get the sense that the restaurant mostly caters to local regular customers. There’s no host/hostess to meet you at the door, and you’re expected to seat yourself, even though there’s no sign stating that. When I was there at 13h00 on a Thursday, they were not at all busy, but the servers only came around every 20-25 minutes, which I don’t consider very much. I want to clarify, the staff are kind, but the establishment feels very laissez-faire.

Drink: I had coffee and it was fine.

Food: I had the “Greber Poutine” and it came with lots of meat and lots of gravy. It was decent and the price was very reasonable.

Washroom: there are single stall male and female washrooms with baby change tables available. The male washroom was relatively clean and everything was functional.“

“Our family really loves the Carlingwood Harvey's, and it has become a regular part of our week. Everytime we arrive we greeted with a warm smile from Christina, who knows are order. Let's face it Harvey's burgers are the best! Why would I want to pay an extra $1 at Burger King's for an extra tomato while Harvey's set you with the topping the way you like it! This is great location; I'm sure you will love it too!“

“I went to the standard to enjoy a patio on Canada Day. The Waitresses were all wearing masks and respected physical distancing. our table was sanitized. We drank out of pineapple, which was over the top in a good way. I had fish tacos, which were okay but they were a little bit liquidy. my friend had a chicken burger with just the right amount of crunch. it was the perfect patio and the perfect drink in the perfect food on a perfect day.“
