And don’t even get me started on the genius-level jerk chicken patty—it’s truly the talk of the town. Finish it all off with their Rum & Raisin ice cream, and you’ve got a perfect meal from start to finish. Honestly, everything on the menu is a five-star experience. “Whenever I visit my mother in Côte Saint-Luc, I stop by Maxies to buy a few containers of chicken soup or matzo soup, and sometimes bread or other baked goods. I really appreciate how hard-working the older gentleman (and I presume owner) is behind the counter. He's welcoming and friendly. I'm always happy to support this local business.”

“You just know the food will be excellent if there's an Argentinian grill displayed in the center of the restaurant. Everything was so original and enjoyable to devour.”

“Expectations were extremely high given all the recent accolades and I have to say I was ready to be disappointed. Marco, Jessica, Vanya, and their wonderful team blew my expectations out of the water.

Dishes like the foie cookies with habanada jelly, and the conserve leeks with fermented chips and mussel mayo are nostalgic in flavour, but creative and fun in their execution.

Their wine list is nothing short of impressive, with many references you’d have a hard time finding outside of a passionate collectors personal cave. Prices are also very reasonable by the glass relative to most wine bars around.

Atmosphere is what you hope for with Montreal dining; far from pretentious but very attentive and warm.

We left having gone through half the menu, and I did not feel heavy or overly full at all.

“We reserved a table for my wife's Birthday celebration. Upon arrival we had to wait but management made us feel at home and apologised for the delay. We were brought the bar area until the table arrived. The staff explained us the menu and manager made special attention to what we ordered. The food was sublime. The tasting platter of seafood was a great mix for the pallet. We had the lobster pasta and the Filet Mignon. Both were exceptionally good. The staff is also very attentive to the customers and makes it feel like a nice place to go back to. Many regular faces were present since all had a good time. Not a quiet place but the vibe is so energetic. Great Job to all and Thank you for a wonderful night....”
