This place has the absolute best coffee, food (steak sandwich!!!) and I dropped my coffee and they were incredibly kind and helped us clean up and made me a new one. What a wonderful spot! “Love this café. Espresso is consistently well prepared and dialed in, baked goods are solid, and of course you have 10+ roasters to choose from for freshly roasted coffee. My only nitpick would be that I wish the house roaster's beans were available as espresso on rotation. The house blend is good but I've had some mind blowing espresso here and I want more lol.“

“New coffee lover here but trained for years. I stayed in MTL for 2 months and tried many café. I almost always get Flat White to test the coffee without too much milk.
Vibe: Amazing place. Very spacious and quite when I visited in the early morning. Very clean toilet too. Wifi is easy to access and fast.
Coffee: Very good. Chocolatey and nutty. Very smooth maybe because that's the largest flat white I got in MTL. haha. The pastries are very flakey and fresh. Fair price too.
Service: Staff is very nice and calm. We got like three drinks on and off but they didn't complain at all. haha“

“I had a lovely experience at Bistro de la Cité on Avenue du Parc. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service was very good. I had the pleasure of sitting inside, where I could enjoy my meal in a quiet, clean environment. The staff was completely bilingual, which made it even more comfortable. “Third visit.

Went to check out the breakfast early this morning, good breakfast menu but the regular menu is even better. Had an all dressed pizza and an americano coffee, both were excellent! Roberto took our orders and provided great service all the way through.

The prices are pretty amazing for quantity of food and drink. Everything is priced like it’s 2016. (Take advantage now before Roberto wises up. 🤣)

Highly recommend giving this place a chance, try the menu for take out or sit down, poutines are authentic and delicious.

Personal note; I am surprised at the (few) bad reviews because despite the gambling machines everything from food quality and cleanliness to service speed and accuracy are well above par for not just the neighborhood but for the city of Montréal itself. On all three visits it was consistently good, clean and delicious.

To the students who were angered at having to tip; if you don’t have the ability to tip at least 15% for good service then please don’t go to a table service restaurant. Servers and bartenders of all types have different pay structures and depend heavily upon tips to supplement their lower hourly wage.

If you find the service so bad that you don’t want to tip, fine, speak to the owner/manager and/or post a review. Otherwise expect to tip well for good service.“
