The ingredients of all of the sauces, hummus, etc are listed out so it is easy to confirm what is vegan. The garlic sauce isn’t vegan but the tahini and hummus were very good. “An AI search for a local Resto featuring Italian plus Fish/ Steak to accomodate 3 adults & 2 teenagers brought up Scarolies Pasta Emporium in Pointe Claire! What a treasure! The decor and ambiance is typical Roman Neo-Classical on steroids, adding to the sensorial experience of chaos barely under control on a busy Labour Day Saturday evening. A very calm and pleasant waitress promptly set a warm, fresh packaged loaf of bread with a plate of oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. The menus true to Roman extravagance were HUMUNGOUS!!! The breaded Calamari were crispy and the octopus melted in my mouth. In lieu of tangy cocktail sauce their signature tomato puree was provided. One had a Minestroni which did not skimp on plenty of vegetables and the Ceasar salad was true to form, crunchy and fresh. One teenager who has sampled Chicken Parm from London & all over N. Amer. declared it to be the Best! I had a rich Linguini with a rosee infused cognac sauce, that had asparagus, shitake mushrooms, and morsels of lobster tail in the shell. OMG yummy. The only disappointment were the 2 Chicken Piccatas. The chicken medallions pounded paper-thin were grey? And the sauce was so yellow that one disappointed diner called it Chicken Lemonade. Both served with a full portion of Spaghetti Napoletana. I did not remove a star for this minor disappointment. There were also lots of pizza choices, fish and steaks as well. We opted for dessert despite being full. I would have liked to see more Italian options. Take-out containers were also gracefully provided. It's a pity we don't have this type of establishment in Montreal. If you have a car, well worth the 20 minute drive!“

“On October 10, 2024, I had a very special gastronomic experience in a restaurant at Carrefour Laval. At dinner time, at New York Fries at Carrefour Laval, I was treated to a large poutine named in my honor: the “Seb” poutine. In this poutine, there are (if I remember correctly): fries, cheese curds, pieces of pickles and merguez, cheese sauce and brown sauce for poutine, pieces of bacon and the all served with a fountain drink. It was a real treat!“

“I visited from the Greater Toronto Area and loved this bakery tucked away around Jean-Talon Market. The baked goods for the day are posted online. I got a baguette, half a brioche, and an almond croissant. The baguette was so good that I ate it in one sitting. I regret not buying another baguette. Prices here are also cheaper than in Jean-Talon Market. Loved it and can’t wait to try more when I come back to Montreal!“

“Restaurant was under renovations so they had a dining room set up just outside of the restaurant and beside the pool. Was a little worried about what we were going to get but was extremely happy with the food. We started off with Montreal smoked meat poutine and French onion soup. The mains we ordered were the seafood pasta, fish and chips, chicken linguini and chicken parmigiana. All excellent choices. Very delicious and would recommend to anyone staying at the Radisson Montreal Airport.“

“Drove up from Ontario for a weekend trip and stumbled onto this place near Carrefour Laval, honestly wasn't expecting much but the steak frites blew me away. We got there around 7pm on a Friday and even though it was packed, the host sat us within ten minutes and the servers were genuinely friendly the whole night. The bearnaise sauce with the ribeye was rich without being heavy, and my partner's salmon dish looked just as good. Parking lot behind the building was easy to find too, which made the whole night stress free after a long day of driving around the city.“

“I finally had time to write this. Since I really liked the seafood dish with crispy noodless from Nguyen Phi on CDN, that unfortunately was closed, we decided to go in and try it here, thinking that the experience could be similar. We were 3 at the table. We also ordered a third dish with shrimps, beef and chicken.

Without a doubt, the seafood, with noodless, as a whole, was better in the Nguyen Phi. There, the sauce was more flavorful, well seasoned. Richer and thicker. Here, it was like water.
As for the other dish, it was generally good, but according to my table companion, the shrimps were dry. So much so that he had a hard time removing them from the toothpick.
The service time was average. Nice atmosphere and clean place. Next time, I might try their Pho.“
