McDonald's in Montreal

“Following a busy but enjoyable day trip to Montreal, we had some time to kill before our train departed for Ottawa. Wishing for a delightful snack treat, we felt McDonald’s would hit the spot (we’d also wanted to hit up a bakery in the train station, but most eateries had already closed by 6PM). As such, the ever enjoyable McNuggets were on the menu + a new summer drink. Located in Montreal Central Station, this particular unit of McDonald’s surprised me for a couple of reasons: 1) It is quite large and with ample seating; in fact, I’d say this was one of the biggest McDonald’s I’ve ever been in, and; 2) Despite its size, this location is very clean! In my experience with this chain, even small outposts have been dirty, but this one appears to be very well run. Bravo to the team working here! It made for a welcoming and relaxing environment despite being in the hustle and bustle of a busy train station! With respect to food, well, a McDonald’s is a McDonald’s regardless of where you go. As such, if you’re coming here then you should know what to expect – reasonably good eats @ a cheap price. In that regard, we were quite satisfied with our McNuggets – they were delivered hot and fresh! My Strawberry Passionfruit Fruit Splash (try saying that 10 times fast!), on the other hand, was underwhelming. It just tasted like a standard fruit punch. Maybe the Peach Mango would’ve been a little more exciting? FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: Overall, we have no complaints. The establishment was clean, the service was cordial, and the food was of the quality we’ve come to expect of this MNC. As such, if you have time to kill at Montreal Central, this McDonald’s makes for a relaxing and familiar snack option. Recommended. “Friendly employees and managers who listen to customers. The wait time is reasonable and the food is good. Negative points: The space for ordering inside is far too limited so the customers are all crowded together and sometimes the waiting line starts outside the restaurant. No drive-thru ordering.“

“A little busy as it's was a Saturday night, but there are 4 stories for a reason. Lots of space and I got my order quite quick considering how busy they were. I would probably come back, staff were very friendly!Parking: There is rarely street parking, better to take train or metro to get there.“

However, despite this and the restaurant being open 24 hours, it is really clean and the employees seemed polite and in a good mood.I ordered a buffalo chicken poutine which was pretty great.“

“Food is usually ok, as one should expect, but the waiting time is about 50% longer than other McDonald's without a drive-through.They have a lot of competition, so it's expected that they take advantage of this perk.They close at 11:00 PM, from then they let only clients order through the drive-through, even allowing their clients to walk the path and order by foot.Impressive adaptation from the manager, staff looks like a tight knit team and they have a steady pace when the stars align.The place inside is quite well spaced. Lots of regulars hang out and have a good time. Exceptional fast food place for the area it's in.Pretty good place to meet, recharge batteries and take sunlight.“

“Very quick service, and great ice cream. We came at roughly midnight, and were served instantly (from my experience, late night orders usually take forever to complete). Can't complain about quality since you can't go wrong with an Oreo McFlurry.“

“McDonalds in Place Montreal Trust on the lowest level (Niveau du Jardin). Ordered an egg McMuffin combo for breakfast which includes a large hash brown and a coffee or tea. She put in the price for the coupon I had but didn't accept the coupon (more for me!). I was served rather quickly even though there was half a dozen people in line as they have three cashes.I ordered a McMuffin without ham as I don't eat pork and it came as I ordered. The McMuffin was okay, the hash brown was deep fried and kinda small, the peppermint tea was good - they serve Higgins and Burke, one of my favorite tea brands. The breakfast is most likely worth the 4.50$ I payed, but originally it's almost 7$ without coupon, and at that price I don't think it's worth what you get. You can get a whole footlong at Subway next door for about that price.The eating area is air conditioned and there's free WiFi.“

“I will give 4 stars because every time I go to the drive tru it’s very fast, but I’ve had some mistakes on my orders, they forget to give you straws , I’ve asked for an iced tea and I’ve gotten coke . The food isn’t hot most of the time. Some employees are nice and smiles but most of them look like they hate their jobs. Just « have a good day » would already make things better . Anyways i like the food just please improve your customer service you're the only McDonalds that’s next to where I live I wouldn’t like to go to another one far away ☺️“

“It's a bit small and it gets crowded easily. The machines for ordering often don't print tickets but it's not really an issue if you remember your number and what you ordered. The staff are helpful despite how busy they are. It's an OK spot to go to after a day in the park.“

“It's super long for almost nothing even just for a coffee you wait 45 minutes it's horrible and when you ask what's going on the staff are super stupid with you it's not cool and there are always problems with your order when you receive it I have already asked for a happy kibble feast I had a toy and a yogurt in my box I had to come back from home to collect everything suddenly I ate cold“

“Good parking lot, conveniently located, lots of sitting spots for individuals and groups of friends, with bar table and stools, washroom with hand control faucets, but there is no hand blow dryer or paper towel, so only way to dry your hands with toilet paper if the toilet booth door open, space is tight. Most customers use self service touch screen to order, you can choose English, but when your order is ready, stuff call only in French, if you don't response right away, your order number will disappear on the screen, causing confusion, why not calling in English if you see customers ordering in English, and you can see there is people standing there in front of desk!?!. Poor service“

“Rare McDonald's where you are served quickly, and the meal arrives hot.The fries were overflowing because there were so many. It's very, very rare that the box of fries is fullThe only downside is that I believe that the fries had already been salted before, and that this was not said, and that probably a second employee re-salted the fries again.At least, that's what I think, because I couldn't finish my fries, they were too salty, and that's a shame. But hey, it must have been a mistake.“
