“I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“

The staff were efficient, and our waiter was great as well. He explained the menu in detail. We wanted to share some of the dishes as I knew it would be way too much food, and also because we've also ordered some appetizers. We took home so much food home, the portions for the shareable dishes were very generous. The wait for the food was on the longer side, as well as for the cocktails. Overall, the food was delicious, but my expectations were high, and I think I've expected a tad more, in some of the dishes.“

“The Lomo Saltado dish was great, hits the taste buds really well. The El Cacao desert is the cherry on top after a Lomo Saltado. The yuca fries on the other hand are a 5/10 as i prefer the texture and flavour of a fresh cut yuca fry instead of this iteration of a yuca fry. But others may enjoy this type of yuca fry, the sauces with this are great too.
