“I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place.

I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants all around the world. A lot of them are generally tasting menus. Which I do believe foxy may offer. However, we chose the Comptoir chef seating. Which means we got to sit at the counter and watch the chefs in action it was such an amazing experience.

When you first walked into the restaurant, you can smell the wood because they cook everything over wood and it is such an amazing smell. It sets you up for a great experience right from the beginning.

We sat at the counter as I mentioned. At first, I was thinking while this counter is awfully tiny. How is this going to work. But I do find that the servers staggered the food and placed everything precariously in a way that made it all work. So yes, it’s a small space but it worked just fine.

We ordered a bunch of items to share between the group. We started with the Scallop Crudo and the feta and pita. I personally loved the scallops more than the pita, but my coworkers loved the pita better. Then we moved on to The Little gem salad and the Capelletti pasta. Both were fantastic. Last we had maitake mushrooms and cod. The mushrooms were a meter event for me! I’ve obsessed with mushrooms, and this was absolutely incredible.

The server came by and asked if we wanted dessert. We decided to have oysters and carrots as our dessert. Lol we saw the chefs making them and they just looked so incredible that we couldn’t resist.

This is going to sound really strange, but those carrots were really one of the highlights for me. I can’t explain it. They were just so incredibly flavorful and it was something I will think about for a long time.

The only negative for me is that I didn’t really love the wine selection that the server suggested. However, wine is such a personal preference that it’s not really his fault. It just it wasn’t for me.

Major shout out to Jenna. She was manning the oven closest to us. And she was doing everything with a smile. She was explaining the process to us. She was doing such an incredible job. She made the experience even more fun.

“What an experience! Over the course of about 3 hours, 7 fantastic dishes, paired with 7 glasses of perfectly selected wine, I discovered what the term "fine dining" actually means. It's sophisticated without being overly serious, the flavors are always playful, changing right when you think you've figured them out. My favorite dish was a charred trout with roe and confit melon, in a beurre blanc sauce (chef's kiss). However, everything was truly wonderful, from a perfectly cooked strip loin, to rare squab with a rich berry sauce, to a braised beet on top of an intense shiitake mushroom puree. The service is impeccable: they never miss a beat. Whether it was never missing the opportunity to pull out the chair for my companion, to simply exuding a quite and comforting friendliness. Accommodation is what they strive for, and they go above and beyond to achieve that while maintaining an air of effortlessness. Needless to say, I'm counting the days until I go back.“

“Very good. One of my favourite restaurants I’ve been to in the city. Also in a great location with other fun restos and bars around. Service was amazing from the start, explaining the menu throughly for us “first timers”. Fun plates to share, don’t disregard the veggies as they are some of the best parts of the meal. The chilie cabbage was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. (Choi chili crisp). Thanks for the great service, food and ambience, will be back asap.“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“I use to go to this restaurant, I love the food and the vibes. Last 5 times the sauces (onglet, fish, poulet) are too salty, maybe in the reduction sauce process the sauces become salty, still delicious but a little bit less of salt would be great.“

“My partner and I came here for the MTL à Table 2025 edition and I wasn't disappointed. The food was good and the service was great. We were super full as the portion was quite big and that was definitely worth $50/person. I love the atmosphere and the decoration were quirky but in a speakeasy-ish cute vibe. The only downside was the drink; I think I got a very average Nestea taste-like iced tea while I ordered a special mocktail.

“Cool hotel. Went to a concert at the Bell Centre, which was less than a 5 minute walk. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was lovely and spacious. Lots of room for storing luggage and such. Great views of the city. We parked in the garage which had plenty of available spaces. Would stay here again.“

“I hadn’t been to a Harvey’s in a long time (probably since I was a kid) but I like this one a lot.
You can choose what to put in your burger like in Subway, and no matter what you choose it’s always good.
They stay open late and the employees are cool. The first time I went, I saw an employee leave her counter to bring water to a customer who had a spicy ghost pepper burger. So nice!“

Don't buy the hamburger again, ever since they switched to frozen patties they have been questionable and almost Russian roulette with your results. A real shame because we live 5-10 minutes away and always a better restaurant than other price wise“

“This is plant-based fast-food place on Maisonneuve Blvd West that is open from 8am to 9pm (weekdays) and 11am to 8pm (weekends). They have a menu of vegetarian friendly dishes at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and fine during our recent visit. On the occasion we tried the Galaxy burger with fries and the Asian Fusion power bowl. Both were pretty good for the prices charged. It is good that there are healthy food options like Copper Branch. Would be fine eating here again next time in Montreal.“
