“My dad and I ate here yesterday for Father's Day. Pops had a high blood pressure episode and we actually had to call the paramedics. The manager and all the staff were so lovely, so discreet, and the most professional, respectful, and attentive superstars I've had help me with a family member having an episode in public. I've been assisted by trained medical professionals who were less kind. Before dad lost consciousness, the food was crazy good and served piping hot. We sat at the bar, and I wish I got his name to give credit because the bartender ensured our spot was clean and our drinks were always full. While the paramedics were checking dad out, a priest even popped in to pick up his order (not kidding), so the establishment even has God's approval. 15/10 would eat and experience more family drama here again. PS - dad's doing awesome, and we're both so grateful for you and your staff's swift intervention <3“

“Today was me and my wife’s first time going to Olneyville New York System in Providence and we were both in awe while we were there and we kept talking about it how awesome it was after we left. Not only were the wieners excellent but the fries are some of the best we’ve ever had. Gotta get the coffee milk to go with the wieners, it is delicious. Most importantly, I want to give a shoutout to the crew that was working today. You all made us feel so welcome along with being super nice and accommodating to us. All I can say is that we will be back not only for the excellent food but for the atmosphere itself. We’ll be looking forward to seeing you all again. Have a great day !“

“Had an amazing experience. The Whipped Ricotta app was light and delicious, and the Shaved Steak Sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. Didn't exactly skip on dessert; their espresso martini ended the night perfectly. Highly recommend and shout out to Shakira and Nate...amazing top-notch service.“

The only thing was when it costs $13 for a glass of wine, I'd like a good pour. The pours were a bit small. Service was excellent. Pricey but expected this, would definitely go back.“

“Dined here last night before PPAC, for that reason we made an early dinner reservation. I confirmed when calling they had valet parking. We arrived to find no valet attendant. After some back and forth with hostess and manager my husband was finally able to come inside for dinner, nearly 30 mins wasted. Our server AJ provided exemplarry service; she was personable and knew the menu like the back of her hand. We appreciated her service, and our dinners were all very good. As we departed we confirmed with the tardy valet attendant if we could leave the car and pick up after the show as we do with neighboring establishments and he said no because they would be closed by the time the show was over; this couldn’t have been further from the truth. The valet was rude, late, and it’s terribly unfortunate that the valet ruined what could have been a great dinner with friends.“

Everyone was so friendly and they made us (including my 9mo son) feel very welcome and comfortable throughout our meal. We can’t wait to dine here again!!“

“I saw Honeybird on Phantom Gourmet a bit ago and living a state away I took note this is a must try. Fast forward to this weekend I suggested to my brother and others come here to kick off his bachelor party weekend and let me tell you this is THE SPOT!!! The wings and tenders were huge and the perfect balance of crispy and tender. Fries seasoned incredibly well. Get the honey bird sauce too. You won’t be disappointed. “Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

The private room was beautiful and decorated so nicely, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a special celebration. It was the perfect mingling space where everyone could comfortably move around, socialize, and enjoy the party together. The brisket melt with the homemade fries that I have to say were the best 🥰. The slaw on the melt was very tasty too😋 All in all the food was very good. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they had!! And the wait staff is wonderful too. They were all so pleasant!“

After a wonderful meal, my husband paid the bill & we were getting ready to leave when the manager came to our table to ask what was wrong & if we were unhappy w/our server.....'No he was fantastic' we said. Oh! he said, because we didn't leave a tip he thought the waiter had messed up.... suffice it to say.... husband had THOUGHT he left the tip when he paid. Apparently he didn't!!! “I visit Ivy Tavern everytime I come to Providence, RI. Excellent food and drink, but even more important, to me, are the friendly folks that run the tavern. Because they are always genuinely friendly, treating every customer with kindness, the regulars that frequent the tavern always seem to be more sociable than I normally see in most places. This is a hard to find quality, these days.“
