“My go-to order in most places would be a Reuben. The quality of the meat, bread and the balance with the sauerkraut, sauce & cheese say a lot about how the restaurant approaches their food. The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.“

“My fiancé and I stopped here on a Friday night for the first time. We had tried a handful of other bars in Newport that were all packed but when we walked into Bar 12 it was almost empty. I ordered the Secret Garden cocktail and was so impressed with the presentation! It tasted as good as it looked too! I stopped by again this past Friday with four of my friends and tried the lemon meringue drink this time. It was amazing- super sweet and tasted just like a lemon bar! The prices are really reasonable for the quality of the cocktails and the location. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or small groups, the bathroom was super clean, and overall I’m just really shocked it wasn’t more crowded both times I went!“

We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Something my husband and I typically would not order proved to be our favorite dish. Giusto is a culinary experience not to miss. Kyle, Kevin, and Chef Will have created a masterpiece. Last night I had one of my favorite small hot plates ; mussels topped with fries . The cream sauce is delicious and compliments the mussels so well. I usually stick with fish throughout but tonight I had the Butternut squash and goat cheese flatbread . The combination juts fits with soft center and crispy edges. I honestly could have eaten more apps and dinner because I could anticipate the flavors of each dish. in the past I've tried the duck , pork, shortribs ,pasta and many hot and cold apps. The presentatation is always eye pleasing . The combination of flavors are always on point. Love it there! I highly recommend Rivival Craft Kitchen and Bar. “We had brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Not very may people, so it was very quiet. Excellent service. We were greeted upon arrival. Food and drink were both excellent. We would have appreciated some nice, fresh French baguette slices with fresh creamery butter upon arrival. I also suggest toast with the omelet (maybe French country bread) and a drizzle of vinaigrette on the small bit of lettuce on the omelet plate. Enjoyed the homemade soda...very light, flavorful and refreshing. I would like to try the pear hard cider next time. Also, twp crepes instead of one would have been better for the price of the lemon ricotta crepe dish. The French onion soup ( gratinee) was so delicious and our favorite out of the 3 dishes we shared. We enjoyed the lemon ricotta crepe ( needs a little more lemon flavor) and the ratatouille omelet. The potato mixture on the side was good but needed a bit more seasoning. The ratatouille was good, but an addition of goat cheese would have made it memorable. Overall, very good.“

Drinks are reasonable and delicious. Our server PATRICK WAS AMAZING. They explain specials and drinks. Most attentive and all foods were perfectly presented. Wanna another drink, ask and within 2 minutes it’s there. We had wild mushrooms and salmon that were incredible as appetizers. Caesar salad was fresh and lettuce crisp. Scallops special had my wife shaking her head. My seafood linguine was overflowing with fresh seafood. The dessert of “Snowball from Hell” can be shared. Our 54th anniversary was unreal.
