“We just had the most amazing pastry from Sweet Rose—made with zucchini, of all things! I’ve never had zucchini taste this good (sorry, Mom!). Light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. Huge compliments to the bakers for turning a humble veggie into something so delicious. “The food was absolutely amazing—I’ll never forget that incredible toast! This place has a hard closing time: around 4:45 they start mopping and sweeping, and you’ll need to take your food to go. Which I get, just something to keep in mind when planning your visit. The food is totally worth every penny spent here.“

“I liked the variety of juices and other organic goods. The electrolyte juice was my favorite, and I loved the chocolate nut milk. Everything is made of simple organic ingredients which is great! Only downside is all the drinks go bad within 3 days, which is tough if you don't live close.“

“We had another wonderful meal at The Food Shack tonight. My dad and I shared the nachos which were superb and my daughter enjoyed her rice bowl. And don’t forget a side of plantains! Also they serve local beer now which is a bonus. You need to eat here!“

“This is a hidden gem, in Newport. Made a reservation and even being a little late, with weekend Newport traffic, they held our table. The food was incredible, served hot and as ordered. I had the chicken and waffles,never had it served with loaded mashed potatoes and sausage gravy. I added the maple syrup. The chicken breast was tender and a nice thick piece with a delicious thin coating. The pearl sugar waffle was so good. The load mashed potatoes, served with chunks of bacon, not little pieces in the potatoes. It was so good and a very generous portion, no room for dessert. My wife had fish and chips, opted for sweet potato fries. Serval pieces of lightly battered fish and as requested crispy sweet potatoes, half the order went home with her. The food and the restaurant were a definite, we are going back, but most of all Maddie B was the ultimate waitress, very friendly and professional. Every question and request was answered and taken care of. As busy as it was, Maddie made sure everything was as we needed. Can't wait to return.“

The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

There are tables inside and outside if you want to hang out. You can buy their own products and packaged coffees. I bought a latte, the coffee was really fresh. I think it has a few awards too. “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! Excellent presentation and the flavor profile as well as the cuisine was cooked to perfection. Excellent service along with a remarkably wide variety of menu choices. We lived in Southern Arizona for 17 years. The Fiesta restaurant in Somerset serves meals equal the the best of the very best in South Tucson. I plan to visit my friends again this Fall. On the recommendation of our charter captain, Connor from Newport Charter Group, we decided to check out Mission Burgers—and we’re so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a couple of burgers and Cajun fries, and wow—the flavor was absolutely off the charts. The burgers were juicy, perfectly cooked, and downright mouthwatering.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s worth circling around for a spot. The restaurant was clean, and our food came out surprisingly fast.

If you're in Newport and craving a great burger, this place is a must. Highly recommend!“

“Super tasty bagels, great pricing and friendly staff. It seems like this place is super popular with the locals. The only thing I think could be improved is efficiency of the behind the counter staff. The wait for the bagels was insane, and according to a local is very common. I think he said “if you want to kill an hour, come to Bristol Bagel Works.” While we didn’t wait an hour per se, it was probably a good 20-30 mins with only 6 people ahead of us. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.“
