“We had a great birthday experience aboard the train & plan on returning many times. We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“We just had the most amazing pastry from Sweet Rose—made with zucchini, of all things! I’ve never had zucchini taste this good (sorry, Mom!). Light, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. Huge compliments to the bakers for turning a humble veggie into something so delicious. Which I get, just something to keep in mind when planning your visit. The food is totally worth every penny spent here.“

The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “My good friends live near this great restaurant. They treated me to the best Mexican dinner here. I ordered the usual combination plate, without the rice. Excellent presentation and the flavor profile as well as the cuisine was cooked to perfection. Excellent service along with a remarkably wide variety of menu choices. We lived in Southern Arizona for 17 years. The Fiesta restaurant in Somerset serves meals equal the the best of the very best in South Tucson. I plan to visit my friends again this Fall. Supper at the Fiesta is absolutely at the top of my list. RATING: 5 ****/5“

On the recommendation of our charter captain, Connor from Newport Charter Group, we decided to check out Mission Burgers—and we’re so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a couple of burgers and Cajun fries, and wow—the flavor was absolutely off the charts. The burgers were juicy, perfectly cooked, and downright mouthwatering.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it’s worth circling around for a spot. The restaurant was clean, and our food came out surprisingly fast.

If you're in Newport and craving a great burger, this place is a must. Highly recommend!“
