“The most interesting thing happened to me this morning. I came to the drive thru and the cashier asked “do you eat Cinnamon rolls?” I told her I don’t really need one, but I do eat them occasionally. She mentioned that she was testing out their 4th of July Cinnabons, and wanted me to try one. Let me just say this, it tastes as good as it looks and I highly recommend you to swing by Schlotzsky’s and get your 4th of July Cinnabon fix while supplies last!“
“Hi my name is Anthony I’m here in a date with my ol lady and we have to say Ms Trika and her coworker Jeramy really went there way out for us tonight by providing Gr8t customer to me And soon to be wife.we thank you so very much please make sure that these two employees get a increase in there pay for there very hard work and Efforts need to be honored Ms Janice and Anthony ?.“
“I had a great experience. We brought around 15 girls and they served us all with GREAT customer service and were very patient with us. Everyone on staff did their job efficiently. If anyone wants a great sub to eat, firehouse is the place to go.“
“Absolutely amazing experience AND food! It was our first time here. My boyfriend got the chicken andouille gumbo and I got the shrimp po-boy. Both were DELICIOUS. We also got the beignets which were out of this world. Will definitely be coming back!“
“Steamed bagels never tried one. It was different. Top notch ingredients on the sandwich and tons of unique and interesting options to choose from. The steaming process means they are not dry. So if you like bagels but not their typical dryness this is a great option and probably healthier too. Decent prices and good service.“
“Cutest darn place you will ever see inside. Food is fresh, wholesome and incredibly tasty. Sandwiches are super flavorful and the bread is absolutely delicious. Pasta salad was the show stopper bursting with yummy goodness Jackie, Jade, Stephen and owner Rob Reed are all local and very friendly. A SUPER place for a great meal!“
“First time in a long time and the people that work here are wonderful and kind!!! Highly recommend, check it out! This location is the best!!!Vegetarian options: You can literally order anything off the menu and turn it into a vegan or vegetarian dish.“
“Coming from NY, the bar is set pretty high for us in terms of burger joints. This is truly the closest thing to home we have discovered here in SC! The atmosphere is 100% on point! The staff are all very sweet and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied, except they mixed up our plates/sides. The food, I would give a 6.5 - 7.0 out of 10, but the prices are on par with the food and given the atmosphere and homey feeling of this charming roadside spot, makes dining here an even greater value! A clean, homey, friendly place with decent food! If more attention to the condiments on the tables had been evident (most ketchups had barely any ketchup in them and the malt vinegar they brought had barely an ounce of vinegar left!), then I would have probably have rated this higher.“
“Never thought I'd write a review to subway but this locally-owned and operated location deserves a 10/10. Staff was so friendly but what really made me want to write a review was the cleanliness of this location. Cleanest restaurant establishment I have ever seen from the sandwich line to the prep station. Way to go!!“
“My go-to lunch spot during the work week. They have a crazy good selection of deli sandwiches and salads, my favorite is the Hali Cali. I love a good sandwich so I find myself here 2-3 times a week and somehow havent tired of it, its THAT good.“
“My salad was awesome I usually get the same thing every time I go. Sweet onion teriyaki sauce is a must have. I got to lay off the cookies. Go try yours how I eat mine get the ingredients from the pictureVegetarian options: You have choices to choose from.Dietary restrictions: Count those calories.Parking: Enough space for the lunch rush.Kid-friendliness: Your kids are friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“I have been going to Beezer's since it opened in the late 1970s / early 1980s, it seems like it has always been here. I moved to Columbia in 1974 and I did carry out two weeks ago. The food is as great as that first sub that sold me on their food. I still get it the same way. You get a grest deal on your sub for a great price. USC & Columbia would not ever be the same if it ever closed. They are a Columbia Landmark as far as I am concerned.Vegetarian options: Any sub could have the meat or cheese or both left off and you have enough choices to have a vegan sub.“
“I come here almost every Saturday afternoon/evening before I go to work, and I receive excellent service every time I visit. I worked for Subway while paying my way through college, and I can assure you that these young gentlemen deserve way more pay for what they do. They always greet with a friendly smile, they show courtesy and respect, my food is always made accurately and tastes great, and the restaurant is always clean. I pass three Subway restaurants on my way to work, and this is the ONLY one I’ll visit. Thanks for always making my visits pleasant!“
“I just got back from picking up my call in order from Subway in the Walmart on garners ferry Road. All I can say is this was the BEST Tuna Sub I've had since I've been in Columbia. I haven't even tasted the Vegetarian Sub I purchased, but if it is as good as the Tuna, then I know I'm in for a treat. The staff of 2 was very professional and friendly. I think I have found my go to sandwich spot.***** Robert A“
“I live in Charlotte, but whenever I am near Columbia I stop at Roly Poly for a wrap!My favorite regular menu item is the Huevos Rancheors (‘egg roly’). My all time favorite menu item is the #9 Thanksgiving roly (this year I made a special trip to get this sandwich while it was available in November). The food is always fresh, and seasoned with a unique combination of spices, sauces and dips. And somehow, despite being so large and so delicious, the rolys are only a few hundred calories each. The shop is run by a kind gentleman named Dave, who always takes time to welcome and talk with customers. I highly recommend Roly Poly and am already thinking about my next trip there!“
“Purchased a veggie delight wrap via online ordering. It was fresh, delicious, and exactly as described. Only hiccup was figuring out where to go, but I was expecting a bit of confusion there per other reviews. Heads up if you do online ordering, you need to go the “sundry” which is a little convenience store right next to the deli. Highly recommend for a fresh and delicious downtown lunch.“
“5 stars, because the food is *chefs kiss” I picked up my to-go order during a lunch rush and when I got home I realized it was not what I had ordered. I called once I realized the mistake and Crystal (manager) was so polite and even asked ME how I wanted it to be handled. I completely understand how hectic it gets and sometimes things get mixed up. No biggie, I was able to go back and get my correct order with Crystals help. She even gave me a cookie. So with that being said…. 5 STARS.“
“This shop is on point. I place my orders online, and without fail, they're ready before I can even drive the few miles to get there. Everything has been perfect each time and everyone is exceptionally friendly and welcoming each time I visit.“
“Have always wanted to try a Firehouse sub restaurant but the aren't any around where we live. So when we were on vacation and saw one we tried it and we're not disappointed. I had the pulled pork coleslaw on Hawaiian bun. It was so delicious. My husband had an Italian and was very happy with his also.“
“Again..went to fire house subs @ 2301 Augusta rd..The person who took the order was friendly..and respectful..The sub was Great..and fresh..In today's market..The service industry has declined so bad that people no longer enjoy going out to eat..Not Here..It was a pleasure..Great Job guys..?“
“Wow! Since Fire and Spice closed I have had a hard time finding a good Philly Cheesesteak Sub near Irmo and Lexington. So, I decided to follow a recommendation of several fellow foodies. With low expectations (I thought they were cold subs only), I decided to try try Jersey Mikes on Broad River Rd near Irmo. I was extremely shocked when my cheesesteak arrived. They call it the Big Kahuna and it was it loaded with an excellent flavor. It had beef, onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños and cheese that were cooked to perfection! Definitely top 5 ranking. BTW, if you like a little ketchup added, bring your own as the don’t have packets. It was so good, ketchup was not needed. I will be back!“
“I worked at a sub station II 20 years ago. I had not eaten at one since (for no particular reason) and today I decided to get( to go) sub hAlf of a ultimate sub, just like I used to, and it was sooooo good ,!!! Just like I remember!! The staff was very nice , the store was clean and neat, and I wanted to turn around and get another one! Thanks guys for reminding me to come back more often!“
“McAlister's has been around for awhile and one of the traditional' 'go to' places in Lexington. There is a large adjacent parking lot that services the commercial strip mall of which McAllisters is a part which is convenient but doesn't mean you'll always park close. Like most places McAlisters seems to suffer from lack of help and when we visited many tables were not cleaned and the restrooms needed attention. Those who were working were extremely pleasant and trying hard to please the many guests. Was nice to see the shift supervisor working many positions and greeting customers on arrival and apologizing for the wait when served. Truly a dedicated employee. Wait time to order was about 5 minutes and food arrived in around 10 minutes. To sum up, it was worth the wait. The French Dip was stuffed with meat and cheese and the sides were delicious. The au jus was flat, cold and unseasoned and essentially water with a bit of bouillon. However , a replacement was happily provided and the staff interested in our observations. The Southwest chicken salad was also delicious despite a tired avocado ingredient and red onions cut in too large chunks. The Italian sub was huge and packed with meat and cheese and worth the 15.00 price. McAlisters tea is legend and refills were cheerfully accommodated. Desserts are always great at McAlisters and the cookies and pie were terrific as usual. This is family friendly dining and an overall pleasant experience. We'll be back.“
“I just drove into Columbia and had a long drive and didn't feel like eating somewhere new. I love McAlister's and I saw it and immediately knew it was the place. Surprisingly the dining room was empty which is unusual for McAlister's (at least in the Midwest) which explains how I got my meal so fast, which is also unusual. The cashier was super nice friendly and funny. It was late afternoon so I got a Spud because I know i would be able to take it home and prob get another meal out of it. For the Gluten Free peeps. I like McAlister's as my sub place of choice as their gluten free alternatives are not limited to salads. You have many choices such as spuds and sandwiches as they offer GF buns.Unfortunately their are no desert options for us GF folk.“
“They always made my food correctly even with the flood of people they move at an efficient pace so your sandwich or sub look like the picture. If I’m in a mood for a sub I make the drive because they are at least a 20 min drive with traffic. If you want a quality sub done right they got you.Parking: They get busy and the spots get filled quick.Wheelchair accessibility: They got the ramp for the wheel chair to access.“
“I went to this subway on my lunch break just to grab a sandwich, and a kind young lady named Rachel was so vibrant and positive. Made my day better on the spot the areas were also very clean and organized. Would recommend this subway if you’re in the area. Thank you Rachel for making my day!“
“I was in the area, and decided to stop by and try their Fiesta Chicken sandwich. When I say delicious, I was quite surprised how good it was. I actually should've ordered two!I ordered at the drive thru, and the service was quick, and the gentleman working the drive thru was extremely nice.“
“Food is always excellent. Service is quite slow, I assume due to staf shortages like almost everywhere these days. I'm sure they are doing the best they can. Don't expect your online order to be ready when you get there. Ours never is, but the food is worth the wait.“
“Stopped in to get a quick bite for dinner. I had the #33 Teriyaki Blitz. I added spinach, pickles, onions, banana peppers, and tomatoes. With added mayo, and teriyaki sauce. The service was quick, and I was able to get in and out quickly. Also, a nice environment to sit in and eat.“
“Firehouse Subs makes some great sandwiches. They have hot subs that just melt in your mouth. Highly recommended if you have never been. You even get a pickle on the side. Firehouse also sells empty 5 gallon pickle buckets for $3. The tables inside have Dalmatian print, and there is a mural on the wall of firefighters. The murals at Firehouse Subs depict something of significance related to the owner, a dog, house, person, etc.. You can also order ahead using the app. However, this particular location was slow to start my order. I ordered ahead and they hadn't started my order when I arrived. The employees were standing around talking to each other. I did not see any sandwiches being made. I told them I was there to pick up and then they started to make my order. It really defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. Overall, the food is great here. One of my favorite restaurants for subs. I'd recommend Firehouse Subs.“
“I really don't have any complaints. I was greeted by the employees when i walked in....which is rare these days. I ordered 3 subs. Two were the same kind but the last one was different. The guy made all 3 the same. However the error was resolved quickly and I left pleased with my visit. The food was fresh and tasty.“
“I was new to their reward membership. This website was featuring a special for Buy One 13 inch. Get another for free! It took the two of us about 20 minutes to load the software. My meatball sandwiches will satisfy my craving.....1/2 sandwich (6 inches) at a time. Thanks for the help!“
“This is my wife's new sandwich shop. She had a bad experience before and since, under my suggestion of course, we gave it a try and now she's there at least twice a week! Great options, great variety and great sandwiches! Not as fast as the commercials I used to see, but still great food!“
“I get a subway salad atleast once a week depending on where I'm at in town depends on the subway I stop at. I never really looked down on the salad making craftsmanship of other stores until I got a salad from this one. I felt as if I ordered a salad at High end restaurant the care that was put into crafting this masterpiece. Very minimal dressing wasted on the lid.. (which I've never seen) the vegetables where cut up to perfection. Top of the line service, attitudes, & atmosphere. 10 out of 10 recommended!!!!“
