“The food in Surfside is very good and service is as well, but, check for hidden fees and wrong prices. A side salad is an up charge of $2.50 as a side which we were not informed. I ordered a $10 drink during happy hour but was charged $14.90. So check before you order and check your ticket. Other than that you will enjoy the meal.“

“My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch at Captain John’s yesterday! I ordered the Captain John’s Halibut dinner! it was superb!Ate very bit! My husband had the chicken 🍗 parm sandwich, which he too enjoyed! I ended my meal with a freshly made Irish ☘️ coffee! All n all a wonderful time , with a wonderful staff! We will return!“

“I visited Kimbels for a wedding. The weather was fantastic and glad it was because the wedding was held on the bluffs. Such a beautiful setting. Appetizers were served to us by wandering waiters in an outside tent along with a bar and band. After the ceremony and wedding pix ... the people went inside where there were 4 food stations. So good. After we got our fill ... we went back outside under the tent to dance. It couldn't have been better!“

“By far the best restaurant we have eaten at from North Myrtle to Surfside! The blackened Mahi Mahi was the best I’ve ever eaten! It had my daughter & I fighting over the fork. Make sure to try the ribs, pulled pork & those fried green tomatoes too (they had me coming back to Virginia searching for green tomatoes). Our waitress, Shay, took wonderful care of us & almost has us convinced to make the move to Surfside. We’ll definitely be visiting every time we make the journey back to the coast.“

“The shrimp was the best thing on the menu. The fish wasn’t that great, I have had better. The fries were fried in the same oil as the fish and you could taste it. I would be cautious if you thought about ordering the chicken fingers.The coleslaw was tasty, I wish they gave you more. The hush puppies were ok. I didn’t like the crab cake but my dad enjoyed it. I like that this place is inside of lakewood camping resort and you can eat almost right on the beach.“

“Went to Locals on the Water our 1st night here and I’m here to tell you that the food at Shuckers is 110X better! Our family loved the nostalgia and the vibe! We had raw and cooked oysters and both were phenomenal! My son got the steam boil and it was fantastic and well seasoned!!! 10/10 recommend.“

I had the grilled oysters with Parmesan cheese and garlic, and the shrimp tacos ANDDD, the hibiscus margarita that was so good I had another! Our waiter, Kyle was very attentive and a pleasant server. I’m already looking forward to my next visit here!“
