“The food in Surfside is very good and service is as well, but, check for hidden fees and wrong prices. A side salad is an up charge of $2.50 as a side which we were not informed. I ordered a $10 drink during happy hour but was charged $14.90. So check before you order and check your ticket. Other than that you will enjoy the meal.“

“By far the best restaurant we have eaten at from North Myrtle to Surfside! The blackened Mahi Mahi was the best I’ve ever eaten! It had my daughter & I fighting over the fork. Make sure to try the ribs, pulled pork & those fried green tomatoes too (they had me coming back to Virginia searching for green tomatoes). Our waitress, Shay, took wonderful care of us & almost has us convinced to make the move to Surfside. We’ll definitely be visiting every time we make the journey back to the coast.“

“My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch at Captain John’s yesterday! I ordered the Captain John’s Halibut dinner! it was superb!Ate very bit! My husband had the chicken 🍗 parm sandwich, which he too enjoyed! I ended my meal with a freshly made Irish ☘️ coffee! All n all a wonderful time , with a wonderful staff! We will return!“

“Unbelievable food quality for a buffet. Everything is hot and fresh. I also enjoy the fact that very few items are fried. Great sauces on the fish selections and the crab legs are melt in your mouth good. Fair warning... don't eat so many crab legs that you miss out on the rest of the buffet. Oh, and save room for dessert!“

“I visited Kimbels for a wedding. The weather was fantastic and glad it was because the wedding was held on the bluffs. Such a beautiful setting. Appetizers were served to us by wandering waiters in an outside tent along with a bar and band. After the ceremony and wedding pix ... the people went inside where there were 4 food stations. So good. After we got our fill ... we went back outside under the tent to dance. It couldn't have been better!“

“The service was great . The only issue we had was with a party of 8 everyone’s food was too salty. I’m not one who is light on salt so for me to say salty …it was salty . A couple of the people couldn’t even eat their meal due to so much salt . It may been an off night for whoever was preparing the meals. Everything else was great .“

“The shrimp was the best thing on the menu. The fish wasn’t that great, I have had better. The fries were fried in the same oil as the fish and you could taste it. I would be cautious if you thought about ordering the chicken fingers.The coleslaw was tasty, I wish they gave you more. The hush puppies were ok. I didn’t like the crab cake but my dad enjoyed it. I like that this place is inside of lakewood camping resort and you can eat almost right on the beach.“

My family has had a timeshare with Westgate for almost 5 years and Drafts never disappoints…we only wished they opened earlier in the day. I had to personally make a review during our annual family vacay stay, because Danielle N. not only showed us exceptional customer service, but she gave us a tip so that we’re getting the most of our timeshare!!!“

She was sick and unfortunately passed away in September...we decided to honor her with dinner here last friday (3/6) as it wwould have been her 89th birthday...Food/staff was exceptional and even with a heavy heart, it really made me smile!🥹“
