So I took him to this restaurant and everyone treated us so very very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant the ambience is also very nice, however the waiter the maître d’ the manager waitresses, they all made the experience for me and my son amazing. I cannot wait to come back and just relax and enjoy the jazz music that was playing.“

“Today was my first visit to Chef Racks after many months of rave reviews from my friend and it is exceptional. I ordered the garlic shrimp that included 12 very large shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, and an egg that were covered in the special garlic sauce. Truthfully, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. So much so that I continued to just eat the sauce once the food was gone. My only regret is that I forgot to take a picture. I will be back for more shrimp and the crab soon. Highly recommend!“

“I liked the fish, loved the fries, the only thing is the seasoning. There was barely any salt on it and I wish they added even just a dash of lemon pepper on it, but the tartar sauce tasted homemade, very tasty, just that seasoning was all I was hoping for, ik your supposed to appreciate the fish, and I did, I thought it was good, I just wished there was something more to enjoy it with“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Mexican restaurant that truly offers authentic cuisine, and I must say, it was a remarkable experience. I started with the Tlayudas, which were incredibly delicious and a delightful departure from the ordinary; they are quite large, reminiscent of a pizza. Additionally, I ordered the charola de marisco, which was nothing short of amazing, featuring a variety of seafood that was 100% delicious. The service was exceptional as well; the waitress was not only attentive but also very friendly. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for genuine Mexican food in Charleston.“

“I ate an early dinner 10/3rd at 5:00pm. My server, Wendy, was excellent! She was attentive without hovering. I was torn between three choices and she helped me decide which of the three I should eat. The dish was excellent and just the right choice for me. I thought the caesar salad was fresh and delicious but had too much dressing for me. I would order it on the side next time. If you visit this restaurant, ask to be seated in Wendy's section!“

“The couple times I have been, Mr Nigel has been very hospitable and present in his building. He introduced himself and I told him I remembered his restaurant on Ashley phosphate. I specifically remembered a food critique from a social media influencer who basically trashed Mr. Nigels livelihood. I feel it is important to speak the truth about Mr. Nigel and his food. I knew this was not my experience. I have never had a bad meal from Nigels or Nolas. All of this to say, whatever experience that influencer had, is not what i had. His food is amazing. I will continue to patronize his restaurant. Only request is to keep that cornbread in stock because BABYYYYYYY I COULD EAT THAT ALL DAY LONG. SLABS OF IT. Thank you Mr Nigel for greeting me, making sure I am taken care of and my food has always been A-1. I wish you much success and I'm glad youre super close to my house. What a great spot! They had a live band tonight. Thank you again to you and your staff 😀 my photos are of the loaded shrimp and grits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Which has shrimp, crab, crawfish and 2 fried oysters with a bourbon butter sauce and i also got some red beans and rice. I ate the oysters right away and I don't even LIKE oysters. But that flavor of the batter made them disappear quickly...lol..so one photo has the oysters and one doesn't. I ate em😂. ANYTHING YOU GET IS GONNA HAVE FLAVOR! Just a local gal speaking my experience with some good soul food dishes. I had a fantastic meal tonight. Go check them out. They are worth a trip!“

“The food is very large. Portioned + the service is good, however, they're new so they don't quite have everything down yet, but they'll catch up like the rest of them. They're all very good and you always have plenty of leftovers“

“I had lunch here a few days ago and I absolutely enjoyed every taco I got. I had the supreme beef street taco, 2 Baja - shrimp tacos, and a birria street taco. Even the side of house-made guac was delicious that i ate the leftovers with a spoon.

“I was very excited to go there with a couple of my friends because I heard it was great. Our Margaritas had so much sour mix in them. The manager did try to correct it by making new ones, but they still were not good. The service was not good. I even asked the manager if our server was new. We had to ask for water, napkins and a plate so my friend could put together the fajitas that she ordered. There were so many refried beans on my salad that it was soupy. The refried beans were very watery. I was definitely disappointed and I won't be going back.“

These wonderful ppl were LITERALLY CLOSING BC THEY RAN OUT OF SEAFOOD, but managed to MAKE OUR DAY!!! “It still breaks my heart being originally from Houston that Charleston doesn’t have the dim sum options, but this was one of the good ones. We started out with the Dragon sampler which was very good. I especially enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Amazingly fresh. I ordered the dim sum sampler which was very good (so much so that I ordered extra shumai and har gow). My roomie ordered the chicken lo mein which he liked a lot. The waitress was perfectly attentive and the atmosphere was well designed. I will recommend and return.“

Food was ready upon arrival, and though NOT on their menu, this restaurant was the FIRST to accept the challenge to make Rosa Parks pancakes in honor of her birthday February 4th. Best Friends of Lowcountry Transit appreciate the support for Transit Equity Day, we have signed 47 people up on our Facebook page for the event, a nail salon has agreed to display your posters, and the food was delicious!!
