“Food is always consistent but seems to also be affected by the whole industry shift to provide less volume of food. Mainly fries but obviously a 12 count nugget still comes with 12 nuggets(sometimes 13 if you are lucky!) Staff is always great. Drive thru is always fast. Parking is a little tight due to the location. Cleaning inside and outside! Always my go to Chick-fil-A.“

“I don't always review chicken joints... but when I do...

…it involves a quiet pull into the parking lot of Zaxby's, where the air smells like crispy ambition and freshly dropped fries. The doors swing open, and suddenly you’re in a cathedral of golden tenders. Not loud. Not flashy. Just confident.

There’s a moment — tray in hand — when the Texas toast steams gently, the fries lean casually against a pile of chicken like they’ve known each other for years, and that little cup of Zax Sauce sits there with calm authority. You dip once. You nod. “Oh,” you say softly. Because some flavors don’t need applause. They need respect.

I remember settling into a booth, sunlight hitting the table just right, ice clinking in a plastic cup. No rush. Just that first bite — crisp outside, tender inside — the kind of balance that makes you reconsider your standards. “Greatness,” I’ve said before, “is often breaded and served with fries.”

But here’s the quiet truth: it wasn’t just about the chicken. It was about taking a pause. Letting the day slow down. Sharing a basket, passing the sauce, realizing that sometimes comfort doesn’t arrive with fireworks — it arrives in a red-and-white wrapper.

Simplicity, done well, is undefeated.

Stay saucy, my friends.“
