“Bistro 217 sat my little family last minute with no reservation on a busy Monday night instead of turning us down. And when I asked for an extra fruit cup for my 2yo, they not only grabbed one for me they cut the grapes too! Huge win for momma trying to eat with a child on her lap. Thank you so much for being so kind. And as always food was delicious.”

“My husband and I stopped in for dinner after a round of golf at True Blue. I expected a place with great beer choices but typical “bar food” dining choices. I was extremely impressed with the food quality. I ate a wonderfully fresh salad and the balsamic poppyseed dressing was addictive. Hubby ate crab cakes and the fried green tomatoes side was the best we’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend this place and we will be back soon!!”

“We had dinner at Perrone's Restaurant last night and every aspect of our meal was great. From friendly bartenders to attentive servers, we enjoyed our dinner thoroughly. We tried an octopus and a mussel appetizer, and both were flavorful and delicious. The mussel sauce in particular was so good, I could have sopped it up with an entire loaf of bread. Entrees were generous portions, and the chocolate cake for dessert was really good. If you are within an hour of this restaurant and have not tried it, you're missing one of the two or three best on the entire Grand Strand.”

I highly recommend the pretzel, French dip and their onion rings are very good, the chicken tenders are also great!! my daughter enjoys the burger and she loves their grilled cheese. The prices are also very affordable which is a great thing right now!”

“I live a few hours away. When we are nearby I ALWAYS give effort to make sure we go here on the way home. The staff are friendly, the decorations are unique and cool. The amount of flavors and gluten free/ vegan items almost match normal items. The variety in all categories is high. You can even choose what cone you want.(ex: smores cone, fruity pebbles etc ) There’s endless flavor combinations and all of them are good. HIGHLY reccomend”

“My go-to for desserts whenever I’m on vacation (and I LOVE ice cream!) The cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls and cakes are incredible (esp. the caramel and caramel pecan cake!) But the blueberry pie is without a doubt the best pie I have EVER eaten — anywhere! It is divine!!”

Not busy at all told to sit where we would like got to table and it was sticky all over the top of it mentioned to waitress she just looked at us we should have walked out but we were wanting to have the oysters so we endured the push off from the waitress we were very disappointed with the food and the very small amount of oysters that were brought to us food and dessert bar was very disgusting order a extra order of hushpuppies very cold and disgusting frozen hushpuppies very unclean unsantiary conditions all over the whole resturant”

“If you’re riding down Highway 17 through Pawleys Island and haven’t stopped at Pawleys Island Bakery yet, go ahead and fix that.

I’ve been meaning to swing by for a while and finally made it happen this morning. I called my order in ahead of time so it would be ready for pickup, and everything was smooth from the start. They’ve got plenty of parking — a nice, big, clean lot that makes it easy to get in and out without fighting traffic.

When you walk inside, it’s a cute, welcoming space with a counter full of beautiful desserts and baked goods. Even though I had already ordered, it was hard not to stand there and admire everything in the case.

I went with a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll — and it was better than I expected. Large, fresh, and clearly made with top-notch ingredients. One of those breakfast sandwiches that feels like it was done right, not rushed. You can taste the quality.

The staff member on duty was polite and genuinely hospitality-minded. It didn’t feel like a quick transaction. After handing over my order, there was a mention that cakes were being baked in the back and that normally there would be more cakes in the case — just letting me know more items were coming out. That kind of small detail says a lot about customer service. It felt thoughtful and welcoming.

They had three coffee options today: cinnamon bun, pecan, and Kona. I went with the plain Kona, and it was a great cup of coffee — smooth and flavorful. My only “complaint”? I wish the cup was just a little bigger.

All in all, Pawleys Island Bakery delivered a solid breakfast experience — good food, good coffee, and good hospitality. I’ll definitely be back to try some of those cakes next time.”
